+The PLUG why not? I mean he said he's willing to work with anybody and their "beef" isn't really beef like asap said he doesn't even know Travis. so I think I could happen
they used to be quite cool, actually. Back when Travis was Travi$, the new crackhead in the rap scene, him and Rocky met more than once.. they're rare pictures about it online though.
Lmao both Asap Rocky and Travis Scott are fucking talented and nobody can argue that they drive different vibes but they both gold. A collab WOULD be fire af tho lol
Rocky is top 5 this generation for me, props. He's good for the culture, he's got substance, he's a real artist. ALLA was my personal favorite album of the year. Salute real. I'm going to Yams day too.
Freddie Gibbs, Jay Rock, Nipsey Hussle, YG, Schoolboy Q, Earl Sweatshirt, B.o.B, Big Sean, Caskey, Tyler The Creator, Yelawulf, Drake, Meek Mill, Action Bronson, A$AP Rocky, Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, Big K.R.I.T, Cy Hi The Prynce, King Los, Joey Bada$$, Wale, Kendrick Lamar, & J. Cole... I'd say top 20, but he's somewhere up there though, for sure.
Top 20 for me is probably Kendrick, A$AP Rocky, Pusha T (his solo stuff started with this gen so Imma count him), Lupe Fiasco (he came out same time as Drake), Freddie Gibbs, Schoolboy Q, Ab Soul, Earl Sweatshirt, Chance the Rapper, Big KRIT, Joey Bada$$, Danny Brown, Jay Rock, Vince Staples, Action Bronson, Drake, Meek Mill, Flatbush Zombies, and either Tyler or Childish Gambino.
Govinda Jones Yeah, Lupe is in my top 5 of all time, I didn't count him. I'd put him & Pusha in a whole different category, simply because of both of their ages. For example, people think Curren$y is a part of this new era group of rappers, but he really isn't. Also,I thought Drake came out in like 2008, Lupe started blowing up towards the end 0f 2005.
Twizz The Whiz Kid Drake's first mixtape was '06 and they were both featured in some article together or some shit like that. Actually that's why I didn't include Curren$y. So this gen would be under 30 you think? Cuz Danny Brown is older than that I think.
Govinda Jones Yeah, I'd say the new generation consists of artists under 30. Which, Push & Lupe both are well over the age of thirty. Also, Drake's 1st 2 mixtapes ''Room For Improvement'' & ''Comeback Season'' were dope, but he didn't really start blowing up until ''So Far Gone'' came out... that was in '08 when Wayne signed him.
Look at Travis now, Rocky got hella fucked, Astroworld was fire while testing was dogshit (I am waiting for the idiots commenting that he was ¨testing¨styles that's why he names it that. Just fk off)
@@JohnnyFast yuh Testing was ass cuz he was testing sounds. Like Huncho Jack was ass 2. But they're both great. So Imma keep hoping for that collab in the future.
RASHIGANBABY astroworld wasnt fire it was alright at most, and testing was the same but it got overshadowed and people were expecting a different album coming in
Not really cuz they both influenced by the hip hop scene of Houston and its psychedslic visual and sound effect but thats it cuz the rest of the music is different flacko is way more lyrical, trav is more melodic and use more sound effects like adlibs and autotune and one is mode classic nyc rap and the other is more trap
Because Travis looks like Rocky but with a melted face and since that TMZ thing when people called him Rocky it just steamrolled from there as a huge joke.
Duh I know it's an h town sound you'll be crazy if you say Travis sounds like he's from Houston more than asap, i was down there and them niggas of course like him atleast some of them but the majority of them say asap with his sound is more Houston than Travis 6 months ago I was in Atlanta at the six flags and you know what I heard on everyone's radio including my own? Travis Scott, day and night, he's really respected up there, most casual listeners don't even know he from Texas
ASAP Rocky is one of so very many great genuine young man nothing but love for this young man I see his life lifting to the unlimited through Christ our Lord Continue to love always….
Don't be a hater. I paid to get mine straightened with braces too. So what??!!! They're still mine!!! lol and I believe the word you were looking for is "falcon" and NO it's not. It's perfectly AFRO AMERICAN just how I like em'. Take care now.
Ebro is one of the most well-spoken dudes I've seen on any podcast/interview ever... mans always knows what to say and the right questions to ask...even when he don't, he understands that whatever he says can get picked apart easily, so he processes what he wants to get across and delivers it like a g.
I've always appreciated Rocky's sense of style like Rock needs to have his own fashion line. "F L V C K O by Rakim Mayers" or something like that. Then he could collab with Yeezus on that level.
Fuckin love this guy... his (and his crews) music is the only respectable hip hop after the Wu Tang Clan... I wake up everyday with your songs... they helped me a lot
if trav copying anybody musicly, its kanye and cudi, when it comes to his style, asap explained that well. he just a rapper getting fly everybody dress the same yall act like every fashion page on IG aint got the same shit on it
conradmuurry mer All he says is that it sounds like a future tune. But being a musician I take it differently. When someone says your song sounds like someone else's sound, I take it as their not impressed or didn't like it.
A$AP Rocky is Top 10 for me. He knows how to conduct himself, he has earned his keep, and his music is really fucking good. He is doing great things for hip-hop, even if some of you don't see it yet/ever.
Fuck yes, Rocky! We need to see every artists supporting each other, especially in Hip Hop. Coming together for the music, rather than waiting for some fucking stupid ass money to hit your bank account before you decide to write a couple bars about some shit you don't even feel. Do it for the love of the music and the culture.
