It helped me. Same case, but the motor and that was not it. I got an F150 2002 so now I have to replace the motor switch and I’m hoping I’m done. I took it all apart and put it. Ack together until further notice. Bought a motor at auto zone and I took it back. Thank for the info!
So my dad’s passenger side has the problem of going down but not up, it’s probably the switch. The only other problem is that the driver side works but at some point the power cuts out and will stop working for a couple days. What can be causing this issue? The dash and head unit power also seems to dim.
I've tried bypassing the GEM. The motor works going up. The motor works up and down if I power it with a jump starter battery. I ordered a switch from Amazon so we will see if it works on Saturday. Does anyone know why there are two resistors and diodes in the switch?
I have this same issue and tried the Amazon switches for $14.00 and lasted two weeks. I'm wondering if these cheap switches really work. If you go to AutoZone or Oriley the switch is $125.00 which is a huge difference. Did the cheap Amazon switch fix your issue?
