This was the first proper video review anyone made of ADOFAI, and it made our whole team so happy, not even because it was positive but just to have someone finally take such a deep look into our game is really fulfilling. Not to mention illuminating to us. Thank you for doing what so few people are doing!

Played this once. Currently on 6-X. It's harder then it looks. Doesn't make it any easier that I was playing on a smx pad for laughs, but it was really fun. Good game,

My favorite out of the levels in this game has to be "Options" by Frums. It's just insane, but so much fun. One time, i beat it without a single death.

For everyone: This game has a LOT more than 4 hours of potential content. With the custom maps you can play for hunreds or even thousands of hours (i mave 500). A lot of custom maps look as good, or even better than some of the maps from the game creators.

ADOFAI VIDEO LES GO! I remember you saying a few things about this game a while ago on your stream that I didn't really agree with. I'm really glad your opinion has turned around now that you've gotten a chance to spend some time with the game. :)

I respect how you take the time to educate yourself (and us) on a variety of music games from bemani to Osu! to clone hero and then stuff like this!! It's very cool

ADOFAI is literally the first rhythm game I've ever spent more time with, and I have to say that for a beginner, it will (kinda obviously) take a lot longer than 4 hours to beat all the 20 built-in levels in the game. I've played the game for 25 hours now, and have only completed levels 1-9 and two of the symbol worlds (=11/20 completed). Just pointing out that it will really depend on the player's skill level and experience from other rhythm games when they start playing. The custom levels will of course increase the longevity of the content by a lot, but that's another story. The newly added steam workshop support makes it easy to download and play the custom worlds.

This was amazing to watch, im very glad you've enjoyed ADOFAI! As a person who watched Adofai grow from the start, it was fantastic, albeit chaotic once the burst of new players poured in! Adofai was first a flash game released a long time ago, and it only had the first three worlds, which was probably why the 3rd one gave newgrounds flashbacks haha Dont worry, new worlds are still being made, but they dont really have much time for them since they've been working hard on their main game since forever, Rhythm Doctor! (Which is almost done, homestretch) Something you maybe would like to keep an eye on!! :eyes:

When the game was first released on steam, I legit tested how hard "pure perfect" is, going through to complete the original 6 worlds plus the bonus stage with pure perfect. The experience definitely accentuates the theme of "learning how to complete a level" on a scale that goes beyond the basic gameplay; you not only need a solid understanding of rhythm and the mixture of audio and visual cues, but the ability to keep consistency with the level that you are playing to achieve that satisfying "Pure Perfect!" text at the end of a world.

After stumbling upon some Korean channels playing top-level custom charts, I was intrigued but wasn't sure if I would enjoy playing it myself. Your video sold me on the game, and I've loved every minute of it. Being a musician, the way this game visualizes rhythm is insanely cool.

One thing i like about the game is that it geometrically visualizes rhythm so it's easier to understand

The first time I saw this game, when it was not even released yet, was still beta, I was already blown away for it's amazing idea! I was already willing to try

ADOFAI now has DLC worlds, with potentially more on the way.

One important thing I really feel you should have mentioned is that it has [beta] support for custom levels. There are hundreds of community-made levels that bring so much more fun and diversity to the game, whether it be Cry which you showed on screen, Fluffing a Duck, meme levels or effect levels. While yes, it is still a beta feature and you do have to go toggle it on manually, it makes up for the lack of levels. And on top of that, you can create your own levels, which is not a beta feature, so you can add whatever songs and beats you would like. Anyways, that's just what I think about it. Your video really did hit all the points and touch all bases, aside from what I just mentioned.

4-X Love Letter is so slow and easy for me (and I love it), that I’m able to beat it in 2.3x speed (and mabye other people can do it too).

I have this game on steam, but my computer is awful so it has like 10 fps. But! The mobile version is amazing! Although you can’t access levels made by other players, you can just tap anywhere on the screen which is a lot easier than having to press a button

Are there new levels? I played it about a year back and thought I had finished the game. Or i may have just been mistaken. I like this game a lot, its amazing. Edit: i just checked. Thanks to your video, i found out that there are new worlds and content added over the year. Amazing meatball!

I have over 450+ hours of this game and this is one of the best games I’ve bought. Lots of unique levels from different creators with an amazing soundtrack

can you review sound space next? its an interesting rhythm game with a concept where you can actually use pausing to your ability to complete maps. its a roblox game, but it is still pretty cool

I bought the game a couple months ago, and have problem with opening the game. The game keep crashing when I open it. Then, I contact one of the developer and got instant reply and they are able to fix the problem. They are very friendly in chat too! I really recommend this game to you if you really enjoy playing rhythm games.

Fun fact! This game got an update about a couple days before this video got uploaded that added three new worlds and official workshop support. Well, technically two new worlds, but one was only accessible by code until now.

I am still on the first section I have perfected all of them but I cant even finish the snake one.

I'm glad you're giving this game some spotlight. At 6 dollars its a great value for money if you actually stick with it.

If you complete all the speed trials for the first 6 worlds, you will unlock world B. Once you beat that, you can go to crown island to face off against the two hardest levels in the game: OFN and Options.

i just started playing this a few days ago and for some reason i beat world 11 before world 6-10 and i still havent beat 10 and 8 (i think)

Rythm games are not my thing, and yet ADOFAI managed to hook me I`ve been playing for a month now, im on the last levels with like 2 speed trials complete - there is so much to do! Graphics and music is amazing! 9/10 as well

It's the second game i know like that, honestly i thought it was something that many people knew but i suppose i was just Lost on Playstore lmao. Also the one i played wasn't like that with the concept with battle and such. It's so interessing ! I didn't know so when i Saw peopel talk about it i didn't really put attention into it since i already knew the concept and wasn't so interest like it's something New. I really missed on something lol. I wanna try it now

Like you I spent a long time just judging this game... Though I think the original worlds might last me fair bit longer than they did you!

The main problem I have with the game isn’t even with the game. It’s the biological aspect of it. For some god forsaken reason, I can’t for the love of god sync my left and right hand. I’ve played more with my right, so ofc it’d be on time but my left hand always just falls out of sync or is late/early and that’s really annoying (esp since the harder levels demand dual-handed play).

ngl I got triggered when he said it was "uninteresting" at the start XD the rest of the video cheered me up since I'm such a big fan of rhythm games and the fact that adofai is so unique compared to the other ones. it really is an amazing game, I found it through a youtuber named bwen. And I was just amazed to see him play the game. also this is the first time I've seen a review of it. glad to see it grow

4 hours to get through all of the worlds... how? It took me over an hour just for the first... and with 6-x I've done over 150 attempts and I've only reached 37% at the furthest.

i started the game i was raging but it was still fun .-.

I am a drummer for 11 years now. And I am really good, I got into all music unis I wanted to get in (but chose another career path). But this game is so incredibly good. The feel of the music becomes immediately clear when seeing the path (mostly). It has so simple rules. They don't even have to be explained. Yet so much can be done with that. Honestly it was pretty challenging to get into. I still like sheet music more I guess, when playing difficult rythms. But it just vibes.
