Ok here's something I did when I went to Japan and it really is pretty good idea maybe not in staying safe per say but if you don't speak the language. Before leaving your hotel get their brochure. Why because if like me you don't speak the language you can one at least get a taxi back by just showing the brochure to the driver or even better sometimes hotels if called can pick you up having the brochure will include the phone number. For the times you don't have local guides and just exploring on your own. For safety purposes is I always hired reputable travel guides they can save you so much time and help you avoid a lot of troubles.
🇨🇷Thank you for sharing glimpses of your getaway! Glad you all had a good time. We’re not big travelers. We live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains which is filled with beautiful scenery, wildlife, and waterfalls.
🇨🇷 trip looked amazing! My favorite place I’ve been was Tunisia , best food ever… people were the nicest in Fiji strangest was Mauritania and Benin. I miss traveling. Safe travels home my friend.
The most prepped I've been was to Cuba, there was nothing there. Even brought our own toilet paper! But so interesting it was definitely worth it. Had a wonderful guide.
Beautiful scenery, except for the snake! Congratulations on qualifying for the trip!🇨🇷 Great tip on carrying a CO monitor. I have some regular sized ones that I can move from room to room as needed (I heat with propane) and one that I keep with my camp stove. As for traveling, my favorite place that I have been is London, England. I spent 2 1/2 weeks there many years ago and loved it. A place that I always wanted to visit is Italy. I doubt I will ever make it there in person, though, since world events make travel less appealing to me. Thank God for books and the internet!
I couldn't find the flag, however the place I'd like to be someday, not necessarily today is in Heaven with our Father. I am not suicidal I just love God so much that's where I want to be.
What a wonderful trip, congrats on qualifying for it! It looks so beautiful, I've never been to Costa Rica. I love the idea of a portable carbon monoxide detector for travel. I hadn't heard of that before. I think I'll get one for myself, and I have a friend who travels constantly & stays in small boutique hotels as well as vacation rentals. He'd love this, I'll get him one too. Thanks for sharing that and for sharing your beautiful trip with us! 🇨🇷
I ❤ the Grand Canyon of the places to where I have been fortunate to travel. Thanks for sharing. We keep a CO2 detector at home and in our camper. I am going to get one of those little ones.
🏳🌈 (Couldn't find Costa Rica) LOL My favorite place so far was probably the NC coast. I really want to get to Bryce Canyon, Montana, and Alaska. Looks like you had a beautiful trip!
Funny all the hoops and hassles you have to jump through to leave the country, but some guy from China said getting back in is easy. In fact, I hear you get free transportation and even a gift card!
I also travel with carbon monoxide detectors or go to Walmart and buy them when I arrive- I’ve purchased several combo alarms for airbnbs over the years when we’ve arrived and there aren’t any!
Thanks for sharing - the place that I would like to go most and a huge part of my ancestry (English, Irish, Scottish Welch, and German) is Ireland. I know one day that I will go there. Since I live in Florida as far as going to beachfront places and things like that, we're surrounded by water and I've been to so many places when I did travel nursing, so those don't interest me- but Ireland and even Scotland would be the two places that I would want to go 🥳
