Who Don you ever dealt with a speedster twin 717 with a faulty MPEM keep blowing the 5amp fuse.and now more asseseries and not working blower dds starter.I read somewhere you could replace the diodes under the epoxy any one on the channel know about this? Thanks Don great service video's 👍 love it
I have not dealt with a twin 717 MPEM, but I did blow the MPEM on my 1998 Seadoo GTS with a 717 engine. I have a "No Start" video in which I replaced the e-box and wiring harness. My 5 amp fuse would blow when I connected the battery. I have not done the diode replacement, but I have watched at least one or two videos where it was done.
Don can you make a video on the electrical of this ski? I have a 97 but has the 787 engine. I’ve seen your other videos only different mpem check. I’m lost on this one.
Can you be more specific? Does your ski crank over when you press the start button? Does it have spark? That 97 XP that I took the engine from had no spark. I figure it was a bad ground wire or stator because I believe the MPEM is good.
