Black people are the main ones who say this to every black girl or guy who talks proper. I hear it all the time from my own family and random black customers I talk to sometimes. "You talk white" "Stop talking white" "Why do you sound so white?" I'm 100% black but I have naturally long and fine hair and I have light brown eyes, ever since I was in elementary school I was always picked on for my features and how I talk, by people of my own race. They'd ask if I was mixed and I say no I'm black then they'd pick on me and call me a wanna be or that my hair is suppose to be short and nappy and I'm not supposed to talk like this or that. I get more compliments from other races than I do my own. It's sad, black people do this the most to each other. That needs to stop more than anything
just to let u know not all black girls hair is nappy I am black and my hair is soft and curly and I know other black girls with the same hairtype as me and the r black it all depends on were ur from and ur hairtype cab change other time sorry I just get annoyed when people ask me why don't you wear weeve isn't ur hair difficult to handle black girls have different hairtypes just like white people don't all have the same hairtype
as a dark skin black girl who was/is super into books & alternative music I got it from everyone in school. some non-black ppl acted like I was some exception to the rule of blackness, like I deserved a pat on the back for being more "white". when it came from some black people it was always a "you act/talk white" and I'd question what they categorized as "white" and they'd make themselves look foolish in the end. For you it was mostly black ppl for the poet it was mostly w white/nonblack ppl. your experience is not the golden rule of how people act so you can't come thru like "actually its like this..." and try to hush her perspective or anyone elses perspective. Your frustrations are valid though, it's a special type of annoyance and hurt that comes from black people doing it to you, for me it was mainly bc I hate seeing black ppl get held up in white supremace ideology, bc it holds them back from their potential.
There was this one guy in my class and he had the nerve to ask me "Why don't you talk the way you're suppose to?" (he meant why I don't use words like ain't) I looked at him. Looked him in the eye and said "Why don't you keep your grades up like you're suppose to... Because the last time I checked YOU had the mind of a 1st grader" and he never talked to me after that.
Alexandra Perriere Ironically, “Ain’t” was used by the higher classes until they realized lower classes used it. It wasn’t officially taken out of the English language until the mid *Eighteen Hundreds.*
Everytime I hear someone tell me “you talk white” the first thing that comes to mind is this amazing video. Because I was raised and taught to speak and carry myself in a certain manner how does that automatically make me white?? I just feel as though people of color should take every advantage of educational opportunities, knowing that our ancestors fought for what we take for granted everyday.
Chris Wedemann Don’t tell us what or what not to refer to ourselves as , thanks. Telling someone that they “talk white” also serves to divide the country, and so do many other terms, so what’s your point?
I don't think they mean you act white but usually they make fun of white people for talking to proper in a way. but since black people use slang an crap. it's different then what people label blacks.
If you are not black thing you do not understand what it means to be black in America we are not all one and we are now treated as one or two white woman I can understand how you may feel that all people are equal but that's not how colored people sale or at lease not the ones with common sense and I'm not being racist when I say this but this video is not for you.
"Talking white" has NOTHING to do with being "well-spoken" or educated or using "proper English." God, I hate when people believe that. Talking white is about mimicking the accents and nuances that white people in America generally use. Talking white is using the tired Valley Girl lisp. Talking white is speaking in a higher, nasal tone of uptight white people. People who think that "talking white" is about being "well-spoken" or "educated" give white people too much credit, because the average white person does not sound "well-spoken" or "educated." MOST people do not use Standard American English. Most white people speak in broken English. Anyone who knows the rules of Standard American English can easily observe this. BTW, the black girl in this video does not "talk white."
Maximus Desimus Race has everything to do with how you speak. I'm not talking about grammar. I'm talking about accents and cadences, lilts and inflections. You should read this book called Spoken Soul: The Story of Black English by John & Russell Rickford. It'll give you a more in depth answer than I can at the moment. I don't have the time to condense everything, but language has always been colored by race. Ignorant people just don't know or don't want to accept it. However, I find it ironic that you reject the idea of "talking white" yet you accept her being a "typical black girl."
***** "Black" in terms of this discussion means "African-American" or "Black American" or "Afro-American"... whichever you prefer. Blacks overseas don't count.
My point went right over your head. And no race doesn't have anything to do with speech go to the UK go to Germany go to any other nation with black populations and i can tell you listing to them you would not be able to know whether the person was white or black speaking if they were born and raised in that country by parents who were born and raised in that country
Jesus christ how does she memorise that whole thing and say it so fast it's crazy, she's better than most rappers and her words actually mean something!
That should be "you're". She's not reading it from a screen, she's looking at different parts of the audience. It's not that hard to memorise four minutes worth of ttext you wrote yourself.
She doesnt sound white....she sounds educated in history and honesty. Very beautiful and very intelligent is a high quality in a human being. Man or woman.....white or black and everyone in between...never forget ur history.
frank rodriguez what's sad is that I have received criticism as she has, for talking White, so to speak. And I received this from black people...my people. It's a shame that we can't even lift ourselves up, but put ourselves down.
as a white person I can clearly say, nothing she talks can make her less black. but it is joyful to listen to her. it all depends on creating a relationship in society, work, culture, neighborhood. and beneath that, it depends on mutual acceptance of blackness and whiteness, now when these terms and notions have been constructed already through history. we may have some conflicts, but we'll have to accept each other. should be understood as the principle of modern humanity. global issues are difficult enough. hell can break loose anytime for anyone.
neovxr what do you mean by your first statement.. she didn't say she wants to be less black and being white doesn't give an edge. I'm not sure what you meant there. I still have no idea why race matters in things.
She can be whatever she wants. If her being proud bothers you than that is your issue. Nobody has to be anything for anyone else, how she talks has nothing to do with you and your feelings. When you grow up you will then understand that what others think does not matter, because nobody is truly thinking of you anyway.
😍😍😍 Having been called a “white girl” all of my life because I spoke “right”... Just about every other word, I felt as if she was expressing how I’ve felt for years... Thank you! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
+olexia07 She is, is she? And why is that? See your whole ''argument'' is bullshit. Where is the fucking inequality? You live in a country with a black president. You live in country where whites are actively discriminated against, through affirmative action. So please spare us the fucking plantation narrative.
geddon81 She will if the HR interviewer or the hiring manager feels threatened by her. It’s a double edged sword. People don’t like to hire their future replacement or boss.
geddon81 She will if the HR interviewer or the hiring manager feels threatened by her. Her attributes can be a double edged sword. Also, people don’t like to hire their future replacement or boss.
Natasha Kizzy It takes a little practice. Try recording yourself. Listen to the recording, and try enunciating differently than before. Rinse, wash, repeat. Until it sounds the way you like it.
Natasha Kizzy Why couldn't you, if you can read, write, text, listen to others speak properly p, then you can to.. Good lord..I wish I had a good job, well then get off your butt and keeping applying every hour, every day until you get one. My goodness, that's silly to act so ignorant, or is there a real medical reason you can't speak? If you can speak at all, you can speak well with effort & practice unless your lazy.
Kaylin Alexis That's not negative at all... If there is not a medical reason, then with practice and listening, she can..its equal to some wish they had a job or certain job, you need to not stop until you get it..That's my motto, from the time I was of single digit age.. That's not negative, to stress to others as I have for myself and my children, Not to be lazy, to do what is necessary to achieve your goals, you can be self taught on many things if you can't go out and learn it. Don't wish, or want, get off you butt and get busy to get it. its not being lazy, its studying & listening. Please don't instruct my advice, or feel you need to decide that other then having a hand out, working hard is negative. Please I feel I'm correct. no more then I would correct your advise to someone that doesn't know how to achieve something. Please I'm requesting you stay in your lane, and feel free to offer positive suggestions too. However, not to me.
My grandbaby speaks proper grammar as well some say she speaks just like a white girl but it's very cute insulation to us for people to say that because so many white people where we're from don't speak correct grammar
She's very beautiful. I agree a lot of people ask me why I "talk white" like I didn't know you could talk a color. What because I speak properly and use correct grammar I'm white?? They say I act white so annoying such a stereotype.
I hear WAY more black people say that than white, calling each other Oreos and coconuts for acting or talking "white". White people will say that you're "well spoken". Let's be honest, most of the black community doesn't articulate English the way it's supposed to be. I don't know why people get so offended by this, it's blatantly obvious.
I'm Latina and am always told that I speak "White". They don't understand how offensive it is. Just because one speaks with proper grammar and etiquette does not mean they speak or are trying to be White. I'm a proud Latina and wouldn't want to be anything else.
Dana B. Story of my life. I was in an uber once and the driver told me that he's not surprised that we're headed to Orange County since I speak "like a white girl." He thought I was from one of the richer parts like "laguna beach or something." Not exactly.
Mayra Guerrero. Everyone thinks I'm White because I'm pale and my name isn't Latina. And when I open my mouth, my race is confirmed for them. But when I tell them I'm Latina they doubt that I speak Spanish because they think I'm trying to be White. It's insulting. Latinos can be educated too.
Mexicans are considered predominately part of the white race. Many do not want to be associated as indigenous (Mongoloid), or European (Caucasian), Even though that is mostly what makes up being Mexican. They tried to invent the term Mestizo for this but it never caught on. That being said, "Talking white" is a pretty ignorant term to use, since this America and one's dialect and diction merely is a product of where one is from and if they respect themselves enough to speak as though they paid attention in school. So in all technicality, The Mexican "race" would be a mix of the Caucasian and Mongoloid races. Talk how you want to. Don't let people tell you how you talk.
I’m white but I come from a northern part of England where the accents aren’t as well spoken as people think English people do. You can’t talk a colour, it depends where you are brought up and how everyone talks around you
Princess Elle’s World You can't act a color everyone is different minus the race people are just stupid and can debate over the dumbest things or anything they can start an argument About... Society is officially ruined lol!
I don't know about that. I am black, but I dress that way I want; although some people accuse me of not dressing according to some 'black rule" along with "talking white." Sorry. I don't wear a uniform.
B Goode I feel good when I hear a black person speak good American English. It does NOT need to be college level English, but good enough to not distract the listener.
It’s not like this in Canada. We still have a lot of work to do here. It starts with our education system. Amazing woman. Skin colour irrelevant. Her spirit is awake!
Her “level of education”. Why do we think that it takes someone with a Masters or a PhD to sound this way. As soon as I learned how to speak my parents taught me how to speak correctly. My education broadened my vocabulary, but it was my mother who received the first compliment for teaching me how to speak proper.
Shes so beautiful and inspirational!😍 I hope in the future no one will be judged because there skin! This world will get better. everybody will be equal, and not judged by there appearance, but what sort of person they are. No matter what you look like, always be yourself. Don't let anyone stop you❤

close your eyes then judge people if you must judge at all.
I got picked on and bullied in school for "speaking White". Now I take it as a compliment. That's another way of saying I speak Standard American English.
dont shut anyone up, fascists do that. you want ignorance then you're decision, carry on making a fool out of yourself. otherwise you should shut the fuck up because you're doing a disservice to humanity, seeing as evolution is bs, there is one Race of humans. Reason or get ready to get smashed by reason. dont be a facist pig.
This is why they removed his show from the air. "Too" strong, too real, too deep. Keep doin you Arsenio. And to the queen poetess...I salute you, my sister. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👌👍👆✊✊✊✊👏👏👏👏👏👑👑👑
+Donovan Thompson exactly. I can't imagine that angry, entitled, racism from black people sells well outside the black community. You might get a few white liberals with guilty consciences but no one really wants to hear rich black people complain about how "oppressed" they are in 2016.
+John Doe You clearly haven't read a history book. slavery in Africa doesn't and never will equate to the shit white people put them through and still go through. Is this what they teach you in America?
What has society come to, I'm a black young woman and people ask me why I talk white, why I act white. The question I always asked myself is what is white and black. It's a different shade of color on a person, it's not a stereo type. Why do people think that black women should act tough, bobbing there heads all the time, and ratchet. And white women are suppose to be all preppy, blonde, stupid, instagram famous, and STARBUCKS. No it's not like that. I've been made fun of because I act "white". They call me an Oreo, and tell me to act more like my race. But I don't care because I act the way I am and it's not white or black it's how I am because those two races should not have those kind of stereo types, yet any other race for that matter because it's just not whites and blacks.
+Raven Parks Holy crap! Are you kidding me. People tell you to talk more like your race? Good golly, are they crazy? That is so f***ing rude. It's like, what is talking your race. People can be so disgusting. I like that you just walk over such nonsense and continue to be yourself :)
When white ppl say something like your talking or acting white it's because most black ppl that we meet in high school and middle school speak with slang or Ebonics and slur there words and just all.around talk and act ghetto it's not a thing of disrespect that's just the way it is the majority of black girls and dudes I've meet talk like that in florida so when white ppl hear a black chick talk properly it's so unfamiliar to us that we say ur talking white it's not our fault that the majority of black ppl are ghetto it is what it is not trying to offend everybody but I can see how ya would be but w/e that's a white person perspective.
49jubilee The Black Panthers were promoting that, as I can remember. I though it was a good idea that they were reclaiming their power over their lives. But it turns out that it wasn't what the movement was about.
49jubilee I think you are right. As I can remember, I was very young at the time. Seems like now days, no one wants to be educated. I wish I could go back to school.
People tell you that you speak white, or do they tell you that you speak well? Who tells you this? I can honestly say that I have never witnessed a white person outside of television tell a black person they speak 'white'. I HAVE, however, seen black folks tell accuse other black folks of talking 'white', as though speaking eloquently makes them less 'black'.
I do not think this girl speaks like a white person I think she speakes with correct grammar the way an educated lady would speak To me she is very smart educated well plus She can hold her own. And i would not call her a girl I think lady is more correct way of saying it I am white male have met lots of black ladys yes there is the thug talk whites have it to but what seperates her and other people is the education we all need in our speaking thank you
There was only one person stereotyping here. It was her. What a totally disgusting display of self limitation bolstered by fantasy. People can't see the obvious here. This is why America is screwed.
quitwastinmytime this is something that spot of people even myself have experienced it and you can't speak on it if you haven't experienced it. it's a very annoying thing to be told 24/7 that doesn't even make sense.
same it always happens to me like my sister always be like stop acting and I'm like I'm not acting white this is exactly how I talk and act and this is how im gonna be
passion angel she’s drop dead gorgeous! And not because she looks like my daughter!! She’s so well spoken and I love listening to her soothing style of emoting
she is not the average black girl. thats pure irony. Educational system and the whole world works a lot to make average black girls ten thousand times below her in all ways. specially music and media.
I'm white, for me this girl is right...People will always hate no matter skin color, sexual orientation,nationality...we must keep remind each other not to hate and make a difference...In my country people are so judgemental they didn't exept black people, homosexuality, not even others nationality....so this is good messages and it should spread all around the world...We are all equal, respect each other, love each other...peace...
the word ''hate'' was not stated, but implied and expressed in the vehemence of the delivery and in the final statement....in fact, all over the content. I am not sure it was a positive message. I do get the message, but it needs some finessing (not sure if that's a word, but there it is)......more subtlety....oh, and clarity
I didn't get her message like that at all....In my humble opinion she is tired of assuming that if you are black you can't speak propely and generalizing things like that....I don't see hate message or anything...She didn't insult anyone only state what bothers her, that is insulting to her,to them...to people who are supposed to be equal in this world. And I can understand that...Question is can you...?
How do you talk white? Its not like I'm talking blue or purple. Now, i see some people think im acting retarded, yes I actually know what people mean when they say "talk white" its just stupid how people refer to talking using a *color*
I know something of what she says because I am black yet sound white. Especially on the telephone. More than once I've listened to people, thinking they are speaking with a white fellow, casually trashing blacks.
Dont u mean what made her a racist?, sorry I had to read ur comment twice because it seemed incorrect , lol but also I could be very much wrong and it is the autocorrect
Y’all kill me with the but “oh every race has their stereotypes” when it comes to the black race talking about theirs. She never once said no other race have their problems but she is black and can only speak for her problems as a black woman. Like damn let her have her moment
The fact that they're okay with races having their stereotypes makes their stereotype a racist paradigm which is their own. The more they talk the more they prove our points and how stupid they are. Just call them a dumb bitch and call it a day.
The way I see it, she's educated and based on your dialogue, you're uneducated. You use the word 'stereotypes' and I use the word 'statistics'. I don't hear her screaming injustice. She's using the opportunities given to all of us. Quit wallowing in self pity and make something of yourself.
Being African, I see it all the time on the Internet - "talking black" or "talking white." And then I listen to the people around me - my friends. My family. My neighbours. And then I don't hear any Amercan slang or any sort of American accent. All I hear is perfect English in a deep Ghanaian accent. what are we talking? African? Ghanaian? Black? White?
+Nanaesly Neon Come to London and hear most people of Caribbean ( particularly Jamaican ) speak. Very few can enunciate their words or " wax loquacious ". Most are not in the least articulate or cogent so no wonder one builds up a stereotypical image. That does NOT mean EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF A RACE has the same traits or idiosyncrasies...
+Isleofskye I think it all boils down to education. When a person is well educated they speak with a command of the language as well as an expanded vocabulary and know how to use it. Have a discussion with an uneducated person and you'll be aware of the fact in a matter of seconds!
I’m Latina but I can still relate to this so much. I grew up in a majority Latino community, and all of my friends have always said I sound “white.” My mother has pushed me to do the best possible in my academia, but just because I do well with my speech doesn’t mean I’m white. I still love my culture and embrace every part of it. In high school I went to a school across town because my mother wanted me to have access to the best possible education. I was in cheerleading, choir, and I just really loved being involved in so many school activities. My friends whom I grew up with would taunt me by calling me “white” because in the area I lived in, many kids didn’t get involved in school, and in their eyes this was seen as something only “white” people do. Now that I’m in college, I’ve met so many people of different backgrounds who are some of the most educated people, and many of them aren’t white. White people can be educated, but so can people of other backgrounds. It’s just difficult sometimes trying to break stereotypes amongst everyone.
I'm an old fat white guy and enjoyed that speech to tears. Wow. We've all come a long way from when I was a kid and we have far more to go. I Love her heart.
America has a real race issue. The fact she has to do a poem like this. I mean it's 2016 people, America is stuck in the 90s in many ways. I've never been to America and I'd love to for music and entertainment. but life seems too cray there. chill out
we do and we dont, the problem here is the sheep that believe everything they readand the damn fucking media they love that divide and conquer shit, they love police shootings or minorities killing someone other than their own race.
If you stir up racial issues and devide the masses you lower their innitiative to revolt and protest against their government. It is basic mass manipulation tactics like they were used by Churchill, Roosevelt and Hitler. Actually Hitler copied it from Churchill he admired the subtleness of Churchill to manipulate the masses. As long as blacks protest against whites and police. As long as feminists protest against sexism and men. As long as democrats fight against republicans and vice versa. As long as the people fight eachother they will not be able to unite for a revolution against their incompetent, corrupt and warhungry leaders.
+nicholas gibson you are a dumb ass the English language is the only dialect that was created from stealing meanings of words from other dialects so there is no such thing as correct English or proper grammar because all of this s*** is made up
+wilson hill And negative and mean words are a reflection of your personal hate.Dont hate what you dont understand. And P.S a loser is someone who talks s*** behind a screen but knows damn hes wrong.
I'm Hispanic and I had to educate my family. I taught them that speaking proper English is a sign of a good education and NOT tied to ethnicity. You don't have be rich or white to be educated and clean.
+B Goode Preach!!!! That's what wrong with this American culture, the thing if you have a hmble source of employment (like housekeeper, mechanic, etc) you cannot be educated and you must smell like trash and don't keep your home clean!!! That's happened to me all the time, American men think that I'm special, like some say "You are in another level", just because O smell good (daily showers), I don't use the same clothes 2 days in a row and I iron my clothes. Also keep my hair well coiffed and I use makeup to work. For Hispanic people this is basic personal hygiene.
+Fred Fisher Because, it's much easier to blame someone else for your problems than take responsibility for your own life and make something out of it.
+Fred Fisher Makes sense... Actually, I live in Japan. I have no idea what she's talking about. She's just a person, a human being. To me she's not any label word. To me she's: 1. pretty, 2. smart, 3. interesting, 4. athletic looking, 5. fun, 6. has nice smile, 7. has a beautiful complexion, 8. looks nice If I met her, I'd think about those things, because those things could make me happy if we talked together. How could a label add to my life? The way of thinking of the US sometimes is so strange. I'd rather just be a human and try to make friends and have a fun time with everyone. Life's too short.
+No Libbies you hide behind a computer and your negative closed minded brain with a sad out look on life im so sorry for you i pray for people like you
you don't think there's something strange with multiple people telling you you sound like a certain race. Why is talking like white person considering being smart and intelligent. Its not just black people, if any person of color speaks with a certain sophistication a lot of people would say they sound white. Ever heard someone say why are trying you act black. As if all black people act the same. White people come from multiple different places around the world. So do Asians and Latins and Black people. So instead of putting up with the stereotype she chose to regect it and say something about it because yes, it bothers her as well as other people. There is no acting like another race.
Not really, it's about conforming to stereotypes. For example, if a black man were to speak in a sophisticated manner and not use slang or ebonics, as the stereotype suggests, others, not all but some and including other black people would say things like: 'Are you white', 'you sound like a white man' or something else along the lines of not being black. That happens in the real world, so maybe it is you who needs to experience it. It's about being who you want to be and not being tied down by a stereotype telling you this is who you should be. It really has very little to do with being a victim.
Many people missed that like button, she's inspiring and she made my day with those words. I was always told I act white or speak white but I let it pass. I thought of it as a compliment but her words made me think of how our ancestors fought for their rights and I'm proud to be black, I'm proud to live another day and make my ancestors proud and most of all, show I'm not just another person in this world or a number. I'm a person who'll make a difference in my life❤. What are you going to do with your life, where will you start and how will you make a difference?😌🗻💟.
It's the 'class system' that's the problem, if you try to better yourself you are accused of not sticking to your roots or thinking you are better than your peers, often it's the people you grew up with that are your harshest critics. Celebrities like the Kardashians who think it's 'cool' to look, talk or act black, that hold up a colour pallet and think if you match the right shade it's alright to use the N word or talk about being gangster, it's these people that are glamorising ghetto without ever having to live in the realities of it. Being in the 'lower classes' or being poor is not a badge of honour. It's a hard way to live, wanting to get out of that life does not mean you want to be or act white, wanting to better yourself does not mean you want to change who you are. You are not defined by your circumstances.
So that means the millions of poor who don't survive have failed? Being poor is not an honour, you can be poor and have honourable qualities such as kindness or generosity but being poor itself is no reason to be held in esteem, but don't let that make anyone think It's a reason to be dishonoured or be shown a lack of esteem either. It is what it is, you have no choice over where you are born or who your family is and that's the same if you are born affluent or in a slum, it is what you do with what you are given, what you make of yourself that earns your that right.
I’m not even a girl and have always been told that I talk white since I was teenager. I thought it was wrong or that a statement meant that I was being fake, and because many actually accused me of being an Uncle Tom. I was embarrassed about that drive in me but I was taught and raised that to be understood, you must enunciate. This way if they don’t like you they at least understood your vernacular.
Speaking proper English vs. being called an Uncle Tom are two totally different things. I think you have some deeper issues to work through on another channel. Malcolm X spoke proper English, but he wasn't an Uncle Tom. You are usually called an Uncle Tome because of your views, not your speech. Minister Farrakhan speaks proper English, but I've never heard anyone call him an Uncle Tom.
I'm black and get that as well, however I found a clever way to deal with those who make comments like that. I'll respond with, "oh I don't sound like a black man? What does a black man sound like? Oh you mean like Will Smith, and Morgan Freeman right. Or you mean like Malcome X or Colin Powell then. Or maybe like Barrack Obama who was said to be the most well spoken man in America. Or maybe you mean like all the black nasa astronauts. And then I make a serious face and say, or maybe like Martin Luther king Jr. You know, the African American who had a dream for his people and this country. At this point they are always embarrassed. Some turn and walk away quickly, some apologize. I tell them I am a product of Mr Kings dreams, and they shouldn't make statements like that. And that I sound american, period. And Ebonics is not a language, not even a 2nd language. It's garbage street slang for the uneducated. And i walk away.
I.....i shed a tear....THIS IS SOOO GOOD! I cant believe people except a certain personality all becuase the color of their skin when u can get a totally different expectation. But when someone says " you dont act like a black girl, you act like a white girl".....THEY NEED SO E KIND OF COMMON SENSE! Like my teacher says " I wish i can just give you pill that has all the information in the world!". And thats the same thing i want to do to then people that talk about people all becuase the color of their skin.
I cried! Omg! So powerful! ...my gawd... YAAASSS TO ALLLLLL THE BLACK QUEENS OUT THERE! (which is all of u gifted with melanin, no matter what shade!)✨👑✨💗✊🏿💗✨💋
i have a white girl as my best friend. she doesn't speak properly worth shit. she sounds like a white person. if you were to speak on the phone with her you would know she was white 😑😑
What people don't want to see here in the U.S.A is that black Americans chosen to have a black vernacular...the word sounds educated, but the speech does not. Blacks anywhere else speak the same as their country men. This is why Americans have so many problems on this subject. The separate but equal idea doesn't work either way.
This is such a good message. I'm a white male and some of my relatives are racist, then there's my step mom who claims to not be racist but...well she lied. I used to be racist a lot but now it's narrowed down because my relatives were my role models when I was too young to understand music and movies. This is just perfect.
