One of the most influential mans of the gaming industry giving his words of wisdom to all current and future prospects. Fans, developers, and most importantly, PUBLISHERS, listen to this video and its message. For truer words have not been spoken in almost 15+ years.

I respect Inafune so much. This interview shows how good of a person he is and how awesome of a game developer he is. His words were filled with so much wisdom and intelligence. I hope to be like him when I get to be his age. Life's too short; enjoy it while it lasts.

Thank you so much for making these videos. They're so insightful. I have always had a tremendous respect for Keiji Inafune. Alongside Shigeru Miyamoto, Eiji Aonuma, Hideki Kamiya, Inafune-san is one of my all-time favorite game developers. What a guy! Always struck me as a fundamentally good man too, in addition to being so skilled and creative. As a $250 tier backer, from the bottom of my heart , thank you so much for keeping my childhood alive.

An Inspiring interview from a great man...so many truths, so much compassion. I'm happy that there are few good people out there which will one day hopefully lead to more following these great examples.

I'm looking forward to this project so much. I just know it's going to be great with so many talented individuals working on it. I find the approach in the game, as well as in the production exciting. I've always wanted to create things, but I do not seem to have any inborn talents, and taking classes does not provide enough of a basis for me. I feel I can never get good at something before the next class arrives. Keiji is inspiring. One day, I too will create something wonderful!

This interview should be used as a testament on how companies should run.

Your words made me salute you (with a Mighty No. 9) salute FIVE times throughout this video, Inafune-sensei. We hope that your efforts will continue to inspire the next generation of game programmers, regardless of the size of the companies they make. If even a small team can pull off something good, that does indeed provide hope for the future.

Thank you for that amazing interview. I got the chance to work with Japanese game programmer in the past, but as we were third-party company coop. I could not exchange too much about their view of the industry. I am proud to be backer of this project and hope that the development team will have the fun they deserve! And who know... maybe one day we will see a sequel of Mighty No 9!

I'm so glad this has subtitles and not a voice over.

Yep, I thought I'd get a video that was more about aiding the pitch, but it's a fairly well and honest description of what creators think. May be a bit disappointing to some, but it is actually refreshing.

When MegaMan Zero 1 & 2 were released, they really made me rethink the formula and I realized there was far more room for evolution in Mega Man than the last two series suggested.. Im glad Inafune managed to get some of the developers at Inticreates to help him with this project. Cant wait to see more progression in Jump and Shoot style platformers.

given the video was likely designed for viewing primarily through embedding and other platforms, hardsubs ensure a consistent viewing experience across devices and platforms.

The stuff he says about designing a game nowadays... I really wish more game companies thought like he does.

+SonicSanctuary well we just might. Inafune knows what he's got going for him. he's gonna use that to his advantage. and his advantage is us. the fans. he is free to actually listen to us and make both his workers and fans happy with their work. If our pal Keiji keeps this up, we just might have ourselves a golden age my friend.

We really do. Imagine if there were more like him in Capcom.... Maybe they wouldn't be failing so hard right now. Not just in a personal sense, but in a financial sense... Every move nowadays seems to be the wrong one.

"com-cept" sounds like the reverse of "cap-com" which originally stood for "capsule-computers"

So much faith for the videogame. Good luck Inafune, you will success with your team and THE FANS! Sad to see Capcom doesnt care for megaman (specially for the Tokyo game show 2013, nothing except....XoverB ;_____; ) But need to wait 2015, good luck! :D

awesome interview, very indepth, something that is totally missing from today's gaming press' interviews... one thing tho: creatives vs the suits is the same here in the west too inafune - i always thought u guys had way more freedom, i mean it's still tough to get anything other than an fps out here funded by a major publisher... i guess the grass is always greener tho...
