Woodstock Cat fell in love when i was 13 i thought they were all so cute n fly, i felt like a badass listening to them. i've never loved a band more & probably never will.
I know this comment was made 4 years ago but yea, thats the essency of the strokes, someone in the band or someone of the editing crew really likes vhs's and retro vibes.
Crazy how Fab recognized that dude from the subway. Even crazier that the met again in this interview. Well I guess it's not so crazy if dude is in the music industry.
they never age, except Julian, he looks like he's maybe aged the most. Albert actually looks better now then when he was younger, which i'm sure has to do with him getting sober.
I've been listening to the Strokes since Is This It but I haven't seen many group interviews like this one. It's funny how get a glimpse of their personnality. I always thought Nikolai as the introverted one and Julian as outspoken. Seems the other way around.
I happened to be watching The Strokes In Transit yesterday and you guys haven't changed in 15 years. Idk why that makes me so fucking happy. Thank you for the EP but please give us a full album by the end of the year.
they said they were back in the studio and that was last year in september, we got this amazing EP few months ago, i hope for this album to come around november 2016 - february 2017
Please, The Strokes come to Malaysia. You wont be disappointed, you have thousands of fans here. Believe me, every single indie band that comes out here (there's a lot of them, quite a few of them are successful) were influenced by you guys. We love you guys here. We had Tame Impala about two months ago and the atmosphere was nuts, if you guys come then it would be crazier than anything we had before.
@@eskenny5541 yes please. it seems like every artist forget about southeast asia and its just really sad. i hope they go to philippines and have a concert atleast once here :(
Parecen como cinco hermanos que eligieron cinco vidas diferentes (se plasma en las bandas que formó cada uno) pero cada tanto les gusta volver a verse.
That’s one of the best things to watch or better - experience, the chat with couple of witty, funny and cool guys (girls also). They remind me a lot my 4 ex good friends from high school, spending time with them was one of the best times in my life, every time we have met was always same. Hope we will return together one day
The Strokes, easily my personal favorite band and at least one of the best bands of the 2000's, is making a new single very soon. I have no words for this, as I am absolutely psyched to know they are still together, and that they are continuing to make excellent and diverse music! In musical history, very few bands are able to survive, keep the same sort of energy or flow in their music and here The Strokes are again; 15 years later, still a band, still performing, still thinking of keeping alive. And it is very hard for bands like The Strokes to carry on that Post-Punk Revival style today, because the world's music culture is even more accessible and diverse, and I find this even more amazing that they still have a loyal, energetic and nostalgic fan base supporting them since 2001. Long live The Strokes!!!!!!!!!!
They have had this attitude with interviews since they began, look at the 2006 interview with them. I don't get why people say they look so unhappy... I think it's just the way they are lol
Tbh i dont see any problems between them. Its obvious they had issues in the past, but it looks like theyve put those issues behind them. Theyre still pretty goofy around each other, maybe not like how they were before but then again theyre all in their mid-late 30s now so its understandable. Most importantly, theyre settling in and look like theyre having fun around each other.
I think It's probably because big artists don't come to Brazil very often. When they come it's only for a couple concerts and sometimes it takes years for them to come back.
These guys are stellar. I have great memories living in NY and being a Strokes fan. Got to hang out with Fab, he's so doen to earth. Such a great memory, it wasn't like hanging with a celeb more like an old friend. Freaking love The Strokes!
The strokes are the first band ive seen to go so fucking off topic on the 3 albums question.. most people ive seen in interviews who get asked that just state their favorite albums but albert and nick had to bring up that weird debate and make me laugh so hard it hurt. Also im so glad nick re-asked fab after they went off topic bc fab really did look like he wanted to answer the question genuinely before albert spoke up😭😭 I love every member of this band so much its disgusting
I saw that 4 songs in the web site of cult records and all i can say is, oblivius is really a masterpiece and some parts of the song reminded me the tyranny album of jules with voidz but then it turned out the strokes tunes we missed im so happy
