Since I have already shared my main thoughts about RE Damnation itself here, I was thinking of sharing a different set of thoughts indirectly related to the film, below… I have always felt that RE Damnation and the “Umbrella’s End”/“Dark Legacy” scenario from RE: The Umbrella Chronicles were both storylines, which the mainline series feels incomplete without. Therefore, I have spent some time imagining how those two stories could have been combined, so that RE Damnation’s stakes can drive the overall story more, plus The Umbrella Chronicles’ ending can finally be paired up with its own beginning/middle. *These are the ten major changes I can imagine a RE reboot/adaptation making, if it were to combine those two stories together into one big penultimate story before RE5:* 1.) Change the timeline so that the Eastern Slav War and Chris’/Jills’ raid on Umbrella’s Caucasus Facility both take place between RE4 and RE5, rather than respectively being post-RE5 and pre-RE4. 2.) Have Ada Wong still be outwardly working with Wesker. Perhaps Leon and her could secretly find out that Wesker was getting a Dominant Plaga through Krauser anyway. So Ada only gives her Plaga to Wesker as a means to maintain his trust, while she acts as Leon’s new mole. 3.) Instead of acquiring a defective Plaga for Derek Simmons, Ada’s mission could be to infiltrate Belikova’s ranks and find a rumored lead to Umbrella’s Caucasus Facility, which is eventually found to be located in Russia. Apparently, Belikova did not know someone bigger was already playing her game, until after one of her informants discovered it and was too late to change her plans. 4.) It turns out that Umbrella’s Caucasus Facility indirectly supplied B.O.W.s like the Lickers, Hunters, and Tyrants to Belikova, who then indirectly supplied the rebels with Lickers and Hunters. She has hoped the rebels’ impractical attempts to use those creatures would discredit their cause, bolster her own international image, and inflict accidental damage to her enemies’ own ranks. 5.) Wanting to tip the scale in the rebels’ favor, though, Wesker intervenes and supplies his new Las Plagas parasites to Ataman. This allows them to control the Lickers and Hunters so they can be employed more effectively and strategically. 6.) The alternate reason why the Dominant Plagas would be defective is because they are rushed prototypes of the Type II Plagas, which Wesker’s organization would ultimately deliver by the time RE5’s events happen. 7.) J.D. would tell Leon that his friends specifically acquired the Plagas from a “another dealer, one always wore dark sunglasses”. Ada later confirms Leon’s suspicions, that Wesker is involved and is entrusting her to acquire a lead to Umbrella’s final stronghold, using the chaos caused by the rebel’s attack. 8.) The supersized Tyrants, which Leon and Buddy fight, are combined with the T.A.L.O.S. Tyrant fought at the end of Umbrella Chronicles. Both of those Tyrants are now classified under the T.A.L.O.S. banner, and the latter Tyrant is now simply the former’s variant with added armor and weaponry. 9.) After Ada has acquired the lead, that is when she finally decides to betray Wesker, by leaking it to Leon instead. Leon is then able to take that knowledge to Chris and Jill, who now work under the recently formed BSAA, and the three of them raid Umbrella’s Caucasus Facility. Leon could even join Chris and Jill on their mission, wanting to see this through to the end. 10.) Despite Ada’s act of defiance, Wesker has an ace in the hole, which allows him to track the BSAA’s activities and still successfully raid the Caucasus Facility himself. It is soon revealed that Wesker’s ace in the hole was Tricell’s Excella Gionne, who has acted as Wesker’s secret mole relaying info from the BSAA. This is the final thing setting up the events of RE5, where Umbrella is finally defeated, the heroes and Wesker are closing in on Ozwell E. Spencer’s location, the new Plagas are perfected, Excella Gionne is using her company Tricell to aid Wesker, etc.
@@SSJdaveywait where was it confirmed it was Simmons who was the plaga buyer? This is huge,cause I always thought he developed the C virus as aa way to compete with the Las plagas which made me assume he didn't already have a plaga in his possession
