Apparently none of these stage performers from natu natu on that stage were actually South Asian , or even related for that matter. This is causing backlash in South India . Specifically since once of the dancers on that stage is an American who has lived in India for sm years but isn’t Indian ofc. Her videos of the song rehearsal made ppl realise that the Oscars are robbing south Asians from such a great opportunity

Yeah that’s what I was wondering whilst the performance too. Apparently they had 4 or 5 days to choreograph the whole dance, find someone who looked similar to the protagonists, available in LA, and be a part of the SAG. I also heard they originally wanted the actors themselves to perform but that didn’t happen due to scheduling conflicts. Glad there was a performance, but def could’ve been better

From my limited knowledge and what I can remember, my favourites were: - Michelle Yeoh - Halle Berry - Angela Bassett (she did the thing again) - Cate Blanchett - Stephanie Hsu - Sandra Oh (majorly underrated outfit btw) - Deepika Padukone - Guneet Monga (Producer of ‘The Elephant Whisperers’) Among the gentlemen, I really liked Harry Shum Jr. Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Leland and Holden (Brendan Fraser’s sons) and The Daniels.

I didn’t realise it until Twitter told me that a Bond Girl (Also Oscar winner) gave it to another Bond Girl. Also, I love that it’s OSCAR WINNER Michelle Yeoh now. Her mother’s reaction was iconic.

I enjoyed Cocaine Bear a lot more than I expected! It is VERY gory and at times suspenseful, but also hilarious and super camp. I definitely recommend it to anyone that can embrace the silliness and can handle extreme gore

Cocaine Bear was a nice 3.5/5 star B-movie. It knew what it set out to do and pretty much did what was in the title. It was a cocaine bear killing people. Some of the pacing was a bit off but otherwise it was a solid one and a half hours of fun.

I actually liked that the Natu Natu performance had tons of different kinds of people. I saw South Asians, Southeast Asians, Blacks, Whites, and I think I even saw some that looked Innuit! But, I get that since it's an Indian movie, some people would want an all Indian performance, and I get that. I'm not South Asian, so it's not really my place to say what's the right thing to do. Also, the donkey wasn't the same donkey from Banshees. LOL. It was a male donkey that lives in California named Dominik. They didn't really think it would be a good idea to put a real live donkey thru the stress of flying all the way from Ireland, and rightfully so. Also, Cocaine Bear is hillarious!

The character developed an eating disorder and it was portrayed in an honest light. I’m really glad Hollywood didn’t avoid nominations or wins because of people who think an actor playing a bigger person is fat phobia. It defeats the purpose of acting to have everyone be like their character. And it’s not like fat people weren’t allowed to audition. Brendan was very respectful in his portrayal and did adequate research. I don’t think people watch the movie and look into it, I think they hear something and it becomes the bandwagon opinion. So many contradictory and unreliable articles from people who prioritize feelings from reality.
