How do we torque reverse thread? I believe split beam torque wrenches only torque in one direction. Excellent choice going with Precision Instruments nonetheless.
You got shit torque wrenches, I use Stahlwille Monoskop, haven’t seen a better mechanical torque wrench than that on earth yet, it’s so good when I tell people about its features they just straight thought I don’t know anything about my torque wrenches. Because normally you need to set it back to zero after each use, can’t use it as a breaker bar, can’t drop it on the ground, super delicate. But on Monoskop series you can, it is specifically listed in the user manual, I think Germans really do use torque wrenches quite extensively, that’s why they make their torque wrenches so tough.
It's not that easy to use that wrench and normally it would be better if you could apply the torque symmetrically or to press against the nut at the same time but it's not possible. There are pneumatic impact guns for this but I think they cost tens of thousands of dollars unless you find perhaps a used one
Impact tools might damage the centerlock, I've seen a tool a guy published on rennlist, with some torque converter, still expensive, but attractive idea. Yes, make sure you have some pressure on the tool so it seats properly, I did damage (but was able to fix) a centerlock by not making sure it was correctly fitted.
