I've been hoping to see the doors and Incense and Peppermints at the end of the 60s, and I wasn't dissapointed. You are an awesome organist and you have a fine instrument there I wish I would have myself. Great demo👍

This one time, I found a vox continental organ at a Goodwill. I played it and people loved it. It cost a lot of money to buy it.

Wow! This sound is so unique! Gotta find a keyboard that duplicate... There has to be tons of them.

I'm picking up an American made Connie this week-end. Not a UK based one like yours, but it was in too good of shape and included everything, so I jumped on it! Super stoked!

Nick Yates That’s awesome! The V301H models are really cool, especially with wooden keys!
@nickyates9820
@nickyates9820 4 года назад
@@LiamEnea This one has plastic coated wooden keys. It sounds really nice, but I don't know that it sounds as wheezy and awesome as your UK model. I may just be getting used to it, though. Not sure if there is supposed to be any difference in the sound of the 3 different makes of Connies, tbh.

Loved it. Hadn't realized so many songs used the Continental. (a bit of advise, get a turban and look into the camera while playing.) 😉

Played many of those on my vox in the sixties bought it in 66 new used it untill 75 then sold it last year easy to maintain but getting too heavy to gig now. So invested in small keyboards which give all the sounds I require. Life moves on

Man you got probably the best sounding Vox organ that I've heard. Maybe it's because its a British version. Especially being a 64 instead of the 1965 version I see a lot of people use. But maybe it's just me
@LiamEnea

I think it’s the EQ sir!
@nate7393
@nate7393 3 года назад
@@LiamEnea Ah ok well that definitely could be it then. Still sounds really great. Another thing I love that you do, is that you mix the different drawbar settings a lot instead of having them all out like a lot of people do with these. Nothing wrong with that, I just like to hear the different tone settings it offers when someone demonstrates these like you!

How are you recording this? Is it just DI? Love the reverb. Great playing :)
@LiamEnea
@LiamEnea 5 лет назад
Jay Crafton Thanks so much man! I played the Vox though a Fender Super Champ X2 mic’d with a Sterling condenser microphone direct into Audacity through a Blue Icicle exchanger. In Audacity, I placed some artificial reverb on the track to give it greater depth!
@JayCrafton
@JayCrafton 5 лет назад

Good idea. I was hoping to learn about things like, how much the thing weighs, how many are left in usable condition, how much they cost back in the day as opposed to nowadays, who created it, etc. Just saying. Cool video.
