You’re so right about the current editions of the Scofield-lousy leather, lousy paper, lousy printing, the lot. OUP should hang their heads in shame. I hope one day Thomas Nelson (or anyone!) picks up the rights to it and gives it the treatment it deserves, à la Zondervan’s recent updates to the TCR.
Out of all the digital prints, the Thomas Nelson Comfort Print is the worst. King James Bibles should be printed via printing press, but if you were to choose a digital print, I’d go with TBS Windsor or Westminster, LCBP 215, Holman Giant print or UltraThin, or even Christian Art Gifts Bibles. The Comfort Print ruined the Thompson Chain.
