A Brief Explanation of Negative Feedback

Negative feedback enables the output of a system to be maintained at a certain level or value. It does this by taking some measurement of the output, comparing it to what is expected and then adjusting some element of the input or system to keep the output within its acceptable range.
This video describes negative feedback in a little bit more detail using block diagrams and examples to help with the explanation.
The last parts of the video show how negative feedback is used by operational amplifiers (op amps). This is a prelude to a more detailed study of negative feedback in op amps.
