A BIG REVEAL! How the best FISHING RODS are made! Gale Force Twins
In just a short few days we had the pleasure of experiencing the beautiful Northwest! We were catching salmon on the river, pulling Dungeness crab traps, FISHING for Dungeness crabs and enjoying the delicious seafood with the wonderful people at Batson Enterprises! One of our last MUST DO's while visiting Washington State was to stop by the Team Rainshadow facility. Talk about a fisherman's DREAM!

@@ymsoto3335 I cant agree more. There are so many fishing shows online that I do not watch because they have gotten to big and forgot what made them popular or the way they act. Even some of the female fishing shows the woman act so stupid or dress like they are working a street corner. Hard to beleive a man would make that last comment but hey I am who I am, The girls here on the other hand act like a class act. My daughter passed away 2 years ago and my wife is told she has less then a year so I guess I like at these girls as my girls and want them to stay a class act.

My wife and I have watched a lot of your videos. They are always informative and entertaining, and you can tell how much you love what you do. It doesn't matter if you are fishing under a bridge in the Keys, out on Pulley Ridge, or at a local pond. This video is one of your best because it explains a different aspect of fishing, how a fishing rod is made and how it can be customized for an individual. Thanks for yet another amazing video and congratulations on your latest venture!

I built about 5 fly rods of rainshadow blanks. Anglers workshop was nice enough to let me sift through all the blanks to find perfectly matched blanks. I sold three of the rods but kept two of them. They cast just as good as any mid prices orvis rod. Very happy with Batson blanks. Wish I could get the opportunity to get more matched blanks.

I’m betting the blanks are made in China. Many US rod sellers finish their China sourced blanks in the US (like Baskin)- much like the twin’s project.

When salmon fishing LakeMichigan a big fish will run a couple hundred feet of line out. We call that a “Screamer.” When we’re catching a lot we are “slammin “ them. Good possible names...screamer or slammer

How exciting for you to add the rods to your line of products!🥂 Wish you would have covered for those who do not know, how the rods are built on their “spine”. That and the difference between the spine on a spinning compared to a casting or trolling rod. Also what happens if you build a rod off “spine”.

Keeping it on point (ie The Gale Force brand) the “Do it All Rod”= “Hurricane Rod” More specialized rods, say a heavy stick for Tuna fishing could be the Cat 5; something else The Cyclone, or the Twister etc etc.

You could play off of the Gale Force with wind names - Brisote, Chinook (I know, mountain wind, but at least it's a WARM mountain wind!), Mistral, Nor-easter, Sundowner ... there's a long list out there. I was really interested - and then mildly disappointed (oh well) at the six months. I'm looking to replace one or two of my spinning rods this winter - I would have loved to try yours.

Awesome, grats on creating your own line of rods. I hope you'll have surf and inshore rods too. When I think of catching fish, I tend to think of predatory fish eating bait, and the most satiated predators are opportunistic predators, so a rod used to catch all fish would be the "opportunist" or for puns sake "opporTUNAst".
