Isn't it wonderful! It really is good news! I'm so glad God pulled me out of legalism. Now I desire to serve Him out of gratefulness, not to try to earn salvation. I could never earn it. Knowing He did that for me has changed my life. I feel so much closer to Him and I feel the love of God. Lordship salvation made Him out to be someone completely different. I thank God He showed me truth.

@@mindquest1 how can you call him a liar and say he's never studied this subject when he clearly did study this subject and has been studying the bible nearly all his life. He even helps run things at a bible college, a place that is dedicated to studying the bible. You have the spirit of the accuser, atleast it totally sounds like you do. I love this man. My pastor does not believe once you’re saved you’re always saved. Yesterday he referred to 2 Peter 2:20 - out of context - and said that ‘just because you’re born again don’t think you’re safe. I often wonder if someone who doesn’t believe you’re eternally secure is saved themselves.

It’s almost imperceptible. But no one else seems to see it. I know how you can come under condemnation through false teaching and I don’t want anyone else to go through what I once went through. @@ferdnerkel thanks for your reply. But it's a bit more subtle then that. They would tell me ,"well...we can't force you to tithe. But if you don't tithe you won't receive God's blessing". But they preached from the pulpit that it was a SIN not to tithe. So since I wrote this post I went through, in context, all the passages that they use as proof texts. And I studied other N.T. Passages about giving. Just a side note, I have been Praying for wisdom for 6 months. I found that tithing, giving a tenth of your gross income, #1 is not even in the entire bible!!!! My concern was whether tithing was commanded or required of us, Christians. Because that is the only way it Could be a sin if you don't do it. But there is no command for us. #2. The times I found it commanded in the O.T. it was tied to temple sacrifice and was given to the Levites, because they had no land . And because of that, they couldn't grow these things for them selves... Which were cumin, spices, mint, herds.etc The tithes that were commanded were so the Levites could eat the meat that was their portion from the animal offerings. And I can imagine it was used as a preservative as well. #3. So since The O.T. law was fulfilled in Jesus when He died on the cross, we are actually sinning if we teach this, and or feel compelled to do it. Yes, we give...but how each man purposefully decides in his own heart.
You are correct. It is not a legal requirement. You did miss one mention in your reply though. That is in gen. 14:18-20 where Abraham gave a tithe of all. Not his income or increase but all. He did so without any law.
@@ferdnerkel yes my friend, it did say that. But, Heb7:4 explains what he gave. And, nowhere else is it recorded in Abraham's life, ever, that he gave tithe again. I guess you could look at that account as a spiritual principle. But not a command to be obeyed. My Whole assertion is that we are not under a tithing law. And to teach it is heresy. And I just found out that tithing, when it was commanded ,was like a tax, and it actually added up to about 23%.
Correct. He did offer his own son Isaac too though. Requiring the congregation to tithe is not biblical. Yet giving to the church is. Keep in mind it is freewill that gives, and not an obligation.
U say that U wanna do good works because U want to .. well the people of the lordship salvation theory .. well that's all that they desire to do is do what you wanna do they wanna serve ... is to serve the Lord in freedom just like U said .. that U wanted to do .. but don't tell anyone to accept eternal security and U can live like the devil .. if they desire to live righteously let them .. just make sure that you give the right advice to believer's in times to come 🤔
@@michaelwarrell5479 it's weird... When I was saved, things started falling away. Just stopped swearing. Just stopped. I don't know when. Started getting convicted. Thought about sin a lot. Where people get confused is the freewill issue. Yes you're saved. But you have a _freewill_ to chose right or wrong.
