It makes me sad seeing how blind many European people/countries are to their colonial past and racism.

I remember many years ago Prince Philip went to a factory, saw some electrical item that had wires hanging loose out of it and said “this looks like it was made by an Indian”.

Unfortunately in Britain and France, many of them are incredibly proud of their colonial history. They see it as a testament to the western world’s superiority. They also always love to say that they introduced modern technology, medicine, language, religion and culture to the primitive peoples of the world. It’s like here in America where some people will actually argue that slavery was actually a good thing because their descendants get to live in the “greatest country in the history of the world”.

Harry back then didn't know much better his family's bad influence, But now he's a changed man.

How can you say that a family is not racist when its entire core stems from slavery , and then there are people who look upto these people as inspiring figures .

Well they ain't gonna tell you that in history .

All started with colonialism. Perhaps the easiest way to understand why colonialism was so horrific is to imagine it happening in your own country now. It is invaded, conquered, and occupied by a foreign power. Existing governing institutions are dismantled and replaced by absolute rule of the colonizers. A strict hierarchy separates the colonized and the colonizer; you are treated as an inconvenient subhuman who can be abused at will. The colonists commit crimes with impunity against your people. Efforts at resistance are met with brutal reprisal, sometimes massacre. The more vividly and accurately you manage to conjure what this scenario would actually look like, the more horrified you will be by the very idea of colonialism

Well done! I was raised to respect everyone until they gave me a reason not to. It's not just the royals of the UK/Commonwealth 😂 that I still can't understand the existence of, but the very institution of royal presence/rule right across the globe. Sticking to the UK for the moment, I find it grossly unacceptable that a percentage of my taxes are channelled directly to the Royals 🤔 For what exactly? When the blind spew statements as so and so have been doing a great service to the public or serving the UK for a very long time...what exactly did they do and who asked them or paid them to do it? How were vast acres of the UK, areas of great beauty and interest donated to the Royals? And the fact they have kept a hold of this unethically acquired "wealth" only underscores greed, snobbery and a "we don't really care" attitude. The very existence of Royals right across Europe was all about control, they are all related, all have a piece of the same pie which clearly espouses their elitist mentality....Why don't royals just go around distributing their wealth to the needy? Why do the public have to contribute to their international trips, fleets of aircrafts, up keep of palaces especially when we are charged for an entry fee to visit..they should all be open houses for the public etc...let's be real what's the real benefit of any royal in any country other than to control and acquire wealth and have the power over a state!? 🤔 I believe the word nothing comes to the fore!

Problem with people like Nigel and others saying things like that is convenient amnesia. To create a commonwealth and empire people die, lose their land, are forced to take on other languages and so on and so on. People need to see that this mindset hasn't gone too far, it's still with us. Public relations training helps them to keep a lid on it until they slip up and speak their minds or act in accordance with their true feelings and philosophies.

Prince Philip's two sisters were also married to Nazis. The last Emperor/Kaiser of Germany was a grandson of the monarchy, and the 3 main powers fighting in WWI were all first/second cousins, i.e., Tsar of Russia, Kaiser of Germany and King of England. All fighting over the worlds resources, esp the Dardanelles. This was to take over the Turkish Traits and of course, this was the main trade route from Asia to Europe.

Even in history all Greatness came from greed and deception, those castles and towers all made on the expense of others.. No infamous nation comes from peace and good morales.

You should do a video on Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III. England had a Black Queen, as a matter of fact she was queen when they Colonized America. I grew up where a lot of the battles for the Revolutionary War of 1812 was fought & I remember a museum exhibit of the propaganda that British soldiers would use to entice slaves to fight for England, ensuring their African Queen would give them their freedom. Look up her paintings by Allan Ramsey & you can clearly see that she's of African descent. And I find it amusing that William was allowed to name 2 of his children George & Charlotte but they try to hide the fact that Queen Charlotte was Black
