Blummin 'eck, Stuart, just tuned in, seem to have waited ages for your next vid, no wonder we haven't seen you. You poor man, thank goodness you're feeling better. Will have to catch up with this vid later as one of my great granddaughters has just arrived with one of my great, great grandchildren. I'm also trying to keep up with the snooker world championship, but can't wait to get back to you...yes, you really make my day. Please stay well Stuart and don't put yourself out for your subscribers, we we want you safe and wholesome and will wait until you are ready.
Hello Stuart. I've finally got back to watching your vid after six hours of anticipation, had to wait til kids, grandkids, great grandkids and great, great grandkids all went home. It was certainly worth the wait. Fab painting and I learn something new with every demo. Thank you Stuart, I will watch this again about midnight but right now I'm going to catch up on the World Snooker Championship taking place at the Crucible here in the UK. You stay well, you've been through enough trauma lately. Thank you for uploading such wonderful videos.
Thank you so much!!! I make a point of choosing a night when I can really watch you without distractions because it is so interesting. The videos that seem less edited are actually my favorites--they seem to be more you painting with us watching. I'm sorry to hear about your recent difficulties... but there are many people around the globe who are thinking of you and praying for you, so I hope you are aware of the positive effect you are having on so many people!
Hi Mr. Stuart Davies…. I am forever grateful ti you for your teaching “Illusion of Detail” video and all the ones you’ve done ~ I enjoy the results I have gotten. Sorry I never sent you the pics YEt😁 ~ Much Love and Good Health upon you. Sorry about all your struggles with pharma. Glad you’re better.
I'm so glad you're back, feeling better and sharing your gift with us all. This painting is another fine work of art added to your catalogue - stay safe, and be well Sir!
This is again such an inspiration. Thank you Stuart, I always enjoy your video's and your chats. Iwas worried, not seeing you for so long, and it turned out, with good reasons. But you bounced back as you do everytime something bad happens to you. Hope you stay free of troubles for decades to come.
I needed to hear your comment about the angle of your brush. Can’t wait to get back out into the studio and start working again. I was having trouble. Thank you
So glad you're feeling better. Ive recently went through a rough patch and its not a good time but spring is here and things are brighter all around..enjoyed this painting you haven't forgot a thing about painting!!!
Lovely painting as always. Glad you are back Stuart. I was worried....How about a few daisies or wildflowers to brighten up your meadows? 😊Take care. Allergies do get worse as you get older so be careful.
So happy to have you back, Stuart. You were sorely missed. My allergies, particularly to foods and additives, preservatives, etc., had gotten progressively worse the last few years. However. Having some success I think with antihistamine/mast cell stabilizer called Ketotifen prescribed by my allergist/immunologist. Here in the states you can only get the tablets from a compounding pharmacy which, unfortunately is not covered by my insurance. But so far it’s worth the money. Thanks for another lovely painting, and enlightening and entertaining instruction. ❤
The part where you made both sides of the hill recede into the distance with one or two strokes was amazing! You have probably taught that before but it never clicked for me until watching this video now.
That turned out very nice indeed. I really like how the clouds are coming toward the foreground, but then have that upsweep. I also really like how it appears as if some mist as gathered at the bottom of the larger hill. Thank you so much for posting this Professor!!
While listening to your description of your recent health experiences I’m reminded of the saying that “There’s no one left alive to take care of the dead and the dying.” Good to see you back on your feet and “re-educating” yourself on how to paint. Personality, I’m facing an impending hip replacement surgery just around the corner. Since I can only paint by standing I’ll be out of circulation for a bit too. Keep “trudging your way to Happy Destiny.” What other choice do we have?
Love the painting and time spent with your insights and humor. It's good to have you back. I hope that you are feeling better. Thank you for the inspiration.
So enjoy your paintings. Just my style. I also enjoy your style of video making. Very relaxing to watch and educational as well. Just wanted to say thank you for all the help and enjoyable hours you've shared with us. Take care.
First and foremost, I do so love your paintings. Also, I looked below (your tutorial), and picked up the Kindle edition of your "Book 1 of the Saxon Chronicles" I can't wait to read it! One of these days I will get round to dragging out my paints and start a painting (major procrastinator here)... There isn't one of your paintings that I haven't drooled over, love them ALL.
So sorry to hear what you’ve been going through. So glad to have you back. I noticed you weren’t making any new paintings recently and was concerned about how you were. You are important to me for various reasons and I’m so happy to hear your voice again. Take care. I look forward to every painting you make. Thanks for sharing so much with us. ❤
Drat, drat, drat, in a Terry Thomas way - I’m meant to be packing the car and driving off to Italy but that video has persuaded me to do a painting instead!!😊
Stuart, people don’t know what ASMR is. Yours is sooo good. Everyone, look up the definition on Google. Maybe you are not crazy about filming ASMR. But I loved it. Takes a while to break in. So many ASMRists.
Aaahh this is a nice one. Relaxing video nice painting. And it is so cool you can see sound. That is so interesting. Hope you feel better real soon and get well. I know painting does good for you :D Not just to make videos but just be in your own world and have fun painting away. Greetings,, Kitty.
Really very beautiful! I really enjoy watching the whole painting process and listening to your tutorials. All your videos are very interesting and worth re-watching again and again. Many thanks for sharing with us!
Stuart, I am so sorry you had to experience such an unpleasant & potentially deadly experience. You are in my thoughts and prayers. You are such a blessing to so many, please know (and I am certain of this) that we love you, appreciate you, and are wishing you all the best!! Welcome back, my dear friend!
Hey up,good to have u back dude your videos help so many people who can,t relax very well and struggle with other things like me,I really thank u for that take care....
I’m learning so much from watching your videos! I’m an acrylic artist so I have to do it a bit differently, but you have some techniques that are really helping. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise and humor!
Stuart. I am so glad your channel showed up in my RU-vid recommendations. I was really struggling to get started because I wanted my efforts to turn out perfectly. I learned from you that my paintings are never going to be perfect and that’s okay. I no longer fear getting started on a painting. Just throw some color and shapes on a surface and see what you can find in it. Surprisingly enough, that works for me. Add some texture and wipe back some areas and you will have a perfectly respectable piece of art. Thank you so much for sharing your considerable talents with us. Look forward to more of you videos. And yes, I watch them til the end. Have a great day!
You’re such a great teacher Stuart. So glad you are back at it again and feeling a bit better I hope. I’m trying to learn more and more from you. Your ability to create texture, depth and striking color is just brilliant. Oh yes. And Americans can also get worked up in a tizz just so you know! 😅
Hi Stewart . Have you tried grounding/Earthing I think it might really help you. There are some documentaries on this platform. The simplest thing to do would be to walk barefoot or have bare feet connected to ground for at least 40 minutes a day. I am convinced it will help you . Much love.
Paracetamol is acetaminophen in the states. An over the counter, mild, pain reliever. The only listed severe reaction is one of the skin. Reddening, rash, blisters... I wonder if there's any compound difference between manufacturers in different countries. Here? It's actually recommended that those with CHF take acetaminophen, and not ibuprofen, for pain relief.
Mr. Davies so sad about your reaction to the pain killer, Very encouraging when we have our health and sanity. Nevertheless, I discovered your channel and it is so nice --refreshing, and your voice is so mellow, calm, and reassuring. Thanks for sharing your method, and your thinking about painting. If I had the money I would go to France for 2 or 4 months and want to see and study your passion, plus take photos, which is my passion besides mountain climbing. So God bless. Sincerely yours, Winston.
I had many mild allergies and food intolerances. I started taking bile salts on prescription and could eat anything from that point. Presumably I had a sluggish gall bladder. Second thing that helped with allergies, particularly hay fever, was intermittent fasting. Tough to do but after a few weeks you feel incredible.😊
New subscriber here. That is a beautiful painting and it reminds me of late 18th or early 19th century rural landscapes. I don’t aspire to painting in oils, but I love landscapes and seascapes. Maybe I’ll try oils one day. Thank you for sharing your talent with us, and I hope you will be fully recovered soon. 😃👍
