As a complete noobie, I find this community very loving and reassuring. I had a teammate who helped my morale by reporting me and threatening to leak my IP address if I dont play any better. Such an amazing game 🥰
I just started playing League like two weeks ago and the community is amazing! Everyone helps eachother and nobody gets angry because they all know that it's just a game. - Nobody, never, anywhere.
@@danielj7958 i started playing and we had a team we absolutely had an epic comeback so we played a little and they we're all nice so it's not that bad.
I played the game and always had a shitty team. They never fought together, always ran away when one of us initiated and not to mention I was bad at the game. -_-
This community is so sweet. As a beginner with boatloads of anxiety, the reassuring shouting and cussing me out honestly makes me feel more alive than ever while simultaneously making me wish I wasn't.
1:19 Objectives 3:10 Turrets 6:51 Minions 8:08 Laning/Trading 10:10 Farming 11:16 Jungle 16:42 Roles 18:54 Items I didn't see this anywhere so I made one. Goodluck Edit: I came back after 2 years. Thats the most likes I've ever seen on something I made. I'm glad I could help 500 or so of you even just a little so thankies ❤❤
I started weeks ago, this community is so kind, someone really said that he would really go to my house and teach me how to play the game and be good at it, after he teaches me how to play the game, he would kill me. I love it
Yea after i started playing many people said its ok we all make mistakes and that no problem But during another match i kept losing and they said f off and told me to go and die..... that really was an horrific experience....
I just downloaded it and it's a bit hard Because its my first pc game so i don't know how to attack and how to move so yeah i think ill be geting more than that
My first game I absolutely sucked, one of my teammates kept going off at me. Second game he was on the opposite team and I managed to kill him, never felt happier 😍
This happened on my first game, and the irony was that only me and one other player were actually trying to win and fight and the others were trolling, yet I still got banned for 2 weeks
@@afraidoftrees8360 honestly if they ban u from reports from ur first game or even the first couples then riot should probably check their algorithm for banning or whatever
im lvl 23 and I still suck a lot. I really am trying to get into the game but the rules and mechanics are all overwhelming let alone the damned community
lmao im pretty new and im too anxious and intimidated by them so even if i want to zoe even though i am pretty good at her i get forced into support cause they auto pick mid/adc/jg/top
My coworkers: LoL is good, try it Me: But ive heard some bad things about community Coworkers: yea its true but not all Me: (Watching this video) Hmm ok, i will try it ... Me: (watching the comments) .... or maybe not ...
After reading all the comments below I must say that I feel lucky. I was playing co-op vs ai mode when a player started giving me advices 'cause I was playing support. He/she then invited me to play with his friends (all pro ranked gold) and I sucked badly lol (I didn't even know how to place a ward), but they didn't get mad at me even after I apologized them for being so bad. So yeah, now I'm here willing to learn more
I remember seeing these comments and thinking there’s no way the community was that bad. Went in not knowing any League terms and you can imagine how that went. On my second game I still wasn’t sure what I was doing and got told I had Asperger’s. 😌✨
i start playing in 2012, when a friend of high school told me "hey, download this game, we need to give it a shot" and here we are, 7 years late, still playing together haha
thats not even bad, i had a guy get mobi boots and run mid all game cuz a guy asked where to go with ashe, literally saying "bot" would have fixed it but nope this guy just had to waste 30 mins, we couldnt surrender because 4 said no even when we were 3-42 LIKE WHY WOULD U KEEP PLAYING
just started playing, and the community has been really good to me! someone told me that they would like to hang me like i’m a christmas ornament 🥰 i feel very welcomed!
I’m so trash, I can’t even aim, Can’t aim you say? Download a game called league of legends, all champions have different abilities. But isn’t that game pay to win? Pay to win? Nono skill to win so what are you waiting for download now
This community is wonderful! My friend started playing a while ago and our Caitlyn who was definitely a smurf told her to kill herself completely ignoring that she was level 3 💖
I mean, in my first game everybody was cool and nice, they told we where just having fun and that i was a waste of life after losing but thats all right :)
Don't worry about learning everything at once. Just start the game and run around and have fun, if people are mean you can type /muteall in chat to ignore them. At its core all you have to worry about is killing enemy players and taking their base everything else is extra :D
Same, lmfao. I appreciate this video and I feel like it puts things clearly, but at a certain point my brain hits the “information overload” button and then my eyes just glaze over and suddenly I’m hearing the words but not understanding them. Also I know items are a thing that exist in this game and that you can buy them, and that’s cool, and I do buy the items, but also they’re just icons taking up space on my screen and I don’t know what they do but I just hit them anyways and hope it does something good. I’ve only played through the tutorial though to be fair. But even the tutorial didn’t really give lots of information on a few things I’d have liked to know 😭
@@Unlyricallyrics Turns out I was actually missing like 70% of the tutorial because I got confused by the UI and couldn't find the rest of the tutorials u-u This was on Wild Rift, btw, but I installed League on my PC last night and found the UI to be a lot easier to navigate. Now that I've actually found all of the tutorials and done them, I'm a lot less confused :'D Who'da thunk it!
Simetra He was trying to be reassuring from what I saw and heard the game is very hard with trying to learn characters and what items to use it is challenging
I played my second actual game today. Everyone was pissed I kept dying. They kept telling me to buy items and I had no idea so this guy had to walk be back to spawn and explain it all 😂 I was scared they were gonna atatck me for being a newbie but honestly they were quite helpful lol
I just started playing: “Okay, now that I’ve completed the tutorial what does mid, bot, and top mean? How do I play characters, what are all these items? Why are my teammates getting Pentakills and I have trouble just getting one kill?” Riot: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ok I will explain it, What “Mid, Bot, Top, Jg and Sup” means is they’re calling for like a lane to play in Mid= Middle Lane Top= Top Lane Bot= Bottom Lane Jg= Jungle Sup= Support the reason why they are getting a ton of kills is maybe bc they’re beast as or smth
THIS IS ME IN A COMMENT oh boy if I didn't have my younger brother who does nothing but play games to help me id be so lost 😑 like THEY DIDN'T TELL ME ANYTHING
It's the same deal with most competitive games. They have extremely simple tutorials then expect you to look up youtube tutorials to actually understand why people play the way they do and how to actually win
trust me, just play classic and practice(don't play rank). Once you feel like you start to understand things and are good with a hero then practice a small bit more for confidence boost then start rank. But DO NOT BINGE RANK. Play a few rank then go back to classic or else you will want to uninstall the game because you advanced too much too quickly.
@@norawallberg1345 np. It's only natural to feel overwhelmed by all the info you have to take in from the start, because you haven't played the game so the logic behind all the rules and stuff is harder to understand and remember. Once you start playing everythimg will just start clicking into place becasue you start thinking "ohh obviously this will be like this" and you will instantly learn how things work. When you see and experience for yourself how everything works with each other and each rule just helps other rules it will seem so obvious that it would be that way. So just start playing and everything will just start to click into place. Hope you have fun and do well in your games if you decide to play
@@norawallberg1345 As well I haven't played LOL ever before, I'm going to start playing the mobile version since I've pre-registered for it but you can trust my advice since I've been playing other versions of LOL like mobile legends, been a coach for a few starters and have 500+ matches of experience as well as been a dataminer and predicting META changes throughout games so you can trust me. I know how these games work.
I love that you went so in depth for this! I just started play League and it sounds really cool to have a Jungle champ. I know I'll have to really learn the game before I take on the Jungle but those buffs are super important!
QOTD: I was interviewed for a position in Riot. One of the requirements was for me to play League and give my thoughts about it. But they didn't continue opening an office in my country (sad). I ended up loving the game even though I didn't get the job. Lol.
@@Ramsey276one me, who's played ML for a year, and went into pokemon unite: aight this gon be ez (except for the fact that there's held items, and that you can upgrade them : | )
This is really well done. Over the years I have tried to get into playing LoL next to watching the LEC and Worlds but could never get past bot games because each "beginner" tutorial I checked used terminology I didn't know and would make the whole tutorial pretty much useless.
I have only played 2 games , haven't seen anything remarklebly toxic yet. I too am very toxic on all my other games cuz I love making people rage and giving them a bad time.
@@ChocoEarly1530 Not at all anymore, I only get flamed by Yasuo's who hate on me for going 0/2/15 with Bard. Mind you they always go like 2/10. Also all the flaming brought me a way stronger mental tbh.
Just starting playing a few weeks ago. So far I've gotten reported for throwing, threats to be kidnapped, raped or killed. Multiple KYS messages and been called a fortnite Freddy 1 too many times. This community is so amazing.
The community was so fun and nice. When I played in Summoner's Rift and someone told me to get items, I had no clue how to buy them and so I asked fearing I would get a rude answer but instead I got a friendly step-by-step answer that helped me a lot :).
omg yessss! I recommend just playing bot games until you get the hang of a specific champion, normals is filled with smurfs and toxic people when you first start out >.
Teammates are only friendly when you carry them, and listen to their calls/pings (even when they’re dumb). And if things don’t go their way, they’ll blame you. So naturally, a newbies team will always be more toxic than their enemy team…
bts just announced theyre playing this tommorow in the next run episode with faker, teddy, canna, cuzz, and effort, and im here so i can watch that without being heavily confused on whats going on
The league of legends community is so great, and are really helpful for me (I’m a noob). *It’s opposite day* Edit: I’ve been playing it for a few weeks now and tbh it’s actually pretty good
I used to play cancerous heroes (horribly i might add) and when I got my younger brother interested I found out he's a great all around player except supports and jungles so I mained support raka (side thresh) until now.
You're correct, I guess. You won't enjoy this game if you don't like losing. Because that's pretty much all you're gonna do for a little while. If I were to give you an analogy it would be that League is like Chess. And I don't mean because you need to be smart to play it. Smarts help in League but are not really required to be alright. League is like Chess in that innately it is not an enjoyable game. League and Chess were not designed to be 'fun', or 'entertaining'. These are games that are designed to challenge the players. It's a competition. A battle. Therefore, if you enjoy a challenge, then you will probably enjoy playing League. If you're looking for a game that will entertain you though, maybe League isn't the best choice. Not saying you can't have fun in League, but... you probably won't make it far enough to have fun if you're not at least a little bit competitive.
I put off getting the longest time and wish I didn't. He made it sound like so much in this video but the game has a really easy learning curve and is addictive af. Just make sure you stay in the beginner ranks to avoid all the spergs
It really is and when something is a chore it isn't fun. Why do you think so many Koreans literally make this their entire life for a chance to go pro?
My friend and his brother used to play it all the time while it was in beta and I would watch. I thought it looked boring til he threw me into a game and taught me the basics, been hooked since. Haven't gotten any better since though
acash Well thats the point if you learn all yhe mechanics and ‘skills’. Yasuo’s kit encourage the player to play very agressively so a new player will die over and over because he simply dont know his limits with the champ and what he can do and WHEN he should do it ( play agressive ) Unless the player already know a bunch about the game macro, he wont know exactly when to commit over something, while that do apply to every champion but as I mentionned earlier yasuo’s kit tend to encourage a very agressive risky gameplay.
First game I ever played I had 12 kills, felt pretty damn good. Then my second game there was a smurf and he killed me 18 times and I finished with 0 kills.
I dont get what people get iut of smurfing in casual. Like a mf i played against was level 2 and went 20-1 and of course my team is telling me to kms the whole time too
u dont kno if a player's smurf or not unless u look at their opgg or whatever for winrates. Cuz there will be times u will play like smurf but that doesnt mean u r good at the game other games u'll int. Someone lookin like smurfin in casual are mostly never good players it does seem like the opponent is super good when u are inting lul. Instead of thinkin someone's a smurf, instead u should be thinkin am i doing this bad? Even if the opponent is doing nothing special in the game but since u made mistakes, they would get fed. It makes them look like they are good. If there's a game between bad players vs bad players (same skill levels of play) it could be a one sided game since they don't exactly know what they are doing, but one is lucky and is doing a play great for self and team, but the opponent isn't doing good. The one that did a great play didn't know what he was doing and did not know what led to that great play so he won't be able to do the same in the next games and this will repeat over and over. Which is why ppl in low ranks play super good then play really bad and have same proportions of wins and losses, and stay in the same rank all the time. Idk, this kind of a mindset is needed if you want to get better and it helped me a lot lol hope it helps
I've tried League multiple times but I just find the control scheme so awkward. I'm a WASD gamer for life, and I can't get used to clicking on everything. SMITE's been my main moba for ages. I'd like to get into League if possible, but it's just so awkward for me. You bastards get way much more love and effort for your game.
Before I started league I used to play the old world of Warcraft dota mode and I would use the hotkeys there, they were much more harder so it felt like a simplification coming to league for me, and yes I do play smite aswell
bruhhhh my first moba was dragons and titans (its dead now lol) but its like league, then i moved on to smite and i was confused. 3 years later im gonna try league and lemme just say i'm thoroughly flipped and confused LOL
This guide is all over the place. Explaining the map and then jumping right to the differences between the dragons is just wtf! If I need the map explained I don't give a crap about that. It would help to explain the other stuff like levelling up etc.
This I great man, I just hit level 32 and I still feel like I'm missing a ton of basics due to all guide videos being outdated so quickly with all the changes. MUCH appreciated, belled and subbed.
played my first game today and i just wanted to say i have never felt more welcomed in a community like this one! today, one player told me to cut off my fingers because i was not using them right anyways during the game. wonderful community and a great first day!
Hey, thanks for this video. The way you clearly delivered each detail was exactly what I needed as someone who’s never player but wants to try it and I know exactly which video to watch next on your channel to further educate myself. Best of luck and thank you again for this.
I played once or twice when I was 13 but I really want to get into it now. Ngl the toxic community is scaring me to play because I don't a lot but the game itself is fun so far:D
@@Sugoiidogg yes sorry for the late response i get banned for 14 days because the support try to leash me but he took the buff I was mad so I feed the veigar and get banned Bronze 2 level 6 rengar btw
I don't always comment on videos, but when I do... This video was absolutely fantastic for me. It had everything, the length, the level of detail, the illustration, the topics. That took a lot of effort and I appreciate it very much. You got a new sub in me! :)

I was Shen main when I started. So I tought that because hes ninja he's cool and needs to tons of dmg and didnt actually know what tank is. I remember building like IE, Black cleaver, statick shiv etc. I once got super fed and got like 30 kills. Every other game I played I was straight feeding :D
I'm actually blown away by the quality of these guides. I'm new to LoL and I'm already seeing improvements after watching this, and you guys have made so many of these great, simple videos. Also, the narrator has the best talking voice ever. Keep it up!
For actual newbies (I'm still kinda newbie myself) I suggest playing ARAM games first to get the hang of items, champions, and general play. Much smaller map and beginner friendly. Just remember to NOT charge into an enemy team without your team! You will die and they will get stronger.
I just started playing, and so far it's been a lot of fun. The terminology is still very confusing to me, but I feel like I'm learning it slowly and it's nice to feel like I'm always learning more. I have learned, that people get less salty and toxic about you asking questions if you make it known that you are a noob. Maybe I'm just lucky, but most players seem really chill, and I have only met 1 really toxic player so far. Thanks for the guide, it was very helpful! Edit: on second thought, I might just be used to toxic players from playing Smash... Eh, I still think the smash community is more toxic so far.
QOTD: a older friend of mine showed me his gameplay of jax. I was amazed and asked if i could play as a spartan and lo and behold. My pantheon support during S3 began
This guide so concise, complete and well explained. I went looking for a friend of mine. I started playing by the end of season 2 because of a friend that also had started playing, before a rework to the shop and game texture.
They’re extremely toxic, so be careful what you say because they can report it and you can get banned. Happened to me for 2 weeks :/ . If you wanna play I’ll be down to play with you, I’m trash tho lmao
@@jackjack4621 I honestly don't care if I get banned. But I was pretty mature and I didn't fight back. But i'm down to play with you. We can invite Ce ez too.
Been playing for 2 months and all I can say is mute the chat and focus on one champ+role that you thoroughly enjoy. Mine is support and zyra, once you start getting the hang of things and you block out all the flaming its a really good game :3
When I started playing I started with ahri (bad choice from my side) someone got the whole team to report me, and tried do make me log off the game(it worked I logged off). But then I became a healer like I usually am and OH MY GOD THE POWER.. When someone is being a jerk on your team and you know you're gonna win either way you just don't heal the ass in your team. They Gon' regret messing with you or anyone else.💁 My rule is: NEVER disrespect the healer as they can chose who lives and who dies (Also ik this aint good for the team play but let's be honest the most jerkey players are often the notthebestbutthinktheyare players)
Play Mobile legends Bang Bang bro . It's a mobile game , easy to play , less trash talkers . But of course if you wanna master the art of MOBA ,then LOL is way better .
@@w2enaa you are a liar and I won't talk with you . Because you know that ML is less toxic than LOL but since you prefer to lie don't talk with me . Otherwise come to Eu server and let's see if there's a single trash talker In low Elo . Only trash talkers in high Elo like legend , mythic and glory And yall trash talk for a reason , unlike LOL , low Elo they trash talk , high Elo they threaten you , so racists and no one escape their trash words . (Ex diamond LOLer and I know what I am talking about).
Watched a champion spotlight about xayah. I fell in love with her immediately and just stuck with her when I first played since she was the first champ I ever knew.
Try playing the LoL ARAM style game first. It's part of the main game just select ARAM. It's more beginner friendly and the map is wayy smaller. It's less stressful than the main game, and u can still play with ur bf. You get used to mechanics and item buying. The most important thing for beginners to do is to WAIT for your teammates before attacking the other team. Otherwise you will die, their team gets stronger, and your team gets annoyed.

same the people that I play with ar all around lvl 150 and i am lvl 14 and a noob so they just put me on adc and just let me be on bot lane and when they need me they just like he come here and then fuck off. still love the game
Yeah the best way to become good is if you are really quick (usually a gaming keyboard and mouse will help you with that along with a gaming computer). You also need to think quick and predict your enemies movements. You literally need to think quick.
