That really needs to happen for true science literacy to manifest in the public. Failure to show stuff like that is a major contributor to pseudoscientific beliefs. We were told just the end-result answers in school, as if science was some kind of impartial oracle instead of a non linear process resulting in collection of rigorously tested best guesses. That hasn't exactly been the best method, since it leads to a whole bunch of double think and neurosis around scientific subjects, since people feel like they've been lied to and we're never introduced to how science actually works.
