So I can't play a full chromatic scale? Is it a major or minor pentatonic? What kind of chords are there? How about the 7th, 9th and other extended chords?

That's correct, you will be able to play major and minor pentatonic scales on Chorda. You will also have access to a 7th Chords preset and Diatonic Lead preset in the companion app.

Rather than creating a successor to INSTRUMENT 1, we combined all the best parts of Orba 2 and INSTRUMENT 1 to create Chorda. Chorda is a standalone synth, looper, and MIDI controller and allows for sample playback.

Yes, Chorda uses the pentatonic scale

sadly this is a step back compared to instrument1 , which is really a masterpiece in design thinking - i mean i can really pick it like a guitar, it feels like i am touching an instrument while fingerstyling - i cant see how i can play like this expressive on the chorda - cuz its flat, i do not touch anything and modify velocity while picking - so this is less a niche product maybe and sells better, sadly the instrument1 did not get that much love it deserves - i am afraid if mine will ever die - if so, please hold back one for me because i love you artiphon for inventing this thing❤

Hey there, thanks for sharing your thoughtful feedback on Chorda and INSTRUMENT 1. Chorda is being built with the same capacitive-sensing pads as Orba that allow for gestures like Vibrato and Radiate. You can also control things like velocity and pitch-bend in the Artipon Connect app or further customize presets for Chorda and Orba 2 in the Artiphon Preset Creator.

A lot of people had bad experiences buying from Artiphon. They really don't treat their customers very well and did not keep a lot of the promises they made regarding the Artiphon Orb. I decided to give them one more chance with the Chorda. But we shall see whether they have improved.
