I recently started recollecting Pokemon cards, starting from the first set. Had a lot from childhood. The Gen 3 era stuff is far and away the most expensive. Actually insane how much money some of these cards are. But still super fun to do.
I've been thinkin about Greninja to complement Dragonite. It can use any energy and push you over certain breakpoints pretty consistent, on top of the extra energy from Misty.
Thats a 2 stage pokemon in addition to Dragonite's, not only it makes your deck less consistant but also it's not doing anything to help you stall/tank, not worth imo.
@@vecheeto21 I really disagree with the idea that you have to stall with Dragonite. I think more often then not it will just put you in tough spots because you have no sustain so if your first Dragonite goes down or if you get unlucky with the first draco meteor, you're just a sitting duck. By contrast, having a proactive early game that puts pressure on your opponent will help you win without Dragonite or make the first draco meteor more impactful or keep going after loosing a Dragonite. I'm not sure Greninja is the best, Starmie and Pigeot also look good for this, but I don't think being completely passive will cut it against meta decks.
I wanted to build something like this, but with Pinchurin as well along with Hypno. idk if a pokemon can both be asleep and paralyzed at the same time tho
Is it not 80%? If all 200 goes into 1 pokemon (2 different ways), or 150/50 (two different ways), and 100/100 is a fail (only one way). So 4/5 outcomes are winning.
@necrolord7327 that's not how the math works out. Some of those options are more likely than others which you can work out by making the comparison to that of coin flips. We are essentially flipping 4 times and hoping to not get 2 heads and 2 tails, since every other outcome wins. There are 2 to the power 4 outcomes which gives 16. 4 of which give 2 heads and 2 tails. HHTT HTHT TTHH and THTH. The other 12 will win. 12/16 simplifies to .75
@@8909mark I see, I wasn't too confident that just counting the number of outcomes was right as there is the possibility of duplicates. Thanks for the amazing explanation.
Why not just lapras instead? At least for one energy you can start doing damage instead of an energy less articuno if misty fails. And if you hit the misty on lapras, it’s going to be doing way more damage than articuno
