I like these subs , they look very well built, love the flat wound coil very rugged, and the basket is stout. Even the tensil leads good. I like the fact you could show us some of the assembly in the gap. Nice motor size at least 300 oz or more . I like the boss taramps on those subs perfectly match up. Cool flex action .
Showing some of the assembly process in the gap was something I hoped would be informative, so it's awesome to know you enjoyed it i do love the big boss 8 k thanks for your kind words
yo, could you do a setup tour really quick? i wanna know how your t.amp is hooked up and how you’ve low passed it, because i’m thinking of hooking one up but don’t know how to low pass it
nice looking subs. Appearance-wise, it makes me think of something from American Bass, like the VFL or one of their other big boys. Been thinking of importing some subs just to do something different from all the Skar and Sundown builds. I was looking at ZeroFlex out of New Zealand but these look nice, recone availability is always a big plus
Very cool vid bru ... If you have not started the re-cone ... Use a grinder to clean up the 2 platforms the spider and the surround ..when you apply the glue it has a nice roughed up surface to grip to . Rather than the coated surface. I'm so happy soft parts are available. You got a set of Trex 10's recones available? For future tings
I tend to not like to use any abrasive equipment as it always seems to work its way down into the magnet gap even with tape it sticks on top of the tape so need to try remove it. It just goes straight down. It’s a bit annoying so bit of heat and patience is needed. And yes, we provide recon kits for every single model of subwoofer that we sell 🔊 Thanks for watching
@@-SINEWAVE02 true without an industrial high pressure air line it's a bit more of a mess lucky the basket particles are not magnetic. . . But ye let me know what a set of the Trex 10's recones cost .. I like to have backup even though they have never skipped a beat
Running the car audio amp in a house doesn't hurt a thing if you wire it properly ... i only have 3 car stereo equipped home systems running. No problems at all . Nice video , subs look nice.
I made it extra long as I’m trying to show all different angles of the woofer that you would not normally see when I’m using them. Different perspectives
Those db audio subs look like the dd audio subs. I used to have a db audio m2000 euphoria amp and loved it, however the lower end amps were way off on their power ratings and felt a little cheap in quality. The sube you have here seem very nice quality.
I think its over rated at 5k rms my 4k rms subs have 3 huge flat lead wires im worried that those leads wont hold up. Also my direct lead wires are 8 gauge OFC yours look like 12 gauge not nearly big enough for 5k rms
No 4 inch coil will do 5 k. Even your 4 k subwoofer will struggle to sustain that It’s rated 5k so people pair it with a 5kw amp and by the time impedance rise does its thing it’s more of a realistic wattage
@@-SINEWAVE02 I wasn't talking about the voice call I was talking about the tinsel leads try to pay attention and don't get so triggered when people give you constructive criticism it's the real world not your mommy's house
@@SheikhN-bible-syndrome if you know how to test so well then why don't you have any videos about it bro ? I'm at mums house yes your correct but i still achieved more from mommys house in the audio scene then you have so you should feel like egg
@@-SINEWAVE02 LOL the reason I don't have any RU-vid videos up is because while you're making RU-vid videos living in Mommy's house rent-free I have a wife and kid and a mortgage payment to pay so in other words I have adult things to do with and I don't feel the need to try to become popular on RU-vid by making videos despite having a garage full of audio equipment and test equipment it's for my own pleasure not for some desperate attempt to be popular in my mommy's house
The reason why I disagree with what you’re saying is because a brand-new subwoofer I could get my little brother to stand on the cone and it wouldn’t go down so when trying to get an impedance measurement using the DATS because of how stiff the cone was it wanted more weight If I was to try this test on a broken Karnage 12 , I wouldn’t need nowhere near as much weight So rather then coming at me with bare negativity maybe think why people do things certain way and why it may have been a decision that they chose Everyone on this planet is not going to test like you do it everyone is different and if you don’t like the way I test simply don’t watch what I do
@@-SINEWAVE02 you need to grow up and mature a little bit more. I wasn't being negative and coming at you I just didn't say something orgasmically positive like you're used to getting I made the mistake of talking to you like a mature adult. that's my fault. The reason I say what I say is for one you should break a subwoofer in before you test the ts parameters because they can dramatically change after full break-in so there is problem number one you had. And the second reason I think that you're doing it wrong is I've seen people do TS parameters on subwoofers like the Sundown Team Series with extra spiders it had 10 SPID on it that sub with regular Spider pack would still eat this subwoofer of yours let alone with 10 SPID basically felt like it didn't even have suspension at all before break in And yet the TS parameters were taken and on the added Mass test a relatively small stack of washers only weighing about maybe a pound and a half where adequate for the test and I guarantee you the Sundown Audio Team Series version 2 motor has more motor Force than this subwoofer of yours so it wasn't a suspension stiffness and motor Force issue for them it certainly shouldn't be for you and so from experience something tells me you're not running the test properly for the TS parameters are screwed up on the subwoofer and you don't want to share them with everybody because it will present a bunch of red flags and keep people from buying the product which might be the real reason because from what I can remember I don't think I was able to find the TS parameters on this particular subwoofer which is a little odd for something that's on the market but not too terribly odd.
@@-SINEWAVE02 oh my God RU-vid algorithm is driving me nuts deleting all of my comments. I'll keep it short and sweet. The Sundown Audio team series subwoofer with SPL package meaning 10 spiders didn't require anything more than a little over a pound of washers in order to run the parameters and get a BL reading . this is why I say you're doing something wrong because the sundown audio Team Series ( especially with the SPL package) is by far a stiffer and beefier sub then this one (and they didn't have to set their little brother on it or anything of the sort.) Buy your own admission you said you tried to run the program without breaking the subwoofer in and there's not really a point in doing that because the parameters will change dramatically once a subwoofer is broken in and 9 times out of 10 I've always seen people including myself break the sub in before running the parameters, so not sure why you're trying to run parameters pre-break-in?. And you need to work on being able to accept constructive criticism because that's what this was I wasn't "coming at you". people get so addicted to the positive reinforcement that RU-vid can give them when they post videos, to where they lose their mind when somebody posts constructive criticism. but one thing you'll hopefully learn when growing up is that constructive criticism is crucial and it will not end well for you emotionally if you only stay within a little bubble of positive fake World reinforcement because it is a requirement in order to be a good person to receive constructive criticism or else you may end up a narcissist and that would be bad for everybody PS the other option is you don't want to post parameters because there's something funky with them and you don't want to raise a red flag causing the speaker not to sell as well and so you're making an excuse because I also couldn't find the parameters on their website or anywhere online so I feel like there might be something funky with the parameters. Not me personally I don't really care what the parameters say I only care about what my ears say and parameters come last in my chart of importance but not many people hold the same kind of philosophy about speakers as I do and I realize that most people take the TS parameters to be the direct word of God basically and me I'm not really ever cared much for them but I digress
