I think most reason they fail nowadays is because most already failed, but was the "best" thing around. Social Media has expanded what's out there, but it also expanded the illusion of "Better Options". No one ever is true in social media and try to portray an image, which is not real.

Recently there's been a drama in the spanish community where a youtuber that's only 16 y/o had 4 girlfriends and basically when he broke up with one of them he just searched another woman to sorta fill the now empty space in his heart, and he didn't care about how much damage he was doing to his girlfriends by cheating on them, he just cared about _him_ and only _him,_ and I feel like this is a perfect example of why selfishness has fcked relationships so much ✍🔥

A relationship is a two-way street. Both people have responsibilities. This is how it works for all relationships, including platonic and familial. The Bible says that in marriage, a man and a woman become one flesh, or one body. All parts of the body must work their individual roles for the good of the whole body. If not, they will destroy it. And yes, in the biblical model of a marriage, the husband is the head over the wife. But we must remember what the biblical model of headship is. It is self-sacrificial and serving.
I feel this. I need to work myself out and improve myself. I do want someone to love and someone to love me back. But I know I cant have any of that without solveing myself. I couldn't give a good reason to date me other then the girls ive seen consider me an "Easy boyfriend" I don't care for dates and stuff like that alot. Ive been going through alot and a breakup too so this vid came at the right time ig lol. There was issues with me and her but it came to selfishness in the end. She was leaving the country for a very long time and maybe permanently. And because of that and the fact that I consider myself as a bad partner, or atleast not good. I broke up over my own selfishness. I didn't want to be in a long distance relationship and I felt like my partner wasn't communicating enough. I know that breakingup was really selfish to me because I wasnt that happy. But I know it wasn't a two way street for sure. (Sorry for the long comment It was just a tiny vent session to me hehe)

Neither one of you were really selfish based on what you said🤔 just two different wants and needs. Where it truly becomes selfish is if you were to try to keep her from doing what she wanted solely based on your wants or vice versa. If you really think about it though🤔 this should actually make you less selfish which is also another good reason for other women to date you. The only big flaw I can see is YOU don't see that. Give yourself some credit guy
It's miscommunication. If people don't communicate it will never work. Even if both parties are selfish, if they properly communicate their wants and needs theres actually a good chance that can work out🤷🏽♀️
I do agree miscommunication can be a part of it. However, it doesn't matter if I communicate my wants and needs and you don't DO them. Hence why if they're selfish, it won't work out
@@jerryled I'm not saying it will make it better. Communication is only the first step. But think about WHY being selfish is so bad in the first place. It's because they don't consider their partners wants and needs. Not communicating IS being selfish. But let me tell you, if you're sitting there wondering when your partner is going to magically stop being annoying or stop being whatever you may as well give up then. People ARE NOT mind readers. If you do not tell them what is bothering you and WHY it will 100% not work out without fail, because many times they don't even realize their actions upset you to begin with. To give an example let me use my friend Chris. He's selfish, really selfish. But he communicates that openly with everyone around him. Right from the start his wife knew that because he talked about it with her. She decided she would give it a chance going forward and things worked out like that. It's a selfish person being able to have a successful relationship🤔 But I guess not being selfish enough to communicate also counts. So I'll meet you halfway with this💁🏾♀️ Not communicating IS selfish so don't be THAT selfish lol
Honestly when it comes to a healthy relationship, 3 things have to be strong, 1: Affection towards on each other, 2: Dedication to work and build the relationship, 3: Communication to learn and keep connected. I shorten it to call it ADC. While it is healthy to set standards it can easily become exploitable by social media in the form of Pro Masculinity and Feminism, it fogs and kind of blends the lines of those 3 points I mentioned. I personally stopped watching that kind of content which really helped me realize how sexism as a whole became apart of social media, and sexism is like a nuke to relationships, I even remember when I use to have those beliefs like when i was pre-teen, but with effort and people watching and really just changing the kind of content I was watching I changed as a person. Relationships are meant to be the meaning for bond of TWO people and both people need to demonstrate ADC. Without even 1 of the 3 principles relationship kind of starts crumbing. examples if that didn't make sense: Without Dedication to building the relationship, Why Communicate, Without Affection towards the partner, Why Dedicate yourself with her Without Communication Affection starts to die down Anyways those are my thoughts on it open to conversating people about it,
Edit: Without Communication getting affection is a lot harder and learning how to love your partner becomes harder ( I just learned how to edit comments on YT)
