The game does actually tack win streaks: in the menu logbook under Records at the bottom of the totals tab. It says it tracks best and current win streak for unranked solo/group runs. Not entirely sure whether that refers to rank 0 runs or is just some leftover description from earlier builds of the game.
I would love to see a guide or tier list for the book multipliers and bosses based on first/second book. I’m still struggling to make that decision consistently well so understanding what you value/consider acceptable to take would be really interesting
Yeah, totally. For the moment I'm feeling out how popular this series is before making a ton of guides, but notionally I think Overstimulated, High Gravity, Pacifism, Gunkfilled (Book 1), and Tourist Trap are the easiest to play around. Avoid Final Chapters like the plague, and consider Wit Thief for book 2 if you have excellent will generation. Inkshield and the like are functional picks, but they slow you down a lot so I don't like taking them unless I absolutely have to.
Nice run! Been enjoying this series. A little surprised you skipped blink without comment here... if you didn't know, it also gives Godkeeper a stack of velocity, so it becomes a nice offensive skill for them in addition to its usual defensive value.
Yeah, Blink is alright! In general I favor it for Weaver or Clairvoyant who don't have mobility baked into their kit, but having to draft into Shielding Blink for it to do any real defense is very risky. I tend to prefer something safer for my solo play.
The way smuggler's sack works is that it inflicts 4 poison on a random enemy, and it repeats this process 10 times. So with poison blood, you're getting 10 stacks of heamorage on random enemies each turn.
The really interesting part is that it treats these all as simultaneous applications, so each application triggers Poisonblood's hemorrhage. That last bit is the part I wasn't expecting here!
I had a spikes run where I had the full Ambusher set, and the relic that lets you use a binding 5 times with no cool down on turn one, so I could do that every turn, and my shield wall was blocking for 10, and giving 11 spikes. So we just did that 4 times a turn and let everything die hitting me.
Yeah, full Ambusher with that vestige is nutty. Just click Shield Wall 5x every turn and win hard. Assembling Ambusher is really difficult, though, so I'm glad it has a huge payout.
