Join me on my trip to Bristol, as I spend the day exploring all the cool hidden gems and iconic landmarks that this city has to offer.
I started the day off with a visit to the most iconic place in Bristol, the Clifton Suspension Bridge. I took a little stroll across both sides of the bridge to take in this masterpiece. The Clifton observatory is located near by, which also has some higher views of the bridge, along with the Giant'c cave, which leads you down to a viewing platform out in the cliffs. It's some 130 steep steps!
The Royal York Crescent near to the bridge is a love little place to have a wonder around. This then lead me to the local Clifton arcade, which has a few quirky independent shops. I made sure to stop by the Primrose Cafe for a bite to eat.
Next I spent a little bit of time exploring Brandon Hill, which is where Cabot Tower is located, with a free viewing platform with great views of the city. Whilst on my way to Bristol Cathedral, I stopped by the wills memorial building, which you can have tours of. Sadly it wasn't open when I visited, at least I had more time to stop by Bristol Cathedral, which has some beautiful architecture.
The next hour was spent in Bristol's old town, where Corn Street and St Nicholas Market is located. The market has some fantastic little gifts ideas, which I got for my fathers upcoming birthday. And there is always time for a hot chocolate!
To end my time in the city, I made sure to stop by the Bristol Marina, which is where the famous colourful houses are located, something very iconic for this city.
