A conversation with my hero Billy Mills 

When I was looking for a positive role model growing up, I have always looked to Olympic gold medalist @billymills10k for inspiration. I would often tell people I wanted to go to the Olympics just like him. Although life had a different path for me, his spirit and accomplishments opened my eyes to amazing possibilities in life - especially as someone who grew up on a reservation. Billy’s legacy has touched me and our community for many years and inspires Native kids to dream big. It’s a dream come true to have had the opportunity to combine our voices to talk about overcoming adversity and the courage it takes to become a champion, even through the toughest times. Billy has made his mark on the world, especially by giving back through his organization @RunningStrong4AIY We hope to inspire others to come together and #LeadWithLove, just like Billy’s story has inspired me to connect with you all.
