I'm fond of this series. If you could, I would LOVE any of these episodes sometime later: Lunalight Vampires Darklord Rikka Abyss Actor Ancient Warriors
The problem is that every archetype does completely different unique things to the detriment of wanting to learn the game. Maybe if Konami supported or created a simplified format like GOATs, or something similar that could get new cards printed just for that format, the game could grow. Unfortunately, because they don't want to simply the card text, much less new players can even enter the space, leaving only experienced players. Another thing is that keywords would open up far more design space that yugioh has. All the best archetypes right now can basically be summarized to "When enter, search card. When die, play a card from a zone" or other similar effects. Because there are only combo decks in Yugioh, there isnt really any design space for different play styles, just better versions of previous play styles. I think the best bet to simplify would be a huge Master Rule update. It would almost have to be its own game, but I think like how magic resets years of card text, Yugioh would have to do the same. Otherwise, outside of Rush Duel which is also a very different game, I think Yugiohs decline will simply continue, especially when they are trying to ban game mats and accessories from the community. Konami just doesn't know what to do with its card game.
How does snake eyes not being in the format affect the rest of the decks? Planning on getting 2 to 3 to play with a friend so we wanna try to get similar power decks that don't counter each other that much (anti graveyard and graveyard deck, or just one deck being a lot stronger).
I REALLY wish YuGiOh/Konami would’ve hit the brakes right around 2014. There’s just a certain level of complexity where things become not fun, but stressful. lol
Wow, Its been a year out and he called out everything that was going to happen besides digimon being the preferred tcg for bandai. I think that one piece is the preferred card for bandai because of the sales it has both in the west and japan. but he was right for most of what was going to happen
I had my own Artorigus Deck with Merlin and Morgana, funny to play but hard against meta decks. The decks you present here are very interesting and now that Camelot and Charles are in Master Duel I will give it a try. Your video and passion for this deck is awesome!
as long as hand looping exist maxx C will live on, additionally a somple erreta can be yes you can draw cards, but must at the end of turn banish cards face down from your hand untill 5 are left.
You absolutely earned a new subscriber this is my go to yugioh channel now. What really annoys me about other channels (Dark armed Lazy Duelist specifically*** because he was actually rude to the people giving advice) I literally commented explaining that me and many others cannot read the cards or hear what card names you say because you mumble the whole video and the cards are all blurry and far away,, impossible to read.. I asked if he could simply put a deck list in the description or overlay the names of the cards on the videos so people can see, This was his word for word response “I’m not gonna do that I can’t be spoon feeding players just because people don’t listen” Like wtf??!! Like guy I JUST EXPLAINED THAT PEOPLE CANT HEAR YOU WITH YOUR MUMBLING ASS VOICE just totally out of touch and I completely blocked that channel from recommended and reported his comment for harassment as well as his videos for being spam/misleading But I totally respect and thank you for The way you’ve went out of your way to not only overlay the names of the cards on the video but ALSO THE CURRENT PRICES!! as well as how the deck shakes out in the current meta, totally awesome man this is where I’l be getting all my deck content from now on
Average modern Yugioh player mindset 🤧 *opponent can’t even play the game and sits there watching* @prest-seto: “Wow this is so exciting! Aren’t you having so much fun?!” Like No actually I prefer NOT to play that kind of garbage thank you very much because I actually want to play a game, with an actual person to play with not just a spectator there to watch my combos… if I wanted to just draw 5 and play my entire deck without interruptions I would just play solotaire… But you sweaty players can’t even do that, you can’t enjoy the game unless you force someone to sit there and watch you win right? Then its fun? (But of course only if you win though if someone hand traps you then it’s not fun and suddenly “yugioh is so broken the meta sucks”)
My biggest issue is that, yes, the speed is fascinating, yes, the game is changing, but by GOD have the aesthetics of the game taken a plummet. I've given it the monicker "Overtuned Waifu Syndrome" where the most powerful decks will revolve around generic anime character designs that don't even look like Yu-Gi-Oh Cards anymore. It makes it unappealing to play the game wanting to wield Bizarre creatures, powerful machines, and Comic-Book style characters with artwork that tried to reflect the original style of Kazuki Takahashi - only to be given Schoolgirls, Lolis, and VTubers. I get it's an anime game, but there was always a uniqueness to the designs in YuGiOh. Sharp, rough edges and spikes, weird curves and bizarre, but unique outfits. If they get around to making something like that, it always winds up being another Retrained Dark Magician or Blue Eyes. We don't see anything new. However, with the recent releases of Illusions and Mementos, I'm glad to see there are still some people who are making Yu-Gi-Oh cards that feel like Yu-Gi-Oh cards... Just a shame they're not considered competitive.
The only depressing thing about the existence of the second card is it implies they're never going to unban Maxx C. Every list, I have held out hope that they're going to bring Maxx C back so I can relish in the salt of the competitive player base, but it doesn't appear that will be the case if they're releasing a retrained, weaker version.
The best deck in history is what ever deck yugi has at the time. Some say it has every card known to man and he just draws the cards he needs to win every time
loved Duel Masters as a kid, and then it suddenly died (outside Japan). just learnt about Vanguard and binge-watched the 2011 anime, and it's been dying for years and shows no signs of recovering. or has something changed in the past year-and-a-half?
I played DBSCG Master back during covid, and it was the most fun I've ever had in a card game. I loved it so much I didn't sell my Secret Rare when it was $600. Sure there was some broken stuff like Shugesh-Explosive Goku, but my biggest issue was with Bandai entirely. They didn't ship out promos for events, and had no incentive to compete. When they announced this game, I dismissed it as a fixed DBSCG. Then they released DBSCG again as Fusion World. There is no doubt in my mind that Bandai is going to shoot themselves in the foot later down the road. One Piece is insanely popular, but at $70 at my lgs a deck for the Three Brothers, that doesn't come with a full playset... thats scummy. The collectibility is good. The fact that I can't buy a pack (of 12 cards!) for less than $20 is not. Side not: the fact that they are banning cards because of their trigger effects is absolutely hilarious.
Heya i know not really related to this video but i was wondering if part 2 of your force of will history video will still happen eventually? Really enjoyed the first part
