Yall can have that shit. I'm gonna sit on my comfortable couch with affordable beer and my choice of foods. Then I can get some butt instead of being tortured during the half time show.
@@darthboi9358 Michigan sits on 16 acres. This model stadium of 1 million goes upwards to fit most seats. It does not extend much width or length wise. It's not an enlargement of Michigan stadium. If it was, maybe 160 acres makes a little more sense.
"it will take up an entire room" I couldn't ☠️ 🤣 I know what he meant like the original computers took an entire building so it would be this giant room but holy
@@glacietheglaceon5584 Yeah. I mean, the design taking up a room isn’t exactly a good idea for scale. They could have made it as big or as small as they wanted to. It’s just a prototype after all. They just so happened to choose the design that took up a room.
I doubt it would even take up 160 acres either. If you think about it, the amount of seats added goes up each row because it is a circle. However, if every single person drove themself, you would need a 7346 acre parking lot, or a parking lot 10 miles long in each direction.
yeah, area and perimeter are EXTREMELY DIFFERENT. let's say that if an area of land were 36m^2, each side being 6m long then in order to increase the area by ten (what he is trying to do), you would not just multiply all the sides by 10m and get 60m. That would give you an area of 3600m^2. Instead, only if it's a square though, you would just find the square root of the area multiplied by 10. in this case each side would be, 10*36=360 and the length would be 18.9736. Rectangles and other shapes are pretty easy too though.
This video is so dumb: 1. Assumption that a stadium with ten times the capacity takes ten times the land. My dude, no. It needs only 1 playing field and most of the seating is built above the other seating. At most it would be like 4 times the land area. 2. Even if it did take up 160 acres, that doesn’t make it “impossible to build.” People have built much bigger structures on much more land. 3. Saying it’s so big it takes up a room is meaningless. “He means the model.” Yeah so? What scale model? What size room? Say a 1/100 scale model took up an area the size of x. That is still not an easy way to grasp the size of the structure and it would be simpler to use comparisons to its full scale dimensions. But it would at least help.
The design was obviously cool. But Jesus stop talking and just show us the design with like 5 to 10 seconds of intro. We ain’t here for you we are here for the art
Could you imagine a huge stadium? Someone designed one...Michigan is pretty big..but imagine a stadium bigger than Michigan. Someone designed one. It's a big stadi.....STFU!!!!!!!!
You would probably see it on the big screens in the stadium but at that point just go home and watch it on a 70 inch flat-screen if you can. And skip the day wait for a parking spot.
Flaws: Imagine the walk to the top, or waiting the whole game for an elevator The stadium would never fill At the top it will look like ants running The amount of vendors they would have would be insanely high The amount of workers to clean all the trash Edit: you all brought up parking and traffic and that's very true
Making a 1,000,000 seat stadium does not mean multiplying the land size of Michigan by 10. I’m sure you could build a stadium of 1,000,000 seats with less that 160 acres of land. Makes no sense 🤣
FYI if you want to be super close to the flyover, buy tickets at the last row of the U of M stadium on either the North or South end. Photographers would buy those seats out on purpose.
I almost die walking down to my seats. I can only imagine what will definitely happen when I try to walk up to my seats in Row YYYYYYYYYYY Seat numbers 810,000 to numbers 810,004!!! Blind drunk the entire time!!! Me either
You need to think about the logic used for the number of acres it would take. The stadium would be going up not out. So it would be larger than 16, but it wouldn’t be 160…
I mean. That’s not how the math would work out. 10 times the people isn’t 10 times the space. He has more layers so he’s building on top of what he has multiple times. Not making the stadium bigger
While the math isn’t accurate, it is disingenuous to act like a million seat stadium wouldn’t be much much larger. You can’t just stack 900,000 seats on top of the original 100k
@@deranged1103 only 100? Out of 1 million people, say 500K needed to use the bathroom throughout the day there. That's 5K people going through each bathroom...nah you'd need at least 1K bathrooms to accommodate. By that point, the water bill would be so insane a profit would be practically impossible to achieve.
Wait 160 acres? Dude area doesn't multiply linearly, multiplying the acreage by 10x expands the area by 100x. There is a reason putting something to the power of 2 is also called the square of that number. Seriously man if you're going to make content at least put some effort in
Bro at first I read it as parking deer god. Like a giant deer that's the god of parking, looking down at is mere mortals, blessing and curating our parking lots
Eh wouldn’t be that bad. They would do a couple tall parking decks for like 10,000 or 20,000 cars that would be staff and vip parking on site. The rest would be like a bikes tire with the stadium as a mass transit hub with like 8 spokes going out to the outskirts of the city up to about 100 miles with 5 parking decks spaced out on each spoke about every 20 miles one that accommodate like 20k cars and double as city business parking when events not going on. So that would give the city a nice useful mass transit and spaced out enough to not congest to bad and most would take a bus or walk to a station anyway. if built like this it would make enough parking for 800,000 cars which would be way more than is needed.
The acres wouldn’t multiply by 10, just look at the design it’s going to be higher up. Plus you can’t really put someone 35/40 acres away from the event they’re watching
