I used to be a morning person when I was a kid. In my mid 20s, I started shiftwork, and that's when I started to become more of a night person. Then (I'm not complaining, just explaining) I had an accident, became disabled with chronic pain and fibromyalgia, and fun fact about fibromyalgia: it messes up the body's normal circadian rhythm, so that sleeping at night becomes v difficult. Pain also disrupts sleep. After two or three days with little sleep, I usually then get a really long night's rest, so that makes up for it. Life lesson: Sleep as much as one can when one can. Especially in an unusual job requiring heavy physical exertion during nontraditional working hours, and also touring, even very young and healthy people should consider placing a high priority on good quality sleep. But it sounds like you already do this. 😄
Second time watching this, loved it! Hey Hannah, would you ever consider doing a video about how being an apprentice differed from being a member of the corps de ballet? I'd love to hear your experience!
Love love love your videos and your transparency in your journey. My daughter (12) is beginning to discover (after almost 10 years of dance) how deeply she loves ballet and how motivated she is by the way it challenges her. She has begun to say that she wants to go pro. We are in Costa Rica and there’s not a ton of opportunity here. Our next step is a summer program (planning to audition next winter for summer 2024 when she’ll be turning 14). all that to say, I love the way your videos help me to understand the professional world and help her to see a woman who loves the Lord and loves ballet pursuing her goals and working through the obstacles. Thank you! You are a huge blessing to me (even crazy videos like this one) and keep them coming. My heart to yours. ❤ (And if you have any advice for a 12/13 year old on the journey, send it our way.)😂
Wow. Thank you so much for this comment. It makes all the editing and effort going into these videos more then worth it. 🙏 wishing your daughter all the luck in the world for her journey
Great job hannah! So glad to see you back doing shows & enjoying yourself!! When I was training, early morning. Doing shows, I feel like u have to become a late night person. You look so cold in ur apartment. As a dancer I would find that hard on my muscles n ligaments. Hope u can get it feeling more roasty somehow! thanks for another great video!
Hi Hannah! PD. Me encantan tus videos:)
I still think it is amazing you are able to do all that, vlog AND edit at the same time so no pressure and no worries about the quality!! I feel you are still keeping it up but I am a big fan of yours so obviously, my opinion is a liiiittle bit biased🤪😁🤩
Thank you so much!! That actually means a whole lot as I am always a bit OCD about the quality of my videos. I’m always a little nervous they may get a tad repetitive and boring!
I was an early person, but now I am more of a late going up person. The Last 5 Jears i was getting up mostly at 4:30 in the morning for work. And i am glad that i don't have to do that anymore😅🙈 But i also don't like sleeping in so late, because then half of the day is gone and i don't like that 😅
I know what you mean! I dislike sleeping in because I miss my mornings so much! 🙈🙈 I know it’s just for this touring season that I have to prioritise my sleep
Hey please how long does it take for someone to learn and become ballerina dancer. Am just a beginner I don't really know what to do. Am new subscriber please respond, I will really appreciate
It really does depend on the individual, as well as age and natural ability, for most it takes many years of training, I still feel like I’m training every day to become the dancer I want to be 🙈
Hehe, I love that! I am a morning person but have picked a profession that requires my best self to come out at night 😂 I feel the walking contradiction part 🙌🏻
