They’re my fav band so I’m biased, but I’ll try to be objective. I never was too into them until A Different Shade of Blue, and once I heard that album I fell in love. I’m one to say his vocals were a bit rough on the ears at first. However, I’ve come to appreciate and love the music and his vocals. Especially recently. This EP?? Lord….. I’m deceased. This is so good. It’s creative, innovative, sticks to the theme…it’s a masterpiece. I hope they’re in the hall of fame or whatever equivalent; a Grammy! They deserve it. I’m floored. I don’t wanna say they blew my expectations out of the water and be disrespectful, but damn… this is top notch Next Level hardcore. They set the new standard. The writing and music is phenomenal but the claymation and music MOVIE??? BRUH. That’s so fucking insanely amazing?!? The talent, the creativity, the out of the box thinking. It’s been hard to listen to the EP by itself without imagining the video or feeling it’s half undone without watching it as I’m hearing it. They managed to tether media’s and make it natural. Again, I’m floored. They deserve the world and so many accolades 😭
Part of this is the GODLY production of WILL PUTNEY. And he is usually connected to DeathCore Bands (ThyArtisMurder, Fit for an Autopsy, END and others) thats why Knocked Loose sounds to the regular deathcore listener like a mix out of Punk Vocals and prog. deathcore instrumentals.
Knocked Loose hits me harder emotionally than any other band. I'm not sure if it's the raw aggression/pain in his voice or the lyrical content, but christ...Permanent broke me. Sit & Mourn is my favorite from the new album. They can make bangers in 2-3 minute formats any day of the week, but I feel it's the longer songs that really show the creativity of this band. It's almost a shame their albums are so short. Amazing EP. Great reaction!
7/5 I usually play KL about 3 times total per year. This ep I’ve listen to for about 4 weeks straight and it’s not getting old or repetitive. This is a masterpiece
Killer fucking EP. I've sat through and watched it maybe 4 times since yesterday. Maybe someone can educate me, is this something Bryan has personally gone through? I only ask because there are so many damn references to a situation like this story in ADSOB. Thinking about songs like Guided by the moon, Road 23, Trapped in the Grasp of a Memory, Denied by fate all screams of struggling to deal with loss, and he also did state that this EP ended up personal. I know it's not really my business, but I can't help but wonder.
I listen to ADSOB on repeat still as well as this EP. I had Road 23 on yesterday and thought myself how well the album & EP seem to relate to each other. I think the album was ahead of it’s time tbh. If it came out now instead of 2019 people would’ve liked it more I think
