Just like my first test (with Sellier & Bellot) I got with Aguila the same result.

124g is ideal balance between weight and speed. And it is more accurate as well. (It is under sonic barrier) Very smart round. I have 1300 rounds of 9mm FMJ 124g.

Nice, simple test video Jack! I bought a box of 300 rds. of the Aguila 124gr. Haven't been able to get out & shoot it, but I can't wait!!

Can you do this same style test, but in 22LR? I’m interested to know how far 22 can go into wood.

You should repeat this test with a 3 inch barrel pistol to know which ammo is better for this kind of weapon.

I wonder how 147 would compare?
@jacktheshark7440
@jacktheshark7440 4 года назад
Charles Phillips, I think it would go less deeper its a slower bullet plus it's a "Flat Nose". It is important to mention that 147gr gives "failures to feed" to my Beretta 92fs and I also have them in my Glock 17, not so often but it happens, which has made me stay away from buying them. But I will make the test soon¡¡ (124gr vs 147gr) thanks brother!

Do you have hollow points for self defence?
@jacktheshark7440
@jacktheshark7440 3 года назад
Yes i have hollow points brother,, but i don't underestimate FMJ despite the fact they are mainly for practice, they can also cause a lot of damage too.

Jack I understand that FMJ can and are occasionally used for self-defense, but it is not my choice. I prefer hollow points and for that reason I'd like to have the evidence I need to make an informed decision!

@@jacktheshark7440also let's not forget in the military we use fmj! It's almost impossible to find a soldier with hollow point in their side arm!!

@@ChrisMcullick Here in Brazil, ballistics experts are recommending FMJ and with the heaviest tip possible, due to better performance on indirect targets and possible barriers such as car doors and windows...
