I can relate to what you are going through as my mom had a fight with horrible affliction! I can only hope your aunt will find her way back to good memories of her childhood. You may even want to start a conversation with this in hopes of triggering them for her. With my mom, it was memories of her going out trapping with her parents. I would often say please tell me about going out trapping and away she would go with a smile on her as if she were there again. Head dressed dancing too we had witnessed together every year also would take her to a place of peace and happiness. Eating corn bread, whatever you find from her talking about that was good. If she ever gets bad ones, again, steer her by using this trick. It may cause you a touch of pain since they will not remember as their relative doing this, but it so worth it to be called "the nice lady" to see her face light up and her big smile.
