Ever walked up to a stranger at a party, a networking event, or just a new acquaintance and wanted to make sure they left the conversation with a positive impression?
Robin Dreeke, a Naval Academy graduate, former Marine, former head of a federal behavioral analysis program, a current FBI agent, and coauthor of "The Code of Trust" shared three strategies with Business Insider to connect with anyone, anywhere.

Thanks ! Three keys of Human Intelligence are : 1)Asking Question 2)Active listening in a non-Judegmental way. 3)Decoding behaviour.

Asking questions in a non-judgemental way is a basic skill far too many people lack today.

Sebastian. Dominguez that is a sure way to end any relationship, either it be a friendship or romantic one. "haha" or "lol" shows the individual that there is a lack of interest. But it also depends on what kind of question is being asked? An individual needs to ask a question that will stimulate conversation not, "You like cheese?"

+kataisa3: Moderation in all things. True, showing interest in others is a good social skill and a decent thing to do. Just don't do it too much or you'll make others suspicious or even creep them out. Do this to excess (esp. if you reveal little to nothing about yourself) and most people will get suspicious.

How to approach someone in conversation? ....Let me see ...opening statement : "I couldn't help noticing" ..after a friendly, short greeting.e.g. "How's you're day going?" ( implied interest )

So, with this elicitation of information, what occurs when another Counterintelligence Special Agent - decrypts, decodes, and decides the 'elicitor' - is either of no value and / or boring? This kind of reminds me of a scene from the movie - 'Hitch' with Will Smith. Many with similar training, step off into organizations like Halliburton etc - and cascade these types of MO tactics. I see this used repetitively with Six Sigma Black Belts in 'tuff' supplier dials. It reminds me of Interrogators, who practice pre-reHEARSEd 'SKITZ' with friends. Nice video for the layman. #97B20Transition

i was looking for the movie counterintelligence.. but still i got a tip tho! if someone is to confident ask for their opinion and then keep asking simple things about their opinion (in a way that you don't agree with it), this will ussually result in them feeling really akward because they know that opinions are not based on facts and its hard to defend them. this will shatter anyone's feelings... trust me

Most Americans are horrible at active listening. They come from a Me mindset so they like to talk about Me a lot. It's frankly off putting. It's a rare American who listens actively to understand the Other. I knew a CIA officer lady who was like that and I married her. It's the best thing to happen to this UK naval commander.,

Doesn't mean there isn't value that can be gained. In fact I can see elements of this in how the far-right is controlling elements of their base. They didn't just tell them "Biden stole the election", They bring up "irregularities" and ask their base to fill in the dots. It makes them feel like they know what is really going on. Ingenious really. But just classic.
