My favorite silly little fact: the lore of the furniture item "Silversand Coconut Tree" lets us know that Childe followed through on the offer he made to Baizhu and Qiqi to start a coconut import route for Qiqi's coconut milk.
I would love to hear some fun facts about characters ingame, like how Pierro was canonicly roommates with the travelers siblings (yes this is actually canon im not making it up, you can find it on his wiki page😭) Or how Lisa once asked the grand sage, if mixing flour into a hydro slime, would turn it into a dough slime
Some personal favorite, kinda similar, facts: - Opera Epiclese Bulletin Board is the only bulletin board in all of Teyvat that changes for a short time period and reverts back (excluding event limited messages), that being during Flashback in Neuvillette's Story Quest Also, Vertical Fountains on both sides of Opera Epiclese only work while in-game music is playing - Lisa suffers from Cucurbitophobia - Fear of Pumpkins - It's implied (in the description of Flower's First Blushing Bloom furniture), that that many poetic nicknames, for furniture in Inazuma, that are popular today were granted by Kazuha - Goldbud Stone furniture description is the only lore description that mentions the existence of Primogems - Kaeya tells Mondstadt children that lanterns contain the imprisoned souls of fireflies - Vera's Melancholy book has a potential direct reference to Honkai Impact 3rd in it's 1st volume - Technically the existence of Golden Wolflord in Inazuma and of Beastly rifts in Fontaine was never (fully) explained - Dori might potentially be named after a dwarf in Norse myth (who's name was also used for Tolkien's lord of the ring dwarf with the same name) - Black Serpent Knight: Rockbreaker Ax is the only enemy who can exclusively be encountered in the Spiral Abyss
interesting observation about the wolflord my guess for the wolflord would be how close it is to the dark sea and how far away Tsurumi Island is from the dominion of the seven, where abyss could start leaking in Teyvat (the purple portal they use).. since the wolflord is huge, it may require huge open space and free from the seven to fully appear
@@thesparklegirl3236 If you mean combat event, then yeah, it did appear in other combat events, but those are time limited. The only PERMANENT place to encounter it is still abyss (and technically even that is time limited for that abyss iteration)
I actually prefer this type of video that doesn't requiere preexistant knowlage and covers facts about what is in the game. I would love to see stuff like this about lore too. I feel like too much of the lore community focuses about the future. When i see stuff like "here is how Natlan will play out" my first though is to avoid lore content for the next few months.
As an Etymology Hobbyist, I have a fun etymology fact for each Nation. Mondstadt - The Philanemo Mushroom uses (phile-) and (-anemo), which means Lover of Winds, however with the element of Anemo being a more core aspect in the game, it could equally mean Lover of Anemo. Liyue - Guili Assembly, named with the combination of Haagentus and Morax’s name, Guizhong, and (unknown)-li. It’s speculated that Morax’s name could’ve been Zhongli since the (-li) in both names have the same meaning. However one observation I’ve made is that the (-zhong) in Guizhong’s name was excluded from the combination, and so was the First portion of Morax’s name. If his name was Zhongli during that time, then it’d make sense that they chose the other portion of their names to combine, otherwise they’d have the Zhongzhong Assembly. It is fair to note, that both of these “Zhong”’s have different meanings. Inazuma - I don’t see many people take mention of this, but Raiden Ei is a Youkai herself, a Kami is a Deity Youkai, which she is referred to multiple times. This also includes Orabashi, and Raiden Makoto, although it makes more sense for Raiden Makoto, while Orabashi is a foreign deity. So the naming sense of Kami may simply indicate a God, it does not indicate that any special Youkai ability beyond that God’s own unique power. Take with that information as you wish. (This should mean that each Archon has their own title of Kami, if the Inazumans were ever interested enough in giving them such a title) Sumeru - the Padisarah is a unique flower that was made by Nabu Malikata, it is said that the Padisarah was named after an ancient deity, looking into the Egyptian etymology of Padisarah, you’d come to realize that it’s separated into Padisa-rah, the Master King Ra. Ra is the Egyptian God of the Sun, and was a God that ruled over the other Gods, and was alternatively named, Amun-Ra/Amun-Re. Making another obvious connection with King Deshret, since his Divine Name was Amon. So the Padisarah flower was named after Deshret. Fontaine - Scylla is the Fell Dragon Prince we meet in the Sea of Bygone Eras. However the name Scylla can be found in a Greek tale, about Scylla and Charybdis. It’s talks about two monstrous beings, Scylla and Charybdis, living on top of rocky terrain in the middle of the seas with a narrow passageway of the sea between the terrain, and if you travel between these two monsters, they’ll attack whoever comes close, so you have to decide if you want to be attacked by Scylla or Charybdis. Well, in Fontaine, there is an area called Fort Charybdis Ruins. Which may suggest some form of connection with Scylla.
Wow about Padisarah, I know about the "Padishah" part but I never though of the "Ra" part. It makes more sense. A flower made by Nabu, meaning "Great King Deshret" Also I think you'll like this about "zhong" in Zhongli and Guizhong's name. In china it's a taboo to give someone a clock because the term "to give a clock" (送钟), pronounced as song zhong, sounds the same with "funeral rites" (送终). Zhong in zhongli's name (钟) means "clock" while in guizhong's name (终) means death/the end. I think it's very interesting connection since Zhongli is working at funeral parlor while Guizhong is.. well we know. Also some people translate Zhongli as "finally leave", which is his whole character story in the archon quest. But that translation is correct if Zhongli is written as 终离, which use "zhong" in Guizhong's name. Istg those two names alone make quiet a lot of wordplay 😅
@@whatismyadjectiveiconfused I really do like that part about “zhong”, it really puts in depth just how close Zhongli and Guizhong potentially were. I really hope we get another story about her, after all, we haven’t heard Zhongli’s tales about his time with her, only with Cloud Retainer and Madame Ping. And Zhongli still has that dumbbell puzzle she left to him, containing all of her wisdom. So there definitely is a good reason to be given more lore about Guizhong.
I'd also like to add one thing about the Padisarah Taking the Padisa part of the name, it could be a version of the name Parisa, which in Persian means 'beautiful like a fairy (Pari)' Considering The Goddess Of Flowers was also a seelie which are basically a type of irish fairy and that she was canonically called beautiful, i think Padisarah may be another mix of names like Guili
@@belfey_ honestly, the Padisarah might be a combination of each God. They were made on Rukkha’s birthday, the present day Padisarah’s are Rukkha’s imitation of the real thing. There could indeed be multiple works of wordplay involved in Padisarah that is meant to tie each of the Three Desert Gods together. Padisa-Ra for Deshret, Parisa-rah for Mabu Malikata, Padisarah for Rukkhadaveta.

By shoving them into Ruin Guards, only end being mauled. Diluc once drunk Snezhnayian Vodka, only to end 3 days in a coma. Ganyu named all the dogs in Liyue with different names. Barbara once trained to be a sword user. Rosaria is the only Spear user in Mondstadt.
Imagine thinking your going to find some important lore but then you end up reading a story about a guy who wanted to fly using a sword 🤣 My personal favorites are sharpshooters oath and harbinger of dawn, what makes the ladder funnier is the fact that Kaeya gives it to us. I never noticed we had no characters with the letter P in their name, what makes it even weirder is that we suddenly got some really good lore when we finally got Arlecchino aka Peruere whose been theorized to be a descendant of Perinheri, there's also some interesting stuff about Pers the penguin from Freminets favorite book. I don't know if this was a random accident or Hoyo wanted to make characters with the letter P in their name extremely lore relevant, the ladder would honestly be hilarious.
Since this video is about random fun fact, I'll share one this: Near the statue of 7 between liyue harbor and guili plain, there's a grandpa and grandma who live across each other. If you talk to the grandpa, he'll tell you that he has feeling for the grandma across his house since they're young but too afraid to confess to her. Meanwhile if you talk to the grandma, she knows that the grandpa has a crush on her and actually waits for that grandpa to confess Honestly, grandpa, go get her!
Aww that's so wholesome! A video dedicated to NPC fun facts would be interesting! Like who's related to who and stuff like that. Genshin has so many NPCs it's hard to keep track. (Part of me want to believe that interacting with enough number of NPCs would unlock an achievement 😂)
A fact. Erinnyes is an error, its real name is Errighenth, because the "gh" looked like "y" in ancient writings. But the name used in the map is still Erinnyes, so it was not changed even if it was revealed to be an error.
Mondstat still doesn't have a dendro character. In contrast, counting all Vision wielders/future playable characters, Natlan already has at least one character of each element.
I love these videos, keep it up! I'm gonna share one of my favorite random lore bits: The Fortress of Meropide's credit coupon system was heavily implied to be created by the Fatui Harbinger Pantalone. It's found in the description of Wriothesley's 5-star weapon, cashflow supervision. It basically says that Pantalone wanted to create an experiment of a "new" economy that doesn't rely on Mora (or Morax), both of which he despises, so he found a "nation within a nation with no influence from the divine". Can't wait to meet Pantalone, he sounds so fascinating. A wealthy banker who despises the concept of money is super interesting.
Pantalone's credit coupon is I think what will overtake Mora as the next monetary object (since now golden house doesn't produce Mora anymore after Zhongli gave the gnosis away to Tsaritsa). If it's happening, I find it an incredibly irony because Pantalone's dream is somehow fulfilled thanks to Morax who is not intending to produce Mora anymore (he can produce Mora by hinself without gnosis, he just doesn't want it to and let the human figure out how to safe whole teyvat economy)
7:09 My favourite death reward is the one you get from dying to lightning (I don't remember if it's Inazuma's specifically or not). I just remember when I was like AR 14 trying to icebridge to Inazuma and learning the hard way you can't.
I sail from Inazuma to Liyue and Mondstadt on slow days because of the scenic alone 😆. Yeah it's about seven minutes of wasting my time. Sometimes people like to walk in the woods. I like to sail in my waverider in Genshin. Weird I know, and I would definitely sail to Inazuma too if they would just put a waverider spawn point in Liyue port or Falcon Coast. I'm waiting for the Black Cliff Forge to open up so I can sail to Port Ormos too. Let me Sail damn it! ⛵
Is it possible to sail to unmarked island off the coast where the game beings? I guess many people would find it easier than gliding all the way there.
Btw, here is an interesting random fact, most people never notice: character's burst energy needs and its cooldown are interconnected. If a character has a 40 energy cost, cooldown is 12 seconds, if 50 energy it's 13.5, 60e=15s, 70e=18s, 80e=20s and 90e=22s. This rule, however, does not apply to Raiden: her burst has 90 energy cost, but it's cooldown is only 18 seconds, as if it was 70 energy instead
Unless I'm mistaken, Anemo slimes are the only actual enemy with a built-in auto-kill condition. Plenty of enemies can be instantly defeated if you get them into deep enough water. But, seemingly only, Anemo slimes can be 1-hit-KOed by some other method. That being popping them like a balloon when they float in the air.
These are not useless facts. Its fun facts for me. ✌️ Also, I'm one of those people who ride the Waverider from Inazuma to Mondstadt. Because of the view. And if I had more time to just really apperciate my surroundings. I just use Furina. 😅

loving these type of videos ! my nerdy side surely came in clutch when i already know most of these facts, tho i still enjoy hearing them again nonetheless :3 it just shows how much care and love genshin developers have for their game :'D a random favourite npc fact i recently discovered thanks to my sis (who's been playing since 1.5) is the relationship between Sisi and her boyfriend Chaoxi who has been secretly two-timing her with other girls (Cui'er aboard Pearl Galley, Taraneh in Sumeru) while on the job as a sailor.... a stinking playboy 😮💨 you can find them conversing during night time in Liyue Harbor on the small(?) bridge connecting to the docks, and Sisi longing for him at daytime (she truly deserves better 😭)

you need to do the Aranyaka quest to enter the area true, but you unlock it on the map only when activating the statue of the seven that's in there, whereas I believe the area he mentioned in Chenyu Vale is not only accessed via the quest, but also automatically unlocked on the map (i don't even think there's a statue of the seven there at all)
My headcanon is that it's just a really simple name like "Bob" and he's just embarrassed that everyone around him has cool names, so he uses his last name.

Their last names are different because their parents separated. Jean went with their mother, Frederica Gunnhildr, while Barbara went with their father, Seamus Pegg!
For real what is going on with skins? Why is there only one 5* did they just stop or something Why don't they make more skins when it's such an obvious money printer and honkai impact has hella skins

Close, but not all Fatui, just those from the House of the Hearth! (Otherwise Childe would have been included.) Orphans raised in the House of the Hearth take the surname Snezhevich if male and Snezhevna if female. I think the earliest mention may have been the hidden world quest "The Very Special Fortune Slip" back in Inazuma, which is extremely easy to miss if you're not digging for all the extra achievements and things to do while playing. It was our first introduction to the House of the Hearth as a concept in-game, I believe.
