The cologne v6 engines are strong units, but not easy to get power out of due to the siamese exhaust ports...we have a mk1 xr4x4 which is the same engine, 120k engines never been apart, the compressions are still within tolerance for factory spec, probably because oils been changed with fully synthetic every 2/3k miles for the past 30 years that we have owned it for.
The Capri is a gorgeous example. Someone has got a great car there, although it probably won’t be used. You do get some great vehicles through your workshop. Could hardly call it work really, when it’s more of a passion. 👍
Hi Paul and Steve, wow that Capri is beyond clean no wonder it sold instantly. Some lovely cars with you atm, but sounds like your running out of space (nice problem) to have. Great video update guy's. Alex.
The Capri is nice. Makes me kick myself for not buying a mint 1986 2.8 Injection Special in Gunmetal Grey metallic with grey half leather Recaro interior and 56k miles in 1996 for £4k. I thought it was too expensive. D'oh!
How many times do we feel like slapping ourself round the face with a wet fish after letting these cars slip through our fingers mate ,, we have all done it
