Hi and thank you for taking the time to check out my RU-vid channel. My name is Gareth and I live next to the Afon Llwyd River, South East Wales (UK)
This channel is an insight into the subjects I'm passionate about, such as fishing, juicing, natural healing etc and I hope to share my knowledge with you all, hopefully having some fun and banter along the way.
If you have any questions about any of my videos, please do not hesitate to contact me...you can be sure of a quick and friendly response.
Got to say I absolutely love your videos thank you so much for your efforts. Just recently taken back up fishing and thoroughly enjoying it. Would love to see how you prepare your bait and attach to your hooks. Going to Rhossili next weekend to try my luck. Lucky to be living in mumbles so just 20 minutes. Thank you again. 😊
Thank you Michael, much appreciated, glad you're enjoying the videos. Good luck down at Rhossili next weekend, lovely part of the world, shame I live so far away. Cheers 👍
Thank you Andrew, much appreciated. Yes, your grandad was right, they certainly do taste good...Dad and I used to keep a few for the pan back in the day. Cheers 👍
Love this channel. I don’t know what I like best. The calming chat from Gareth or the fishing. Living in Cardiff, I’m definitely gonna try some of these marks out
Hi Gareth, love your videos, keep it up mate, i am a Newport boy, considering taking fishing up again, had my gear stolen many years ago, miss it dearly
Thank you Geraint, I appreciate it, hopefully more to come soon. Yes I bet you were gutted when your gear got stolen, not a nice thing at all. Good luck with your fishing comeback, tight lines! 👍
Never had any luck on the two occasions I fished ,daytime and hot ,not good for me tenby ,god ppl bad ppl for sure bad ppl ave me not any msm or read newspaper ,depressing ,ty gareth angling therapist for sure ,mark cdf x
Ah yes, not ideal conditions I guess. I've always had more luck down at Tenby during the night, I guess that's because the water is clear. Aye that's it, the news certainly is depressing, constant doom and gloom, where will it all end. Thank you Mark, take it easy 👍
I am the mental health champion for our company so I understand people that struggles a bit with it. Keep going every one and as Gareth says "Happy Days"!!
Yes indeed, life can be challenging at times, it can beat you to a pulp. Well done on being the mental health champion for your company, it all helps 👍
Hey Gareth I wonder if you are loosing the fish because you loose tension when walking down the rocks to words the shore line. Food for thought!! Thanks for sharing!
very much enjoying your videos keep them coming! We all miss are own my friend! Just keep positive and doing what you do it may help many people around!
Thank you, glad you're enjoying them. It seems that many people relate to what I talk about, which is good. Always good to keep those memories alive. Cheers 👍
Fantastic things you have said in this vid butty and brilliant watch as always well done gutter you lost that big one and to that boy being bullied stay strong and keep it real 💪
Thank you Darren, appreciated as always. I do like Tenby and if I lived closer I'd fish it more often, some nice marks in fairness. Hope all is good with you, cheers for watching 👍
Hi there Gareth lad, just found your channel and guess where we are.Yep we're in Anglesey for a few days before heading to yep Tenby on Saturday hope to wet aline or two maybe see you there.Thank you for the informative and inspirational words, and Gareth don't let the buggers get to you all the best lad tight lines Jeff look out for the motorhome with an Indians head on the side,Lol
Thank you Jeff, I appreciate it. Hope you have a nice time down in Tenby, a bit of line wetting will be good! If I lived closer I'd fish there a lot more, it's a 5 hour round trip for me, although I'll hopefully give the North Beach a crack later this year as that's another Tenby mark that I enjoy fishing. Cheers and tight lines 👍
Nice one Gareth you ok pal. Your right there is some cracking people out there and alot of them are from the sea angling community. All the best matey from G.Y
Thank you Carl, appreciated as always. Yes it's nice to know that there's still a few good people in the world! I'm good thanks mate, hope all is ok with you! Greetings to Grimsby 👍
Thank you Maurizio, appreciated as always. Yes it was good to meet John, it was an enjoyable evening and I remember it very well. Ah the old days...they were the best days, something different about them, more simple, less complicated. Cheers as always 👍
Great videos Gareth, love the mind full moments, its what fishing is all about. As you might guess, I love fishing for mullet, and there are no videos about catching Bristol Channel mullet that I can find. I fish Devon's clear waters, and would love to see how you would tackle them 👍
Thank you Steve, much appreciated, I'm pleased you've been enjoying the videos. Yes I just enjoy being out there, spending a few hours next to the water, any fish that turn up are a bonus. I sometimes fish for Mullet locally, although they're not easy to catch in the coloured water. I might do a Mullet video at some point, could be on the cards. Cheers 👍
Thank you William, appreciated as always. Yes it was a nice weekend down in Tenby, lovely place in fairness. I'll hopefully give the North beach a go later this year...I'll get Dad to arrange some good fish!! Take care 👍
Nice one gareth ,me and the mrs love tenby but i`ve never taken the rods with me after watching this video the next time we go down there it`ll be the rods i pack first. Glad you had some fish though even if you had a shed load of doggies tight lines buddy.
Thank you Del. Ah yes, give the fishing a go the next time you visit Tenby. I do like it down there, I've caught a number of species off those rocks over the years, particularly from dusk onwards...wished I lived closer, I'd be down there all the time ha! Cheers as always, tight lines 👍
A hound on the feathers...now that has to be a first 😂. I do like Tenby, wished I lived a little closer, I'd fish it regularly! Thank you Sion, appreciated as always 👍

The great thing about your videos is that even when you blank, it's still entertaining. I also watch the Fish Locker, where the man keeps banging out specimen fish all day long, fish most of us spend our lives dreaming about, but yours is closer to reality. I too have spent hundreds of hours cold and damp on Welsh beaches staring at an unrepsonsive beachcaster tip, or pulling in crabs or clumps of weed, so I know the score. Those shots of the landscape and sky and little details make this channel special. Perhaps you could go further afield sometimes in Wales...maybe to one of those gorgeous estuaries on the west coast?
Thank you Colin, much appreciated. I try to keep it real, showing the good and the bad, hence the blanks on my channel ha! I can't rely on the fish so much these days as there's not so many about and therefore I tend to focus on the deeper side of angling (I caught more fish when I was 10 than I do now). I'd love to fish West Wales more often, although most of those marks is a 5 to 6 hour round trip for me and with working full-time etc I don't get many chances to head that way. I was down in Tenby last weekend, not sure if you've seen that one. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Cheapy old boat rod is the best weapon you got Boi Bach lol. …. To be honest I think we all overcasting the fish anyway they’re a lot more close in than you think. x
@@riversidewithme no worries dude i appreciate all of your videos , very insightful to all of us with a bit of a black dog and the fishing is great , keep it up as it’s always well thought , balanced and the cinematography is very well executed
@herewardparry-jones841 Thank you. I try my best to make a relaxing watch. I can't rely on the fish like I used to, not so many about these days, although I still love being out there.
@@riversidewithme just keep it real it’s not the catching it’s the fishing mate but I do enjoy how you take the xtra shots of surroundings , am only over the river so will be nicking some of your spots to take my nine year old this summer , so Thankyou
Great watch Gareth, I'm going to fish that rock mark one day. My Bamps' ashes are there. Be nice to fish with him again. Thanks mate, brought back some great memories 👍👍🎣🎣
Ah that's nice Dylan, what a great spot for your Bamps' ashes. I'm sure he'd love it if you fished off there and no doubt all of those memories would come flooding back. It's a cracking mark and anything can turn up, literally! Cheers as always bud, take it easy 👍😍
Hi Gareth totally understand about the refund mate i love your Videos and i dont get out so much these days and love the videos and venues i have used myself total ledgend mate i will donate money to a worthy cause maybe subscribers could choose tight lines 👍
Thank you Vince, it was very generous of you, much appreciated. I'm pleased to hear that you enjoy the videos, hopefully more to come with a bit of luck. It was an enjoyable weekend down in Tenby, nice to get a couple of sessions in! It's probably best if you choose a charity of your choice, or just keep it for yourself bud. Cheers for the support 👍
Hello mate fished black pipe Saturday morning beautiful day only had the one bite small strap conger.fished the beach opposite docks at night 5 people 8 rods nobody had a touch, fished black rock last night 3 rods blanked again.transpoeter bridge inlet tonight targeting the bass.thise gates are open you know where I mean just chain them up after you.had 5 congers there in two sessions 12l,b ,7,7,6 and a 5 chasing the 30
Sounds like you've been getting a few sessions in mate, can't fault it...good luck on the Bass tonight, hopefully there will be one or two about. Yeah that spot on the mouth has to be one of the best Conger areas in Wales and there's every chance of getting a 30 I reckon! I used to get quite a few Thornback from there too but none this year so far. Cheers as always, tight lines! 👍
Last time I was at saundersfoot i seen plenty of guys pumping lug. Was facinated. Can you tell me anything about it, methods etc . Using own bait is the way. Cheers
I have always dug lugworm using a fork, mostly around the Newport area, that's my preferred way but others prefer a pump as I guess it's easier and more efficient. I'm no expert with a pump and so you'd be better off searching for a video on RU-vid, there's lots of lugworm pumping tutorials on here. Cheers 👍
Great video as always Gareth. I do hope you can resolve the bullying problem, as a parent I understand how difficult and worrying it can be so I wish you good luck. I have never been to Tenby but from what I have read and video footage I have seen I quite fancy a visit. So in the not to distant future, Just maybe?? Oh yes, nice Smoothie!
Thank you Gordon, it was a nice weekend down in Tenby. Young Daniel who's being bullied will hopefully be inspired by the comments on here and hopefully he will carry on dancing. It can be a cruel word at times. Tenby is beautiful, it can get a little busy during the summer holidays but other than that, it's definitely worth a visit. Nice easy fishing off either the South beach, North beach or the Harbour wall. The rocks where I was are a little more tricky underfoot but fine. Cheers for watching 👍
Tidy session we have tolerate dog fish thease days it's just how it is . My cousins boy was bullied at school for his dancing and he ignored it as best possible. Now dances for the welsh national ballet and has represented Wales many tides abroad, literally living his best life and I'm super proud of him as are we all
Yes you're right there Gareth, we have to fish through them and eventually something else turns up, although I don't mind the doggies ha! That's a great story about your cousin's boy, he definitely had the last laugh and I can see why you're all proud of him, can't fault it! Cheers for watching, take it easy 👍
Thank you mate, much appreciated. Well done on getting a couple down at the black pipe, I do like that spot, many great memories from over the years. Cheers for watching 👍
Great video again and a nice hound to go with it, a bit sad on the bullies story but like you say there are alot bad ####### out there I won't call them people because in my eyes they are worse than scum , but hey keep on fishing matey .can't wait for the next video 😊
Thank you Christopher, appreciated as always. It was an enjoyable weekend in fairness, nice to fit a couple of sessions in. Yes I agree with you there, bullying destroys lives, I've seen it damage people. Daniel is a nice kid and hopefully he'll find the strength to bounce back. Hope all is good with you, cheers for watching 👍
I've said it once and I'll say it time and time again best fishing channel on RU-vid. To the young man being bullied your better than them fella don't let their ignorance get to you. Just be yourself and good luck. As ever a fantastic video and plenty of fish. Can't wait for the next one. And enjoy your rant😂😂😂 Regards to the family My friend
Thank you Bob, appreciated as always. I'm pleased to hear that you're enjoying the channel. I don't think my channel is the best but it's nice of you to say. Your supportive words will encourage young Daniel, he's the one being bullied, he's a good kid in fairness. Hope you and your family are well, take it easy 👍
Mate what a lovely moment it's not the same without dad . Love your vids think there the best sharing stuff with us like that is heart warming and shows what a man u r
Thank you Gary, I appreciate the kind words, nice of you to say. I guess I'm just myself when filming, there's no act or anything, I'm generally quite a deep thinker etc, hence why I like to talk about Dad. Hope all is good with you bud, cheers as always 👍
