Welp, I reached Ep 9 of Kill Me Love Me and I’m still enjoying it(maybe even more now). Im watching this along with She and Her Girls. Totally different genres but both are good to me in different ways. She and Her Girls need no further elaboration, it IS great as that type of story based on real-life character but sometimes, a drama doesn’t have to be serious or have a superb plot, etc. At the end of the day, it’s whether a drama entertained us as a viewer. And KMLM does for me. Liu Xueyi is eye candy and his chemistry with Wu Jinyan worked. Wu Jinyan is always good in revenge drama. After a tired day’s work, I just wanna relax my mind and watch an entertaining drama. I don’t always need to crack my brain and analyze or be critical of plots, loopholes, acting skills, all that. There are dramas that are engaging & brilliantly written. There are also dramas that are made to entertain. KMLM is the latter and it does it well.
Agreed, I'm enjoying it so much. I know quite a few people are disappointed that the ML didn't stay "crazy". But I really love him being soft and surprised by the FL. Plus, all those cute moments work perfect for sweet edits
@@CdramaJourneysSome ppl complained there’s not enough of his madness and some complained he’s too much. There’s no winning for him, poor thing 😅 I personally am happy the madness is adequate. Just in the beginning and as a facade but then revealed soon enough that he’s not that kinda person. It makes me like his character more. Unlike when I watched Love of Nirvana, I had trouble liking the ML’s character(not the actor) for being so toxic and cruel to an innocent girl again and again.
I love Kill Me Love Me! Liu Xueyi & Wu Jinyan are really good! I love their toxic chemistry! It also has one of the best kisses I have seen in Cdrama. I will be watching this one till the end!
@@cristina8868 If I like something I watch it. At the end of the day a drama's purpose is to entertain and I am entertained. I really enjoy the main lead's acting. So I am going to keep watching and Avenuex is free to rant as much as she likes 😂.
I have watched up to ep6 and I'm totally enjoying it. It's entertaining. FL performance is convicing and you can just oogle the handsome ML rest of the time.🤩
Yu Shuxin and Ding Yuxi were enjoyable to watch together in Moonlight, but I think that was partly because the story was somewhat unique in that it used a publishing house as the backdrop. There were still some common tropes in that drama but the story was interesting, because it dealt with how authors and editors work towards publishing books. However, the plot of new drama they're involved in sounds very similar to so many other dramas that have aired recently or will air soon, and I don't know if their chemistry together will be enough to set it apart from the host of other 'stuck in a game or book' dramas. I guess we'll have to wait and see....
@@ceciliacpe uh, actually if you try to say she dislike WJY, then try again, because the previous drama, she was hoping KMLM would be like the double n knock it out of the park, except it fails 🙄
Kill me love me is not so bad. If you are not giving me a full good production with stellar acting, script, plot, design etc. At least give me gorgeous sets, costumes and dreamy eye candy in steamy scenes so i can holler at my tv screen when the good looking ppl are rubbing up on each other.
@@khoirunnisa2801 we all know adaptations on screen NEVER do the original works justice!!! But u have to give viewers something to keep them wanting more and KMLM gives us at least the greasy half of what a well rounded c-drama should have: good settings, costumes, eye candy ML & FL and steamy scenes! Suffice to say wu jinyan are liu are not half bad actors! They are doing an ok job and seems like they had fun with the roles and have insane chemistry!! Its a shame that most of the steaminess we wanted didnt make it past censorship but alas... just look at the travesty that snowy night timeless love turned out to be!! And i waited all year for that only to drop it after 8 episodes because I just couldnt go on it is really bad!!
@@chercher304 I hoped for more from this actor as a ML in this drama, I actually enjoyed watching him in side roles in other series!! I can't believe how despicable his character seems in this one, totally not a madman you can sympathize with 🙄
@@cristina8868I’m curious which episode you stopped at because he’s not the kind of character you described after just the first few eps. He, like what Mei Lin kept saying, is a good man.
Everytime you criticize a drama the drama become a big hit. Everytime u praise a drama the drama flop. So yeah i trust the reverse affect of your review. 😂😂
Waiting on kill me love me...I started the double too early and I had to wait and suffer through mid translations. I hate waiting. Can't wait to see the review
when I watched zls love ambition trailer it immediately reminded me of queen of tears 😂 but yeah agree with u qot leads were so good and the chemistry was insane too. I love lusi gonna watch it tho
Please (beggingly) talk about the masterpiece that is "The On1y One", it truly deserves a review. The direction, set design and acting is gold level. Rating: 10/10. There will be a second season. There are post-credits scenes if anyone wants to see it.
You sure cover a lot of ground. I'm going to have to listen to this again to catch what's happening. I often disagree with you on historical dramas and here again because I totally love Kill Me Love Me, I guess for all the reasons you don't.
Has anyone else noticed how the music scores seem to be “off” in “The Rise of Ning?” The music doesn’t seem to fit in a lot of instances then, in other places, the music is too loud while the actors are speaking. I’ve also noticed how some of the “Love Between Fairy and Devil “ music seems to pop up some in a few productions of late.
I'm currently watching both Kill Me Love Me and A Beautiful Lie(which just aired yesterday) but now I have decided to drop Kill Me Love Me. It's not bad but somehow it's not doing anything to me I rlly love both of the leads maybe I will try to pick it up again. Now for A Beautiful Lie (mind you that I don't rlly watch modern drama) this drama had me hooked for some reasons both leads visual are on top and the chemistry between the leads are so good.
Just finished watching a contemporary youth 🥭cdrama "Bright Time". First youth cdrama ever and first contemporary cdrama in years for me. All because I wanted to see whether it was, like some claimed to be, as close to BL as regulatory environment allowed. (Comments say that female lead served as a device to get past censors as well as a best witness to the two male leads' relationship development.) My verdict is "Yeah, pretty much." None of the cast in the drama is "idol pretty" but most have certain features or angles that are easy on the eye. Just not a more complete package. Their acting was overall sufficient, better than many well-known celebs/idol actors whose acting qualifies as "lacking". Based on their looks, hard to see them cast as leads in any big budget idol dramas. If their performance improves quickly, maybe proper dramas but these are fewer in quantity and variety of genres while still being highly competitive in terms of casting. It's a conundrum.
You scold ZLS and her dramas as you breathing. I expected you saying Huayun Culture invested in Love's Ambition after the first teaser was released, but seems you underestimated their judgement/decision. And after you scolded all ZLS's dramas before airing, they all were loved by public, or at least they kept about 37-55 mil./ep in front of tv, which I cant say about a bunch of dramas you praised that I thought they will explode. I remember how you tried to ruin LLTG, HL, TLI. Madame, you are biased.
Anyone here who unable to catch up watching drama due to playing Black Myth Wu Kong? I just done 3 new game plus Wu Kong, finally Wu Kong can rest until the DLC.
I want to get a PS5 to play BMW as well as Ghost of Tsushima & a bunch of other things I’ve always wanted to try. I may get a SteamDeck instead but idk if BMW is playable on it.
@@changtomy2229 Yes. I am also in the process of buying a house, so it makes me nervous to spend big chunks of money on things I don’t need for survival. But at the same time, I would like to play BMW while there is still a lot of hype about it so I can enjoy it more.
Just finished watching “Kill Me Love Me” episodes 12 and 13. The story line seems to be picking up some. I did notice a couple of things a bit off pudding though. The intro music made me feel like I was tuning into a James Bond movie. That, along with the straight up piano music was quite distracting as it threw me out of the fantasy. Music sets the mood of the story. How could they make such a mistake? Who are they hiring to handle such important details such as this? Fire them.
Am I the only one who finds Kill Me Love Me boring? The visuals are great, but strangely I don't want to keep watching...Only the visuals captivate me, nothing else captivates me.
Waiting for avenuex KMLM review video. I watch it simply for the leads..i really like them together. But by ep 5 my doubt getting too big for the storyline..unless there'll be some jaw-dropping twist, i don't think the story worth it to follow..it's just simply tiring and boring and the set-up not in a slightest interesting.. anyway have great day everyone~
The drama is adapted from the novel and the production team certainly has "ADAPTED" it from the novel. I need to constantly remind myself, treating the drama as a brand new story, stopping to compare it with the novel. It added so much and changed so much to the drama, good or bad, the verdict is still out there. I'm on ep5 and here entering the 2nd FL, a decorated general, who has fought many battles alone or with the ML and is supposed to be arrogant, prideful, cold, aloof, and very beautiful and very important in the eyes of ML and his life, but the actress is nothing like that. I think that actress, Lu Yu Xiao, from "My Journey to You" is a better choice for the role. I also don't think the story flows well, very fragmented and jarring. People love the flashbacks and I think too much of it, disrupting the flow of the story telling. I read the novel in original language, not translation. The story in the novel flows very well and the writing is smooth to follow. If you're bored now, you'll feel even more so unless the scripts has a lot, a lot of changes from the novel but that's OK if it is done right! In the novel, a large portion of the story is on the ML and FL alone together and discover their own feelings. She found her own feelings but his feelings it's a question mark because he's a complex and calculated man. If the drama doesn't change from it, the viewers will bored to tears because they're alone together for a long period time. At this point ep5, the drama already added a second ML, not existing in the novel, changed the background of FL, changed the feelings of the ML toward the FL so early on and the magic and the uncertainty cp chemistry between those two are gone. The pull of the novel is the "unthinkable" requests from ML to FL and intentionally causing physical harm to FL showing the cruelty the ML has for the FL. If the ML loves the FL, he wouldn't have done those things to the FL. And also how the FL responses to all of these from the ML. From all these from both ML and FL, we read their mindset toward each other. And that's story telling! I hope in the drama the love feeling the ML for the FL so early on is a game played by the ML; otherwise, the drama really needs to be re-written entirely. I'll continue to watch the drama, just to satisfy my curiosity besides Liu Xue Yi is an eye-candy. Note: a long post and the grammatical and syntax errors are not edited
Didn't tencent have its annual conference few months back with the same set of dramas? Btw, the only trailer I liked is Lychee Road. Atleast it looked like the actors were enjoying the play. Hope it turns out good🤞
You know kill me love me is bad when on X, the fans are like wow, so good! Here’s a clip. N I watched it and it was flat… not even just flat, it was like cardboard. I honestly don’t see the chemistry, the tension, the story, or even the acting 🤦♀️ like it feels so disjointed that I feel like I’m not belonged in the cdrama verse anymore lol
kill me love me is indeed visually pleasing but everything else is meh. i didnt feel anything after watching first eps and eventually dropped it after eps 7. everything that happen in this drama doesnt make any sense and its not even entertaining, none of the characters including 2 main leads is interesting. i cant think what the drama is trying to tell the viewers. liu xueyi is so beautiful here though
Well I feel like a rant on Kill Me Love Me would be cool 'cause the whole thing looks like they took the pains to make it so good looking & the opening was actually so promising but... the characters are awful! I do think there's a story but it's definitely not well thought out. I can't understand what the director had been thinking before putting this on screen😞
