Oh boy. It's Monkeyfight tier list season again. Thanks for all the sleepless nights editing just to place our favorite pet decks in poor casual.

Macro cosmos is unlimited now in the TCG. So Helios is a *little* better than shown.

Thank you Monkeyfight, without you I never would have been exposed to the glory of an archetype called Inmato about tomatoes in prison. Now I just have to wait for the next wave of Inmato support

You and The DuelLogs need to Collab. You guys put in the most effort and do not get mainstream love. Like when you showed the chart of views vs subs, it’s outrageous. Literally every post you make I make sure to watch between work since it’s literally unbelievable the effort and detail you do start to finish.

Even though it sucks to make these, they are entertaining and I can't be the only one who loves them. Hang in there man, do what's best for you.

Unironically, Inferno Tempest is a genuinely decent option in game 2 in Pure Runick, as if your board is broken, you're very likely to get hit by 3000 attack in one go.

Dark Scorpions are top tier, you just have to trick your opponent into playing speed duel first

Great video as always! I got decimated by a defense otk deck before. I went first on game 2 but was playing a trap deck so I set five, got evenly twice. Next turn I still didn’t summon. His turn he used extrav then he activated kaiju slumber on his own monster and brought out wall, and proceeded to otk me

It's nice that you're going back over this, now that you've got all the bad decks figured out. Excellent re-evaluation too, good to see Itsu in its proper place.

Hot tip about Horus... it works REALLY well with Hieratics as well if you wanna go with a more XYZ's route to get Horus out quickly with some decent boss monsters to back it up

I am happy that you as a Yugioh player cared. For this me as a primary Magic player it helps a lot to see this list because Yugioh is so full of nonsens (yes there is cool and fun nonsence). But i got 0 overview about Yugioh and what is even worth to touch. And when you ask the normal Yugioh player you get just the reaction that nothing old is worth touching just play something meta. It is a eyeopener for ppl like me how to filter.

The Vampire Orchis deck is the funniest deck I have seen all year. But as an avid plant player, I am now tempted to make a funny troll variant of the deck that burns!

Yeah Sphinx are very easy to summon with Melffys. There more slow than a new player trying to make a Nekroz board, I know that (My friend read the same card 3 times).

Chain stun Mist Valley w/ Ninja engine is bonkers... I've looped Apex Avian an infinite amount of time to the point where I was kicked from locals for stalling... mind you, I could swap Apex Avian and some other monster I forget because it was in 2016 that I played this deck...

Spiders at least for me seen to work perfectly with Digital Bugs (Bugisoft), as both heavily benefit of the opponent having defense position cards (Advice don't use Book of Eclipse in Spiders).

Im gonna be trying out a lot these in MD. Defense OTK looks really funny

Skyblaster surprisingly has synergy and it could be a playable deck if Konami gives them support. Knowing Magikey lore, those 2 Skyblaster can fit into the lore too. Maybe this is the closest deck that we can have because Magikey lore isn't end yet. I really love Magikey, and if it can expand the lore with Skyblaster, it will be very amazing. . For Zera, this is difficult to make them as a deck because basically all Zera are parts of different arctype. But if it became a deck, the first support maybe a card that can help them to search or switch their field spell, indirect support for Fairy and Archfiend too because it searches Sanctuary and Pandemonium. Retrain the ritual, and new retrain of vanilla Zera; it will be a counterpart for Zeradias and add "Pandemonium" from deck, and it is a tuner to help the deck synchro. Their gimmick may be changing attribute of their monsters on the field and GY, as the symbol of their lore, and they play with banish zone too. . Gradius, I don't know the Gradius franchise. But if Konami cannot give them support because of the copyright or they already turn all characters into YGO cards. They can just focus on making LIGHT Machine with ATK 1200 or less support, and focus with battle phase effect. I know it's bad, but if Watt can get new support, why can't it? . Ocean's Keeper, surprisingly "Thousand-Eyes Jellyfish" and "Cranium Fish" are solid boss monsters even for today's standard. They just need more support that can change their name into "Ocean's Keeper" while on the field and have some supportive effect like flip face-down opponent's monsters or shoot opponent's card in hand. Non-target and not OPT destroy face-down cards are really good, it will better if they have GY effect too, and give them some advantages while they discard as cost. Jellyfish single-handedly beat Vanquish Soul and Danger!

Pretty sure yeah XYZ dragon cannon is better as A to Z with Ojamas tho or am I spoiling Ojamas position? But man how I wish they could be independently playable..... There's already Therions for an idea somewhat to pave an idea for them but eh, can only hope the weird crumb at Konami HQ would ever be so kind seeing Gate Guardians and even Volcanics gets good.

Thanks for doing these overviews over all the Yu-Gi-Oh-Archetypes. Maybe as an advice to save more time and effort: Maybe it would just be enough to update the upper half or third of the tier list. Because, sure, some almost unplayable archetypes sometimes share a little bit of synergy in some of the best decks. But then again, noone will probalby ever play it like that. They will just play the best versions of the best decks. So apart from these weird synergies, I would say most of the bad decks don't really change from one year to the next. So, I guess it would just be enough to focus say on the update of the decks that recently got support or are new archetypes: e.g. where in the tierlist moves Altergeist with the new support from Duelist Nexus? Same with Mannadome, Synchrons etc. This would already be enough.

I like these tier lists but yeah, don't break yourself over them. If you do a lightning format where you just drop 1 sentence about the bad-to-mediocre ones and leave the decklists on your site, I think casual watchers like me might be fine with that. (Of course I do enjoy it more when you go into more details & show some ridiculous stitched-together synergy)

Damn, this series is quite the passion project to say the least, no doubt taking a lot of energy to do. Nevertheless, it's worth the effort to see how all Yu-Gi-Oh archetypes are ranked from someone who's playtested them. Naturally, there is the added variants, which does make ranking a bit harder, but it's easy to separate which archetypes carry others, to those that are on life support. I do have to ask though: will the coin flip/dice roll themes be added? Specifically, Orgoth the Relentless, and Bandit Keith's Dark Machine support with Barrel Dragon. Main reason I ask is due to how Summon Reactor does benefit from that Dark Machine support. Probably wouldn't bump Reactors out of Tier 0, but it makes them a bit more reliable. Provided Heavy Metal Raiders doesn't get popped, which is likely. I even ran Cracking Dragon in my version of Reactors for the giggles due to fitting in with Summon Reactor's burn effect. Admittedly, I am more favourable of ranking archetypes in terms of trying to reach their intended end goals (Vennominon/Vennominaga, SKY FIRE/Dark Flattop, Vylon Omega etc). Alongside cards and engines they can use without replacing the original playstyle. Therefore, each person's ranking of archetypes is subjective; it's definitely a loyalty I have with archetypes, to a fault. It's quite a grand thing that you're doing, and it'll be fun to see how the other Tiers may have changed. Besides Tiers 8 and 9 of course.

TBH I hate Sprights. They killed one of my favorite decks Paleofrog it's Ronin or Toadally Awesome, but if Sprights are online one of the those frogs dies in the Banlist.

fun fact: dark flattop is actually terrible because for it's ability to activate, skyfire had to be summoned by it's own effect and THEN it can be reborned from the graveyard. you can't just send it to the graveyard and immediately summon it

I watched this yesterday on my tv 😂 proper movie experience. Anyway this is why i voted for u to not do this series again. Its really nice to watch. However i can imagine how unfun this must be to make. And has the potential to burn u out. With that being said tho. I cabt wait foe the 4 to 6 tiers. Best tiers to watch
