A PB for me at this STUNNING Bristol Channel Sea Fishing spot. This is one of my favourite South Wales Fishing marks, I have been visiting it for years and I have accumulated many great memories. Many of the Severn Estuary Sea Fishing areas are soothing, the wildlife and nature is second to none and there's always something to see, it doesn't get much better when it comes to supporting mental health. This particular spot is good for Bass, Conger Eels, Thornback Ray and Flounder. During the winter months, Cod can also make an appearance.

Gareth, have to say how much I love your films, as these aren't merely videos, they're works of art, obviously crafted with fantastic use of music, great camerawork, a nice bit of fishing and of course your relaxing accent and enthusiasm. Gareth….. these are great videos. I came across them by chance and you have re-ignited my love of sea fishing after near 50 years leaving my childhood in Plymouth. Ive started to go with my two grown up lads. We don’t catch much but we are getting better ! But it’s the time we are having together that is food for the soul. Thank you and please keep going 👍👍

Another great video Gareth, awesome eel and defo about the 20lb mark. Fish was a present from dad after saying your rebuilding the cheapy old boat rod that you both have loved using. Thank you Marc, appreciated as always. Yes you could be right there, it could well have been a gift from dad. Strange as it didn't fight like a conger and I was sure it was a big thornback. Yeh I do like a good conger or 2 myself just got a VMO order of new line, leader and hooks so got to get out there. When I first seen the strike and the initial fight I thought a good eel then as it went on I then thought a huge thorny to be fair but well done mate great eel only had the one double off the beach but it was 20lb 10 so not to have 😂😂

Glorious footage Gareth and congratulations on a fabulous fish. Really needed that video Gareth. My wife and I( she has recovered well from her stroke )had to rush over to Bristol from Ireland. Our new and only granddaughter decided to enter the world at just 25 weeks and weighing just a pound and a half. She is doing well thank goodness but so tiny. Your video has helped me get my mind together again , you are a blessing mate.

Thank you Einsley, it was a great day in fairness. It's a beautiful place, there's always something to see and the wildlife is quite special. The congers like it there, there must be a food source for them. The guys who work in the docks nearby have spotted some monsters, 30lbs plus. Some nice Bass can also make an appearance, usually from late April onwards. Hope all is good with you bud, have a good weekend 👍

This is such a good video this time. Great photography, beautiful scenery. You mentioning about fixing up dad’s cheapy old boat rod makes me wish there was a video of you doing that. I’m sure your camera work and the way you express yourself would make as good a watch as Twoodfrd’s guitar videos.

Things went well on this occasion, the weather behaved and I was able to get some nice scenery footage etc. Yes I'd need to work out the right camera settings for filming the rebuilding of the cheapy old boat rod and the lighting would need to be right. I'm sat watching your posts on you tube thinking how much I used to enjoy fishing the beaches of the north east with the home made monapod my father made me while he worked at British steelmy biggest from the beach was a twelve pound cod but I'm neatly 70 now so can't do it anymore just enjoy watching your posts

Fishing the north sea we needed to wait till we had heavy frost on the ground before that would be a waste as soon as we cast out as the crabs would pick your hooks clean within minutes

I,m new to sea fishing but not to fishing been at it 50 years thanks for your videos I,ve learnt so much usually fish the English side of the Brizzle Channel however Newport is now firmly on the radar. Once again thanks for the videos that conger was a beast great camera work keep them coming 👍
