LoL he's hilarious ... for a day or two you should replace him on his channel & let him do an interview with someone on your channel 😂 .. That'd be awesome and hilarious
It is, i have a hard time recognizing people outside their job. Seeing them shopping for tomatoes in normal close while normally theyr covered in filth and swearing god knows what..
I’ve ever only seen Dr. Mike in his joke/ relaxed casual setting. When a set is happening he’s completely different, locked in, serious, very pushing and great at explaining/ planning and I’m all for it. Just how you should be
Dr. Mike talking about trying to calm before a set is the exact same thing that free divers do before inhaling deeply and going for crazy depths. That mental calmness is what you need when your body is telling you you need air but you've committed yourself to being underwater.
@@juliomireloal6379 @victorkreig6089 I believe it is safe to say, if Cliff Diving think Free Divers are crazy and Free Divers think Cliff Divers are crazy, both of you are probably crazy.
That's not class, his ego is out of this world, yet neglected because nobody knows him except people who watch Greg Deucette. Probably the first person to ever ask for his signature.
@@DMX2050 I knew dr. mike way before i discovered greg. I wouldn't know Greg without Dr. Mike. I'd rather stick to the guy that isn't a snake oil salesman.

This vid is a great breath of fresh air. I don't think I'd want ones like this too often but I really enjoy the stripped back vibe, chatting the breeze, loud music in the background.
This is the FIRST video of this sort I've ever watched from start to finish... And it's especially long, though it didn't feel like it. I suggest you two get your asses in gear and make more videos like this one, preferably from this venue. DO IT, or don't.
Something perfect about Mikes dissertation on dating & relationships in a gym absolutely overflowing with sexual tension, think nearly every dude was shirtless & all the girls have painted on clothes. Wild.
There are two important timestamps in this video: 1) 22:30 where Dr. Mike explains how he met Crystal, and 2) at 27:50 where Dr. Mike talks about courtship and game. I think the second one needs to be clipped as a separate video itself.
I was definitely born 25-30 years too late. The info available on weight training today is way more useful than most of the junk that I've had easy access to up until about 7 or 8 years ago.
It's much the same info when you read between the lines and filter out all the misinformation out there. Ultimately though the only information that really counts is that you learn yourself in your own training over time
Hats off to the cameraman. The a@@ in here is like a scenery chewing villain that’s always bombing into frame. Some of the depth of field shifts are amazing 😂
I have found the same over the years. where mike talks about music in the gym etc and getting hyped up for sets etc. I prefer no music and go into each set with a calmness, clarity and focus which enables me to hit peak intensity at will
Good you deliver content outside the studio as well. Gym-videos are much appreciated. Great that besides hosting oeople in your podcast you find time to lift. Seems a solid (to say the least) gym. Perhaps even much more above that. Should go and experience it myself. Hopefully it will happen in future. Amongst very many gyms where would like to hit a session. Keep doing what you do, Chris! Cybex smith is the best smith machine because it's vertical and actually goes all the way down to the ground. So perfect for chest, squats, and deads. It's platform is also small compared to most smith machines.
Loved the relationships talk and dating/love advice from Mike. Y’all should sit down and dive deeper on that for a podcast since you’ve already checked the box on the fitness stuff. Mike is full of wisdom and honest raw truth 💪🏼
The gym in my apartment building is generally me lifting and a 60 year old Vietnamese woman running on the elliptical. The amount of naked dudes wearing sunglasses and chicks in yoga shorts while blasting Kanye feels like another dimension to me lmao
Great episode Chris, hearing Mike talk about his experience with dating (30:12) and then describing the damn near exact scenario that I'm in at (34:22) gave a good reminder that I have got much more work to do, thankfully I'm only 21 so i have the time to get to there.
as a vocal coach, hearinng Dr. Mike's voice outside the studio almost sounded like a completely different person. I always tell my clients that there is a thing called PODCAST/STUDIO voice where the voice will sit very low in the range, almost in between our vocal fry and chest register and hearing Mike speaking in the mid 3rd octave sounds pretty cool. Almost as if he sings!!!!
Other guy is right about noise cancellation and all that, I think more than that though is it’s apparently loud as fuck in there so Mike and Chris basically have to scream to communicate
It's great to see little people like Dr. Mike (I despise when they're called midgets or dwarves) being out in public and so accepted by everyone! Truly gives me hope for humanity.
This guys are so dedicated to the craft, that when I watching their workout, every once in a while I gotta remind myself to relax and stop clenching my jaws.
I loved the conversation. My experiences are lot like Mike's. I think he tries to hide it but these are painful experienced that teach us these hard lessons.
My thoughts were the same. When he said it was his favorite place to workout I think he just meant his favorite place to pick up tail. That's a meat market.
That Gym looks pretty legit equipment wise! Mike is awesome , puts out great content workout related & is absolutely hilarious! Def someone id like to train with for a week to see how his routine act is / get in person tips etc! Should swap roles for a day, let him do an interview on your channel/podcast and you review some celebrities workouts etc on his channel for the day!

Great tragicomedy! Two guys find this great place with incredible fecundity and amazing machines. Instead of working the soil, sowing their seeds, and doing all the hard work that comes with farming, they only use those machines for the sole purpose of making themselves *look* like they'd been doing the hard farm work, thereby leaving the fertile soil to lie fallow.
As far as the intelligence discussion around 28:00. I think both guys and girls do value intelligence in the other, but it's complicated. Of course physical attraction is important too. That and confidence, and conversation ability is often enough to get someone into bed. But for long term, especially if they want to have kids, after the one night stand is over I think people do value intelligence. Of course, it's more than just being a socially inept nerd who can talk about the technical details of a particular field. But people want to be with someone who is on their level, and can have deep, thoughtful and nuanced conversation on a variety of topics. I think for women in particular, they want to "marry up" and provide stability, so in the long run I think an attractive woman is more likely to end up with an intelligent guy who is successful in his career but average in looks, than a "dumb jock" who is good looking and confident but has no goals or long term career prospects. I think it's a little different for guys, but I think they also value intelligence on about the same level that they are, but aren't looking for her to be financially successful. Of course looks are important, but after enough relationships I think most realize it's probably more important to find someone agreeable and easy to get along with than someone who is just "hot." And maybe I'm a little different from most guys, but one thing that I was really attracted to in my wife early on is that she is very kind and compassionate to people, and sticks up for the disadvantaged.
Typical Mike completely ignoring that there are many different types of intelligence. You only have to look up "Nobel Disease" to realise that even the people awarded for the most brilliant scientific work can be dangerously stupid outside their fields of expertise. Social intelligence is certainly a thing, and I think it's quite related to humour - and this is something that people tend to find attractive rather than "test scores".
The amount of editing you guys did is impressive. You must have had to cut out sooooooo much video because of where you were looking. I am assuming you were staring out in to that gorgeous day.
Dr. Mike is totally bang-on with the max effort on first set, that's how I do it as well, you need PEAK CNS so you can push your weights and intensity up from session to session, coasting will net you nothing.
