Hello every one here this is short video of bad oil leak i fixed today for a customer on this 99 silverado 5.3
quick diagnossis after sseing that the oil was coming from top of the transmission so i knew that it possible was the pressure sensor.

What about oil on spark plug drivers side rear plug, and in the oil catch can the oil is like chocolate milk. Oil spit out of the catch can filter. The 5.3l v8 has single turbocharger. Engine has no knock or claddering happening. But it starts smoking badly idling oil hitting exhaust manifold pretty sure. But what would cause oil to foul plug and blow out of the catch can filter? A clogged valve cover windage valley on the inside of valve cover?

I’m not a mechanic, but there are two inspection holes on the bell housing and I looked in there and did not see any oil, so I’m looking at this oil pressure sensing switch.

Hey, can you please let me know a specific link or store that I can get that socket from. AutoZone has one but it doesn't go all the way on to the sensor to catch on to the grooves. Please help me. I have this exact same leak on a 2002 Chevy Silverado 4.8l engine.

Sometimes there are other things blocking the socket from fitting over the sensor so you'll have to remove the intake manifold to replace it. It's better to do it that way anyway because you get to inspect the wiring harnesses to the knock sensors, cam position sensor as well as the OPS.
