GREAT test, thank you. Well done! (I do wish they all could've had the same tips...but that's what they make) In handguns I favor the 115's - but the 124's shoot darned good. In a carbine I get MUCH better accuracy with the 147's.
your right, a draw for penetration, however the 124 grain left a cleaner set of holes. though this video is simple it teaches allot. thank you my friend.
Most over the shelf 357 is loaded lighter than originally intended for the round. Some people will load to the original specification. Manufacturers started lightening the load because S&W was having a series of light revolver crack their frames. Which is a problem with the revolver to me not the ammo. Underwood sells the original loading.
Vorrei capire? 40sw, in 5^ generazione FS.
I tried to shoot the Aguila ammo out of three different guns, I was unable to get more than three shots off before I had a malfunction. Their ammo disappointed completely, good news none of them blew up
I realize most defensive shooting takes place up close, but I still like the momentum/energy of a heavier bullet, at say 50 yards. I'd like to see the test performed at 50, or 75 yards, just for kicks.
S&B 115 grain FMJ ammo is rated at 418 ft/lbs of energy which is awesome for FMJ 9mm ammo - I have shot probably around 2-3k rounds with no issues at all. It is definitely one of my favorite range ammos.
