A lot of masculine wisdom is communicated silently, through action and demonstration, but I really deeply appreciate when a man is frank and honest about what helps him find fulfillment. Thank you sir.
Yeah, I’m glad this sort of conversation is becoming more common on the internet, gives me a peace of mind that with all the craziness going on the youth can see how to act right, to quote suda51: “kids are pure, they know who’s strongest”
I was gonna say the exact same thing. I learned good stuff watching my dad. My mom was awful (I'm a young lady) I wish he wouldn't given me more direction and guidance with his words. I really appreciate channels where I can get what I missed from my parents
There are a few words for Peace in Scripture and the connotations, definitions are also connected to Completeness, which is necessary to have the entire concept of Shalom In Hebraic (and Scriptural) thought. In the Greek the word is G1515 εἰρήνη eirḗnē, i-ray'-nay; probably from a primary verb εἴρω eírō (to join); peace (literally or figuratively); by implication, prosperity:-one, peace, quietness, rest, + set at one again. To truly be at peace is to be complete. Shalom H7965 שָׁלוֹם shâlôwm, shaw-lome'; or שָׁלֹם shâlôm; from H7999; safe, i.e. (figuratively) well, happy, friendly; also (abstractly) welfare, i.e. health, prosperity, peace:-× do, familiar, × fare, favour, friend, × great, (good) health, (× perfect, such as be at) peace(-able, -ably), prosper(-ity, -ous), rest, safe(-ty), salute, welfare, (× all is, be) well, × wholly. My friends, be at Shalam H7999 שָׁלַם shâlam, shaw-lam'; a primitive root; to be safe (in mind, body or estate); figuratively, to be (causatively, make) completed; by implication, to be friendly; by extension, to reciprocate (in various applications):-make amends, (make an) end, finish, full, give again, make good, (re-) pay (again), (make) (to) (be at) peace(-able), that is perfect, perform, (make) prosper(-ous), recompense, render, requite, make restitution, restore, reward, × surely. Shalam, Shalom Aleichem, Aleinu, May It Rest Upon And Within You, And May We All Be Encompassed By It. In The Name Of The Messiah YaHUsHa יהושע of Nazareth, I pray yes, and Amên אמן. Love, Peace, And Elbow Grease Y'all!
This channel randomly started showing up on my feed. I'm not into country music or cigars or dressing like a cowboy or anything... But damn... I've seen several videos of this guy, and I very much do enjoy what he has to say. They hit the heart and soul and they are just uplifting and positive. THIS is more of what the world needs. Good values. Respect. Much respect to this guy- truly.
Same here. This man's video just showed up on my feed, and i love listening to him. Btw, i do love cigars. Thank you sir for your kind spirit, and your wisdom! The world needs more people like you. Bless you abundantly.
Same. I ignored them at first but watched the full 30 min conversation with his wife on their marriage. Audio was horrible but I couldn't stop listening. Sent it to the wife and we found it refreshing. Good to know our marriage experience/PoV is similar.
@@Reaper-su2ov I agree. I am religious, but I also don't agree with everything he has to say. However, if you can even find one nugget of wisdom that you can use, it's well worth it. Even when I don't agree with him, he's entertaining and he makes me think.
I’m a software engineer, writing code in the office all day, but my true passion is playing guitar. It just resets me. I love the natural world. The ocean. Animals. I’ll never be able to fully comprehend the amount of beauty in this world. Music.
@Geo HTX I'm not really an engineer since I don't have an engineering degree. But I am a software developer. There are two routes you can take. One is going for a degree through college. This route takes about 3 years. It takes time and it's kinda expensive. The other route is self-education. This means looking up what is being taught in college, opening RU-vid or Udemy or whatever, and watching courses. Most college courses you'd take you can find on the internet. Heck MIT has a whole semester of math and computer science on their RU-vid channel. This route of course takes dedication. You wanna make sure the lectures and courses you're watching are good and have credible information. Now, of course, the latter option won't get you a degree or anything, but in the high-tech world, it's less about degrees and more about the experience you gain in learning. That's why it's good to work on projects while learning. Whether if private, or contributing to an open source. Can increase your resume, and help you learn a bit faster and better. If you want some resources for self-teaching, here are some: Udemy - look for a course in whatever field that has the most students and the highest review rate. Tech with Tim - a channel on RU-vid of a pretty cool guy. Teaches just about anything related to programming. MIT on YT - MIT RU-vid channel has a few courses for math, data structures, and computer science in general. Professor Leonard - A RU-vid channel of a cool math professor.
Glad to know that there is a man left on planet Earth who still lives a man’s life. I had a walk yesterday with my 2 year old granddaughter. She held my hand. We talked about the crickets that we heard thrumming in the woods. We looked for the moon in a cloudy sky, and picked up sticks and a few pieces of straw along the way. I carried her on part of the return trip and she tugged on the leaves of some low-hanging tree limbs. I was completely filled up in the manner that you describe.
“A man who still lives a man’s life” is probably my only goal in life I’m 18 and have tons of work to go to be that person but who the hell doesn’t at 18
The only thing that makes you a REAL man is respecting Christ. Wearing a cowboy hat while flicking a cigar doesn't help masculinity any more than wearing Quicksilver trunks and drinking lemonade.
This was beautiful. I feel people think success is lots of money, nice cars, fame, etc. and all that stuff can be a part of the success, but I truly believe a successful person is someone who has become truly happy in life. No matter if you are a school teacher or a billionaire, if you become truly happy in life, you have become successful.
That was actually one of the most beautiful and grounded talks I've ever experienced. Such a humble man that just about anyone with half a brain can resonate with. May God bless you, sir.
As a non-religious man myself, you make me feel exceptionally comfortable and like I am still deserving to hear what you have to say. You continue to give me perspective on how I can lead a better life, and be a better man. Take care & thank you!
i dont think of it has religion its a way of life i dont like the word religion makes it seem fake and ran by rules. it should be out of love and thankfulness.
It has zero to do with religion. It’s your deep spiritual connection with almighty God. It took me a long time to figure that one out as I was raised Baptist. 🙏🇺🇸
I think it's spiritual connection to something bigger than yourself. God is a very western concept. As a Hawaiian, we are polytheistic, meaning everything is divine., the rocks, the trees, the stars, even us etc. It's the recognition that we are all part of the divine. Its when we separate ourselves from that universal order that we are incomplete, lost, disconnected. All traditional tribal cultures knew this. They lived very harmonious with nature because being in nature demanded that your physical, spiritual and soul all be present in order to navigate it properly.
@@dlindo8892 What are you talking about... religion and "God" are concepts tightly connected to each other. I think you just found a good way to live with yourself, but rather than accepting it and rolling with it, you still feel the need to stick to that "God" thing.
@@IntrovertedLoLo Cigars don’t actually give that cancer, predominantly because you don’t inhale it into your lungs. They’re not cigs, things you huff down for an addiction; they’re a leisurely thing that you enjoy with time.
As a beach boy turned gym rat turned responsible Father Husband and school teacher I’m thinking I wanna’ be a cowboy when I grow up 🤣I am very grateful for your graceful POV.
I've stumbled across this channel, I'm so glad I have! As a combat veteran it's hard to find perspective, hard to seek help and at times hard to take advice. I'm glad I've "listened" to your channel...I appreciate your candor and honesty and down to earth vital advice.... I've been in a weird way as of late..and listening to your channel has been an "aha" moment! God bless you and yours sir! Thank you so much for your channel and what you do!
You're very comforting. My mom passed when I was 8 and my dad eventually allowed my narc stepmom to push me out of the family. The holidays are hard. You're like an online uncle ❤️
What a great word man. I'm sitting out on the patio with my 2 dogs. It's almost 3 am. I just looked up at the stars like I do sometimes & said to God. I don't get man. What am I doing here. I do have a blessed life, I also have 7 children & a wife. 4 daughters & 3 sons. I have definitely become unbalanced. I sat down and listened to this message. It was probably God having a little conversation w me. Very cool. Have a wonderful day.
The timing of your video couldn’t have been better. I’ve been haunted by a question posed in a sermon I heard this week, “ do you enjoy, sincerely enjoy the life God has given you?” Dewayne has hit the nail on the head. God has given us the way and the means to “ have life and to have it more abundantly “, and to have joy in God Himself. Anything apart from that will be unbalanced as Dewayne said. Thanks Dewayne, God bless you!
@@josephang9927 Ill pray for you Joseph. I know life can be tough (a lot of times, too much it seems) but know that God loves us all. He suffered the same pains we do so that we can be pain- free one day. Try to look for the beauty and look for God, just because the devil is here too doesnt mean Gods message need be lost. He loves us, he tests us too, look at these troubles as tests and you as a soldier of God. Keep pushing forward brother, we got this🙏🏻
Hi Dwayne, I just wanted to let you know that it's actually *August 5th* 😊 You may want to double check/adjust the date on your watch, so you don't get any of your appointments mixed up.
Dewayne, I found your channel while searching RU-vid for some work related content. You say some very profound things. Even more so than the preacher at my church. Your words cause me to really reflect on my words and actions. Some things I need to change in my life. Thank you for these videos. In my own life, I moved to Switzerland for work back in 2018. I have become very fond of getting out in nature and going on hikes. It’s something that checks all 3 boxes for me. It refreshes me, and makes me a better husband and father. I really appreciate your videos, insights, wisdom and outlook on life. I grew up on a small farm, but moved away at age 18. I’m missing that way of life. I’m looking into taking a vacation next year and attending one of your wrangler schools. It would really check off the 3 boxes for me. Your website is under construction now, and I can’t see any future dates, but I check it everyday, waiting for the openings in 2025. Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s what we all need to hear. Thank you, brother!
Thanks, Dewayne. Here’s my contribution. There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar; I love not Man the less, but Nature more. - Lord Byron I was encouraged to read Byron by my HS English teacher. I assume she’s long gone now. I wasn’t an easy student for her, but she cared, and it showed. God Bless her. I became a Forest Ranger
Great video Duane. You have been blessed. I fell in love with the Salmon River area about 4 years ago. I went to look at buying a chunk of land. I am starting over. I want to get out of Washington state in a bad way. I grew up here on a farm and it has changed so much. While my Mom is still alive I will stay here. I want to do some horse riding there but haven't gotten a chance yet. When I do I may get a hold of your sons outfit. Thanks
I had a realization a few months ago of almost exactly what you said. Hearing it come from a well spoken good souled man really is powerful. Im 26 and started getting into collecting antiques and finding nice art pieces I have a small antique lamp collection and they are all works of art. I started playing piano and overall real self improvement. Deleted social media except RU-vid and Snapchat. I even open my bible up way more often. It’s a wacky world in todays society with social pressures, political wars and media nonsense. But he’s spot on in this video.
Me myself an I a body mind an spirit Made in the image of God of no limit Mother nature is the church to visit Body mind and the spirit is the ticket You have spirit don't forget a skillet
I so need this in my life...even if just on the weekends as a novice ranch hand or day laborer. Sometimes I feel like a caged lion spending my weekends sitting around . I'm a Carpenter by trade and a bodybuilder by hobby but I feel I need something of this nature to make me whole...
I’m glad to finally have this feeling put into words and explained. Recently I’ve been feeling that emptiness, like there’s nothing for me to do, nothing to achieve. And I think it’s because I was neglecting my body too much. I never really cared about my physical self, I always just thought it was more of a “vessel,” that didn’t matter, especially since I’m gonna die some day anyways. But now that I hear this, I understand why I feel so much better whenever I go camping, or work on cars, or just go outside for a walk. This video genuinely helped me and really made me reflect and think. Thank you, genuinely.
In the early 90s I backpacked across Italy. When in Rome I visited the Vatican and saw the Pieta by Michelangelo. I suddenly began crying at the beauty and symbolism of the sculpture. I had never been so moved by a piece of art. It was the closest to God that I have ever been.
God bless you my friend. I’ve only just recently been led to you, but you’ve changed my life. We all need redirecting back to what’s truly important, so thank you and blessings to you and your family.
Unbelievable I’m a grown man in tears. I needed this so much mister. I’m honestly humbled, thankful, restored. You are a true Christian and I am a forever fan
Thanks brother. You touched my heart. As I lay down to sleep tonight, I shall review Psalms with a new open mind. I needed that. My heart is broken and heavy. I have a window always open to the beauty of his magnificence. I know that HE is there. And I know that is the glory of His creation. Consider me to be a follower. Ps. I like the small cigars.
I’m in the middle of a cabin build as a means of doing physical work. I have bone on bone in my right heel joint that is painful 24 x 7. I’m over 55. I wake up most mornings without the ability to put weight on my foot. I spend time with the Trinity each morning. I’m so imperfect, but I know I’m improving. There is something about getting yourself balanced that is deeply satisfying. I sleep tonight with gravel and dirt embedded in my knees…it’s the stuff soap won’t touch. Blessings brother. We all love you.
I had the pleasure of bearing witness to the granjure of The Grand Canyon. All of it was truly awe inspiring but when I got to a certain overlook near the Buzzards Roost i believe, The walls of the canyon floor opened up and there was a canyon inside a canyon and i was stopped on my tracks like something hit me in my chest...i forgot how to breathe...it felt down in my Soul that i had finally returned to a place i had long forgot and the Earth was welcoming me Home. I was Home. And the next rhing i know i was crying tears of joy and happiness at the profound beauty of that place. Im crying now as i recount it. I was weak kneed and had to hold onto the rail to stand up. It was the mosr beautiful thing ive ever seen and it awakened something in my Soul.
Hi Dewayne thank you for your program .I'm from South africa and always wear boots and have a stetson .beside that I'm always told You are not a Cowboy .so what in my heart I am . Thanks again for all your advise .I'm 64 years old and I learn so much from your videos. You are an inspiration in my life . These are tough but when I look at your videos I feel alive again . Thanks again for you and Mamma .Danie Scholtz South Africa.
Dewayne, been listening to a numbers of your "spiels" (Yiddish for "talks"), enjoying every minute! It's encouraging to hear someone discourse on being self-reliant, developing their own opinions, standing firm in the face of adversity, being respectful of others' "territories" and ways of life, valuing physical labor and the work we are placed to do; even from an East Coast city slicker it all resonates! Honesty facing our own self is the key to having honest relations with others, thank you also for bringing up what might be some uncomfortable topics for some. You are welcome to have your say, I don't think anyone should begrudge you that although they in the end they may chooser to differ. I think you've become a source of common-sense information for many and we are all the richer for it. Peace and blessing, be well.
Your blessed because you share testimony of His glory. We are to serve him not the other way around. Glad you speak your mind. Definition of a Man. Please continue.
You are so right and I know the feeling you describe so well. Personally, I have to go out into nature to feel calm. 2-3 weeks every summer, in a tent, fishing and living as simple a life as possible. Every evening by the fire is a blessing in itself and you feel a peace that surpasses everything else. I grew up in the 60s and unfortunately it seems that today's young people only have material needs and little desire to leave the sofa and comfort. Take care & God bless.
Thank you! I have been in balance and done everything I can to stay there. It's not easy, but, that's what makes it all worthwhile. I am a wanderer, a writer of poetry, and a visual artist. I stand my ground and praise God for the life he has blessed me with. Thank you again!
Your wisdom reminds me so much of my dad. I'm heading home now for Thanksgiving and I just can't wait to hug that man. Thank you for your amazing words
Thank you sir. As a university student, this message deeply resonated with me. School often teaches us that the only knowledge is book knowledge, but this alone leads to a shallow life. You speak of true knowledge, which leads to a full and enriched life. God bless you and your family❤
If university taught you the truly important things in life, in order, many would realize university are low on the list. That's their fear. So they indoctrinate women to forgo the idea of family & concentrate on school and finances while teaching men to question their identity & pursue a life outside their God given gender. This is the breakdown of the same family structure this gentleman is thanking God for
I am a 55 year old man and Dwayne’s videos and advice have helped me a lot. One of his videos answered a question about life that I had carried with me unanswered of years and he answered it. God bless this man.
I love these kinds of videos. I was raised in the city all my life. I have dreams of someday moving to the farm area. Even if it's just one acre. I'm thankful I have an opportunity to be able to do a lot of those things you mentioned in this video. I saw my seeds in my little backyard garden, I work on my car, I do landscape witch is my full time job and I take a walk through nature. I'm blessed to be able to take trail walks once a week in a place called Lodi Lake located 10 minutes away from where I stay. As for giving thanks for everything in my life I try and do that everyday.
I've really come to appreciate these talks, I came for the horsemanship and tutorials but I stayed for the chats. I sit and paint while listening to these videos and find it gives me a great deal to chew on as I work. Thank you.
Not even finished watching, but you hit a sharp point with me here. I got kicked out of my church in 2003ish by asking the pastor to explain to me how the Trinity can be Three when there is only One. He could not answer except that the church can not help me for I’m on a different path. Little did he know (or maybe he did) I was indeed on a more spiritual path. You sir, ~20 years later, have just made me whole by sharing this perspective. It’s like I had all the pieces to the puzzle but needed someone to help complete the border; like I did the puzzle backwards. I am son of David 💪 and David is in the name I am known by. May you be blessed for all your years. Liked and subbed, I’ll look through your other stuff tomorrow, going to sit on this for a bit. Thank you sir, from the heart.
The Sun is a good example often used to help us understand the Trinity. God-Father is the Sun, Jesus is the light coming from the Sun and the Holy Spirit is warmth. These three always exist together. Yet it's only one - the Sun. We can't be in direct contact with the Sun, as we will die. Same with God - the Bible says that no human being can be in direct presence of God and stay alive. But we can be in contact with light and warmth - Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Jesus calls Himself the Light, and the Holy Spirit is called the Conforter, so warmth represents Him well, too. It's warmth that we feel in our heart when it is touched by the Holy Spirit. I hope this analogy will help you to understand the Trinity better.
Thank you - this video was confirmation that I need to get back on track and set a solid plan to move out of California. I lived in rural Colorado from 2007-2011 and it was the best time of my life. I miss that country lifestyle. I was surrounded by amazing people, we were all friends. I have no friends here in CA. My family has pulled me in so many directions with a career and college I feel drained and depleted. I want to sit outside on a patio until midnight smoking cigars like you and your wife. I hope I can make back there in time before it’s too late. Thanks.
You know it already, but you are truly blessed Brother! I truly enjoy your videos. But food for thought my friend. My wife of 37 years has dementia, a horrible disease. Still, every night I try to remember to thank God for all the blessings he has given me, starting with the 30+ years I got to spend with her before this happened. Find a reason to thank him every day…and keep up the great work.
Well said. Born in 74. My wife of 29 years born in 76. You dont become a man or woman at 16 or 18 or 21. You must earn it. Everything you said is what it takes. Very few left who have the desire to do so. It seems its a lot easier to pretend to be someone or something else then to go out and earn a hood. Soft and squishy is not adequate enough to describe whats happening out there today. More like confused and unbalanced, unsure and lack of discipline. Great cigar and awesome chat. Cheers from the north.
@GoldenMars actually they both died in a car accident when I was young. What does parents in a nursing home have to do with being a man? I dont agree with that system. I believe family should stay together on the homestead. As will my kids. But thanks for caring enough to reply. You have a great day.
I ran across your videos while searching for info on cowboy hats. :) When one of your videos popped up, I listened to what you had to say and I subscribed immediately. I love how down-to-earth you are. Excellent content. Keep up the good work!
I absolutely love your channel. It settles me. I now start my day with your videos to center me even though i can't afford horses or go to wrangler school. Thank you for your material.
I've never heard it put that way . Well said. I need to find this in my life. I don't think I have ever had all three at the same time. It sounds peaceful.
Glad to hear that you are enjoy our wonderful Idaho. I used to herd cattle on the range near the lodge and know how beautiful that country up there is. Now live in close to your son.
This touched me deeply. I’ve had that mountain top experience!with my daughter, looking down the mountain watching the deer walk by,surrounded by rocks and tall trees. I know God was there because I could feel his touch in the wind. Thank you for the reminder❤️
Absolutely loving your videos buddy. I’m a little surprised they haven’t thrown you off the platform for speaking such truth. Please keep up the great work your inspiration.
Your channel just popped up this Evening. I couldn't agree more. Your msg. sank deep into my soul. I just want to thank you and God of course for bringing me this message tonight. It couldn't have come at a better time. God bless you and your family.
You’re a good man, Dewayne. I’m honored to now know you, and I’m looking forward to seeing you in October. Thanks for this. Glad you’re having such a great time with your family.
These are the exact feelings I feel whenever I go on solo hikes… just playing music, enjoying the environment, and letting my mind at ease. Thank you for this video
I am a man and i grow flowers and a garden. No shame in ny game haha. I am an internet amd gaming guy too. But i love being outside. i love taking walks and listening to the sounds of summer. The birds, the jar flies, the katydids are music to my ears. i always feel when I'm outside i am at my "church". Amen on your message sir, you are on point. 💛
What a truly profound and poetical narrative. And how difficult it is sometimes to achieve this ideal of a balanced and complete life. Thank you so much for this video. Very much appreciated.
Sir, my son Austin came across this video and just sent it to me. You've come across a definite road map to happiness in life. So much that you have said, reflects how I feel about much of my life. You pointed out about your sons. My son Austin means so very much to me and has joined my faith in God. Seeing the man he has become provides me so much fulfillment in my soul. I've spoke to him many times about the same things you have just talked a out. I am truly Blessed and my hat's off to you Sir for sharing this with the hope that others can take a breath and look at life in THIS way. I am now SUBSCRIBED to your channel. GodBless and Godspeed Sir.
Thank you. Well said. Totally understand. Ridden some of the same trails. Like you a museum, the Prado in Madrid stirred my soul. We could sit by the campfire, cigar, maybe share a story, yarn or two.
You sharing on this video meant more than you know .I sit with my Coffee in your Dry Creek Wrangler Mug in the early morning, talking to the Lord about you and DeAnna . I know you are two very grateful People. God moves my Heart to pray to keep you in His Blessings! HE is always thinking about you . You honored Him and I believe more people will be changed because of your sharing this message! Blesses me to hear you were overflowed with HIS Goodness 😇 Laura 💜 Bear
I am not whole. I am learning that it takes steps to become whole. Some of these steps involve hard sacrifices, and its tough some nights. Thank you so much for the wisdom. It gives me courage when i need it most.
I love camping in the outback. Growing up in Australia, the populated cities generally stick to the coasts, since a massive chunk of the continent is just big deserts. But if you find a nice spot, you can start a good campfire with your buddies and fall asleep under the sky full of stars. I haven’t seen that many stars in the sky since I was growing up in New Zealand
Hey Dewayne - just wanted to let you know this video has had a real impact on me. I'm 25 y/o guy who is feeling very lost in this world and your words have shined a great light on things I can do to find my place in it. I hope you continue to share your insights on life and any advice you might have for people like myself since I'm sure there are a helluva lot of people who would benefit from it. Godspeed cowboy
great perspective you have sir, very eye opening. as a young man in the Navy who has recently left home and is adjusting to life away from the family i definitely needed to hear this. the military can be a harsh environment and you can’t always find the time to nurture the trinity of your body but i will make more effort to do so. Thank you for this, take care of yourself and god bless you
