Because he keeps calling Carlsens H4 opening the "plow" opening, while the rest of the chess community calls it THE BOOMERANG OPENING, which is the correct and preferred name. If he starts using the correct term his follower count will explode.
Don’t let people put you down for wanting more analytic games and less humor. Honestly , your humor allows my feeble mind to understand what’s happening better. If these guys who don’t want humor want a professional analysis of the game, they can watch the game on mute (so they remain subscribers cuz u rock)
Thanks man appreciate it and yeah I enjoy making them like this, I am sat there cracking up at times when editing so won’t stop helps keep me sane too 😁
Brilliant commentary! Just a teeny bit happy with myself for correctly defending at 10:07 . Let's not kid ourselves: No way in a million years I'd find that in a game. Loving the running gags with Niemann and Kramnik.
I'm not used to seeing such a stunning lack of confidence in an Epic Chess thumbnail. What's up with the question mark at the end of "Game of the Year?" Replace that question mark with two.. NO-- THREE exclamation points. Then follow it up with the B-word in all caps (underlined). It doesn't matter. All is forgiven because you finally used the word swashbuckling again. That actually got you out of your next few jams. Well done. This video had it all, actually. My favorite part was Kramnick's cameo.
At the end Magnus could have played Qb7? If pawn promote then Bf3+ forcing knight takes Nxf3, then Qf3#. Alternate: Qb7 the Qxd5 followed by Qxd5+ Kg3 Qxd2. There is an escape for black with Qf5, but with time crunch, who knows what would have happened.
Literal tears of laughter but also just pure enjoyment watching that game get recapped, probably one of my all time favourite games with so many strange positions. Fantastic, I'm so grateful to you making this video!
@@ronaldbell7429 TRUE. He needs to take his Throne back from Ding as World Champ and stop duckin him. Ive seen a few games where Ding has had his number handily and Magnus was in Time crunch. Needs to sit him down.
Can you please cover the game between Magnus and Anish at Meltwater CCT Finals (2021)? It's one of the most beautiful games tbh, would love to hear your thoughts on it!
I maybe already did if it is the queen sac game, I defo covered that but sorry forget when but if you search my videos should be there! Maybe I’ll do again one day
Thanks a lot, yeah might get to, it’s tough cuz any time I do videos like that so few ppl actually care really, is depressing to go to so much effort and no one watches lol
Ok, that's an understandable reason not to cover such games. Shame though, the clickbaitability of topics must feel like an annoying restriction on your own creativity. That's how YT algorithm works I guess :P
Thanks for the Game James Magnus face was turning beet red at the end of this game but I knew you can’t keep him down long good job by Alireza Thanks for the Game Enjoy your day
Title’s about Magnus, 99% of the comments are about Magnus, while that’s an amazing game by Alireza. Don’t understand you people. Giving up a piece to Magnus even with a 3 pawns compensation? That’s crazy. And the rest of the game is crazier.
@@asexualnonbinaryoterkinfem6236 Laughing at someone with the intellectual capacity of a child actually makes me the child? Ahhh, what I could do with your acute sense of logic. Shame. Oh well.
carlsen is passing his crisis now!!..because it isnt enough to win with good moves only. you have to test opponent with aggressive losing moves in order to win!!
Breaking News!! There is only one God; God Almighty. And He is the perfect chess player, but you and I , and the rest, are the pieces, and the globe is the board. Read the Bible before you stamp your feet and cry out, "But what about my Free Will?"
Thanks for feedback, yeah style is changing slightly, I knew a few wouldn’t like and sorry about that, I really enjoy like this tbh but yeah I’ll try keep a balance, am generally trending in this direction tho ngl, I have a lot of fun making these
You're not entirely wrong. Overall however best balance of humor, speed, and insight I've seen so far on any chess channel, with occasional forays into silliness.
@@epicchess2021I think it actually adds to the analysis would watch regardless you’re proficient and efficient in your analysis and you speak very clearly if anything Chess needs a bit of humor its such a competitive game Thanks again James
There are three forms of humor The pun The non sequitur And someone else’s misfortune Keep up your good jokes and excellent presentations along with great analysis, with some but not too much rabbit holes. Thank you for your great videos
No offense, but, maybe tone down the distracting humour? I think people coming here are mostly interested in chess and there are tons of comedians out there.
I quite enjoy making videos in this style and having some fun with it to be honest, appreciate there may be a few who no longer want to watch the channel because of it but that is what it is I guess. I haven't found that there are many funny people on RU-vid actually in my experience of just browsing through channels, unless it is literally a comedy channels, most channels are very serious. Also comments and data seem to be suggesting that most people are enjoying this slightly altered style because I've never seen as much engagement in the comments before and never seen such high average watch times either. Sorry to hear not for you though!
I enjoy the humor and I think that's why he has so many followers. Some days hes funnier than others but I don't have a problem with it. Im a casual I don't even play chess. If you want very accurate analysis you may want to check Hikarus' videos.
