The scare ability from the naked worriors are insane! Great move to place the nakeds on a tower in the near of the frontline.

That was a great hold for the defenders I thought they would win for a while, they definitely could have had a chance if they pushed when they wiped the elite hoplites on the right part of the settlement. Great battle as always though

GG to both teams , a few small mistakes of the defenders had somme concquenses .... For the defenders the game was 2 minits to long ;-) . annyway great game to watch. ALSO great comment ! in my opinion he deserves more likes guys ....

Hey Joe thanks for the awesome cover.. So the rules where 124+1 random factions including Rise of Republic dlc , 2 scorpions for defenders 1 fixed 1 scorpion for attackers. Both teams where on discord.Gotta tell you man playing low armoured factions in inhouse games it's always very tough.Still it was a good fight

Joe? appears to be using the Syracuse faction from Rise of the Republic, though why exactly he's choosing them I cannot tell. Elite Hoplites cost 1060 for a 42/30 unit with no precursors, and while they have great armor, traditional sword infantry is almost assuredly superior- and RotR Syracuse, of course, lacks any effective swords.

I know you like it but the cost benefit ratio on the noble horse with Carthage just doesn't seem to be there. You're giving up an entire mid-tier infantry unit to get a pretty good cav unit that contains your general. It's not good enough to be used like a cataphract or something, and because it has your gen you still can't be too aggressive with it. So, there are a limited number of circumstances where you will get a high value from it that you wouldn't already get from the generals' bodyguard which can already kill archers or a ballista or routing units w/e. If you want to bring more than the 1 cav unit to be more aggressive than you probably want a different faction anyway. If you really want one heavy cav unit in your army there are plenty of factions where it's built in like Galatia. With Carthage you can bring really strong infantry-based armies. 10 mid tiers or 8 and an elite. The Noble horse just screws with that. I would equate it to bringing the noble horse with Arverni. You should definitely bring the Oathsworn instead and with Carthage I would argue the same.

Oh, I post on my channel quite often. I post in Hansen's discord often, unless it's a milsim or something like that. Not a lot of Total War fans in that discord.

Is libyan or thorax infantry better?

Libyan beat thorax swords in straight up 1 on 1. But during sieges other factors come into account which can help the units out. Pilla , archers and gen abilities etc
