A Card Worth 55,000,000... and the Sneaker that Got Me Back Into Collecting! 

I used to collect shoes since 2011..until 2021.. collected all the hype jordan shoes, lebron and k0be, old school reeboks iverson etc..got a collection of less 250 pairs.. but as i see in time.. i cannot even use all of them.. and its only stuck in my closet..i decided to sell most of it.. until i got less 50 pairs left. Collecting is good.. but in due time.. its meaningless.. just save money for other purposes rather than shoes.. as for now im done collecting jordan shoes..sold most of it. As you go older..youll realize your priorities.. i once watch a video of MICHAEL V.. whom he had a close friend who has a lot of shoes.. then one day he died.. all of his shoes were sold cheap. just to get rid of them. from that video is a learning lesson from me. Collecting stuffs is not always good in the end.. so for now.. most of my left shoes.. I WEAR THEM ALL LET IT FADE. CREASE AND GET DIRTY AND OLD. Thats how we should use our shoes..I Dont collect a lot of shoes anymore. Im done. SAVE your money For your RETIREMENT. SAVE..as What joey de leons belief.. TITE. TRABAHO, IPON, TRAVEL and ENJOY. LIfe is SHORT and TIME is GOLD.. Theres MORE IN life..than Shoes. 🙂🙂🙂👌

been hiatus on collecting sneakers for roughly 5 years until I accidentally watched one of big boy cheng’s vlog (out of the blue, it popped up on my youtube app) and was amazed by his massive collections. That time i did not know him at all but I’m thankful that it helped me revive my inner “sneakerhead” and got me back to collecting sneakers again. It was the yeezy 350 slate that I first bought after coming back 😅

for the past years i have been all about foams/clogs (yzy slides/foamrunners, fog the california, birk bostons, crocs). The GSP x Tom Sachs got me into buying and wearing sneakers again. trying to get a vomero 5 soon haha

The shoes hiatus is normal. For me I love Adidas superstar.Aside from looks and comfort, I had at least 3 Superstars in my lifetime. We shared the shoes with my late brother and father. It has a sentimental value for me.

I'd like to think na nawala yung passion for sneakers, more of nadivert or nadistract lang. For you, it could jave neem your businesses or Magic. For me it was Pokemon cards cause it was fun to relive that bit of fun from my childhood and kist seeong how things jave changed, how the card art is so much more detailed now. But then pahamak tong si Ronnie Fieg at nagrelease nung Salmon Toe Gel Lyte V. The original GL3 salmon toes were getting pretty expensive so I saw this as my chance to get a version of it. Plus it didn't look like a downgrade at all. So here I am, back at it 😂

Been in the game since 2009 and same w you sir Carlo, I kinda stay away from the game because I noticed that a lot of resellers have been controlling the game. I cannot see people wearing the shoes but rather just looking to flip it. So the rise of the adidas SAMBA OGs lately have gotten me back again into sneakers but this time just like you, I’m looking now for a toned down type with just a right amount of pop.

I would have the card graded and sell it privately for atleast 2.5M usd. If walang buyer, then ill take it to auction

Got tired of the usual jordans and collabs taking Ls left and right. What pulled me back was the retro 80s basketball shoes that brands are pulling out from their vaults. Not the common NB 550 or Panda Dunks but the other stuff like the Adidas Rivalry 86 or the Converse Weapon Fragments. If your an 80’s basketball sneakerhead now is a good time to be back in the game.
