One thing I have always appreciated about Ms. Rashad is how at ease she is with herself. I aspire to that myself. I also think she's so great at her craft, in part, because of how thoughtful and observant she is.

The grace that this lady carries is amazing. She’s has such poise and posture. She speaks in such an eloquent way. You can always feel the power and forceful strength in what she says. How she speaks is so expressive, persuasive, strong, fluent, potent, and articulate. She is such a great example for children like me. She is such a great influence for girls who may be just like her. I relate to her so much. I believe we are literally the same. I know who I am whether or not anybody else does. I am very blessed to even have the knowledge to understand the significance in what she’s saying. What she is saying is sooooo powerful. Some kids just aren’t smart enough to understand. Her intelligence and knowledge of self shall never be underrated. She is giving me an example on how I’m going to be or what I want to be when I’m her age. She is what I think a queen would look like. But anyways Love you Auntie Lish❤️❤️

Totally enjoyed this interview. What an awesome match up of Ms. Rashad and Ms. Kelechi Watson. Loved their pairing on This Is Us. Physicians Rashad is an artist in the truest sense of the word. She is stellar!!! Love her!!!

I love what she said at 47:43 about Madeline Kahn. I know the show Cosby with Madeline Kahn was nowhere near as popular as The Cosby Show but I bet for Phylicia it gave her something the Cosby Show didn't. On the Cosby show Phylicia had countless scenes with sitcom kids. That was all well and good but none of those Cosby kids had a fraction of the skill Madeline did. From her years on tv, by far the two most talented people she worked with were Bill Cosby and Madeline Kahn. Regardless of Bill Cosby's scandals I believe it when Phylicia says how great he was to work with.

Kris Edwards Yaasss, just imagine her doing that closet/car burning scene. She would’ve killed that. It could’ve been her or the Loretta Devine character.

Wow, you all did that. I didn’t expect to be taken on a spontaneous stillness tour through Japan and back to the states again. This whole episode felt redemptive and inspiring to lover of stories within we as a species. Big hugs 2U4U hostess for how you handled this interview and to infinite possibilities we know as Miss Phylicia Rashad w/ cookie jar and the upcoming film makers encouraged by her vision to stay open, wholly present & collaborative.

Most people seem to have so much adoration for her, myself included. I wonder why three unsuccessful marriages. She touched on it in one other interview I’d seen about the first one not believing in her, not celebrating her talent and intellect. I wonder if men feel intimidated by her; threatened by her; feel she’s arrogant, not humbled or what. And I ask this as a divorcee myself, who is also an AKA…so absolutely no disrespect. Just curious why marriage, the concept of it or otherwise, didn’t work for her.

Strode ignorance is bliss . You can’t speak for others only self . I ask this question do you love self ? If you love 💕 self you can love others . Love lives in my world not hate . We have an old time God yes he is ,he is teaching us now from Feb . 2020 to this point we his children need to start loving one another focus on the number of children that were kidnapped into sex trafficking , numbered of babies that have been aborted , and organ harvesting . Your negative comment told a lot of your self worth . Sometimes silence is golden . To God be the glory .

This interviewer is not truly listening. She is so overwhelmed by the person who is interviewing. YM

“Interviewer??” umm that is Susan Kelechi Watson... she far from just an interviewer. They play mother & daughter on “this is us”...she was also her acting student back when Phylicia was teaching a master class at Howard.. they’re basically good friends. Lol
