@58:16 - Respectfully, Scott Galloway's whole thesis revolves around the young vanilla male experience. This is the same man who pulled his sons out of American Education and enrolled them in a London Boarding school. His loyalties are to his CLASS, or as Kendrick Lamar so elegantly said that he's: NOT LIKE US.
As a side note, Scott Galloway has done several podcasts on the economic and political impact of Taylor Swift and wouldn't know where to start on quantifying the cultural, social, financial, and political impact that Kendrick Lamar has MADE. - Scott Galloway speaks about what he understands; Vanilla Elitism And Classism.
I ONLY listen to Galloway (aka "Prof G") because he gets to be around the top Tech Giants and Industry Leaders of the day and for his insight on business dealings and how they'll effect the Stock Market. His takes on relationships are a joke to me honestly. He went to UCLA and got in with a 2.5; UCLA recruited me as a Football Player with a 2.7 and they knew I was taking advanced Math and Sciences (that might've actually turned Coach Donahue off). Either way, he went on to Berkeley and I went a different route. He describes himself as unremarkable but doesn't realize he gets "White Points"
@@MTXSHO9732vV8SHO Best take I've heard. He's got some interesting things to say on sort of elder generational wealth hoarding or wealth guarding against the youth. Some of it valid, some of it rhetoric. His gender struggle take is a waste of time, he's a gynocentric elitist through and through.
@@MTXSHO9732vV8SHO What do you do now? How do you stay competitive against the white guys with so many resources. I appreicate any help. How do you orient yourself to stay ahead?
Im a single black man i get hate and attitude cuz i refuse to deal with nonsense from wahman and focus on myself my cousin is a pookie he be mad cuz i dont deal with women and says im thinking about it to hard im like u aint thinking enough he has two baby mama's im single and childless😂
1:15:19 40's and 50's our parents become dependent on us?! I *WISH* Dr T, I'm half Nigerian half Trinidadian, I'm 35, my mom passed away last year and my dad has been a dependent since I was 26. Even when my mom was around, there was still a lot of legwork my sister and I had to deal with. Now my in-laws are dealing with health issues, I haven't even *made* it to 40 with kids, before dealing with dependents in the form of my parents.😮💨
@@DrTHasanJohnson yes, my sister who is 8 years older than myself, was far more prepared to handle their health issues resource wise. I, myself, wasn't and have less access to resources generational resources from our parents.
@01:39:38 - The "bans" on social-media are largely platitudes. The young ones need Reading and Writing Comprehension. There is a good quote from Chris Hedges about his education, that he says he didn't have a deep comprehension of writing until finishing his Theology at Harvard University.
1:08:15 @Dr. Johnson while a decline from 27% to 6% is a decline of 21 _percentage points_ it is actually a 77.7% not a 21% drop. Similarly the college debt as a percentage of first-year income ratio increased by 71% from 1987 to 2022.
@@andre-le-bone-aparte To be honest, I’m not sure. But even if they did, we’re not Berkeley, UCLA, etc. Galloway greatly benefited from the politics of his era.
In Life, it's important to filter all the information we receive. Scott Galloway by his own admission entered UCLA with a 2.5 GPA and somehow went on to UC Berkeley after a subpar performance at UCLA. Black Folks aren't allowed to do that. 40 years later, Scott Galloway is the kind of Dude that can be approached by Jensen Huang (CEO of NVIDIA) who says he's a 'fan' and not even know who Mr. Huang is. For me, Galloway is ONLY USEFUL regarding what is happening with the Stock Market and divulging Business info I might miss or in conversations I'm not privy to. His investing philosophy is to buy Funds (VOO = S&P 500 etc etc) for the most part because attempting to hit a home run with individual stocks is too time consuming (95% of my non-retirement investments follow that pattern. I don't have or want a relationship and unlike him, I don't deal with Russian "Pros" so... I'll just be over here, trying to hit $5,000,000 before I die WITHOUT the distractions (or assistance) from a Female.
1:08:57 _“Yes Donnie I'm very familiar with tone talks… I don't know if he talks about uh transfer wealth in gender terms tone used to do a lot of that…”_ -I’ve been a subscriber to ToneTalks for some time. I don’t recall him addressing intersexual dynamics other than having periodic “relationship” segments with relationship charlatan - ahem - “guru” Zo Williams who would basically engage in both-sides-ism and pandering to women. I’ve heard people call in who have opinions that may nod towards “red-pilled” perspectives but Tone immediately interrupts saying “No manosphere stuff!” and hangs up on them.
@@TheParadox_ Earlier on, he would do shows that were fairly red-pilled-albeit without the use of such terminology. Dating, the treatment of men, etc. He used to speak more about the difficulties Black men faced. See some of his statements at the end of this blog piece: newblackmasculinities.wordpress.com/2018/10/29/fatherless-black-generationx/#more-2945
If you can’t afford something in USA, it has to do with you not the society. There is no nation in the world which promises housing. This is not how life and the world has ever worked. If you can not afford a home in USA, that’s is your personal fault. Stop blaming min wage, economy, history and etc. the key is to adapt and overcome, if not then you don’t survive. That’s life
Don’t be dense. No one is expecting to be handed keys to a home. The issue is the increased cost of living but the severely lack of increase of income to match. People have every right to be upset about that.
@@Pride0FTh3Lion The roof has a limit. The wages have slowed down but the assets have been easier to access. The key to wealth is not large salary but all in money management. Develop the skills now verse later. Housing is affordable in USA, most people just have poor money management skills and bad personal choices which get in the way. There is not nation or economy to help you. The People have to do better for themselves. Do not blame the winter but the farmer.
@@Pride0FTh3Lion accept responsibility and increase your financial literacy. If people spent as much time they spend with the solutions verses the excuses they would solve 95% of their own issues. Focus on the aspects you can control.
@The_Love_Doctor_Sean You don't know what you're talking about. Financial literary is an you live in an ultra-capitalistic, highly exploitative, and predatory system that you find in the U.S. Poor management skills, financial literary, invest, Black buying power. cyprto cons, etc. doesn't mean jack shit when you have low wage earners and billionaires, bank and policies who control the vast wealth in this country that keep people poor and unhoused. That is how capitalism works.
