Thank you for giving us this gift! My mother was born in Germany but moved to the US in 1928. Her whole life she would say that her heart's desire was to go back to Germany before she died. In 2000 I gave her her dream and took her on vacation. One of the places we visited was the Black Forest. This video reminds me of the wonderful time we had there and brings back memories of that trip. My mother never stopped talking about our trip to Germany and the joy it brought her. She died in 2011. Blessings to you and Joerg!
Ok....the scene is set. Joerg and Kirsten's fairytale romantic story. The most delightful, charming and fabulous couple you can ever possibly share adventures with. The destinations they take you to are always well thought out, picturesque and informative......not to mention Joerg's captivating photography along with Kirsten's charming commentary ❤ Thank you for sharing Germany with us!
Oh they do. I have relatives who are hereditary foresters in the Schwarzwald(Black forest in English.) my dad was Us Airforce, but we never got transfered there. Would have liked to have met relatives there and in Garmisch. He was able in the late 1950s to do a TDY to England and Germany . Unfortunately when in Germany, he didn't have time to go to Nuremberg, to see the family history book kept by family. Glad and happy you are bringing such wonderful places to us.
Hello from the states. Germany looks absolutely beautiful. The Black Forest looks like a fairytale. So beautiful. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. Safe travels.
If you like old charming houses, the Harz area is a good place too, like Wernigerode. Personally I live in a small town where a house doesn't count as old if it hasn't at least 200 years on it. This always shocks US people ;)
I just love listening to your soothing voices. You two seem to be so in tune to one another. True love and compatibility are a wonder and joy to behold. Please know without a doubt that you both are admired and loved. I’m privileged to be one of your subscribers. Thankyou so very much for your hard work and dedication. Blessings from just a grandma in Texas 🇺🇸🥰
New Saturday morning tradition in our household: we watch Kirsten & Joerg! Thank you. You go places we may never see in real life and we are so very grateful.
I actually live in the Black Forest. It's nice to see my home through the eyes of someone else. It makes me appreciate more where I live. I used to go on vacation to the UK almost every year before the pandemic. I really like your videos.
The village is so well cared for. Flowers all around and in window boxes make it so picturesque. So much history. The owners of properties must receive help for upkeep and flower maintenance. Not one house is in tatters or even near it. The black forest cake, oh my. What can I say, your native country has been a joy to visit with you. Thanks so much, Kirsten and Joerg.😊💕👋🏼
Many thanks again for taking me on that wonderfully, magical journey. It has been very many years since I visited there. I also was born in Germany and moved to England and now live in Canada. Being in my 70's now, I return and joyfully travel, vicariously, to my home countries, through your adventures. I can't thank you enough. Love to you both....Brigitte
I am in the US, but many years ago now, (late 70's & early 80's) one of my brothers that had joined the US Army ended up stationed in Germany for 3 years. To this day, his favorite desserts are German chocolate cake & Black forest cake lol. He always remarked on the architecture that he had seen there.
Kristen and Jorg, you two are my favorite people ❤. You seem so calm and kind. I wish there were more folks like you in the world. Thank you for the lovely videos and places. I have watched you for about two years ❤❤ It’s great!!!
It’s my all-time most most favorite place! I have always dreamed and envisioned going to the black forest in Germany and you are so very blessed to be able to be a part of that and thank you so much for bringing it to us!👍💯❤️💯❤️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ absolutely spectacular!👌
Kirsten & Joerg. What a beautiful place. Would love to visit the Schwartzwald. We have a board chair with a heart ❤ cut in the back and a cuckoo cuckoo clock. As I said before one of my great grandfather s came from that region. I really love living history sites. Very educational. Dovie liked the goats. Have a safe trip. Cheers Ron & Dovie.
Russian wooden houses always had the "beautiful corner" with an icon, a candle, setting on a small piece of fabric with red embroidery, perhaps. Red being the "beautiful" color.
You know that both of you have a wonderful outlook on life - I especially was struck by how grateful you are in everything you do. It comes across in such a lovely way. As always, thanks for sharing with us!!!
The Black Forest region is such a charming part of the world. It is very reminiscent of Switzerland, which I know is just south of the Black Forest. Thank you for another lovely trip to your homeland.
You made me fall in love with Germany all over again. I went on holiday many years ago to the Black Forest with a boyfriend and had the most wonderful holiday, but only saw a small fraction of the area. In Northern Ireland they have many outside museums showing how people used to live, and also how they moved to America. I think you would find it interesting..
Truly gorgeous, the Black Forest,it's where I come from. Its hard to watch this video because it is my homeland and I get so homesick. Thank you for taking me home for a short trip.
Loved seeing the charming cottages and gardens in this beautiful part of Germany. Thanks guys for taking us along, and great job as always with the filming. 😍
Good morning Kirsten and Jöerg, It is a fairy tale place sure.I love your romantic videos they bring me peace.Thank you very much. You are so lovely persons.🌹🙏👏❤️
Oooo lovely Kirsten. Just what I've been looking forward to. Just need to do a couple of small chores, then I shall sit down with a nice cup of tea to enjoy this lovely video that you have prepared for us.
The forest indeed looks like the scene of the many Grimm Brothers tales that it inspired!!! The bark of the trees indeed appear as sable!!! And the moss growing is bright deep verdant hue - I remember earth looking reddish and, at autumn, a crystalline mist in the air!!! Then suddenly a little boy appeared from behind the trees with toy sword in hand: demanding to know who we - interlopers to "his kingdom" - were! Only one visit there 40 years ago - but vividly memorable. Gott segnet euch - alle!!!❤🙏🏼🎆
The Schwarzwald is so very beautiful. I remember many beautiful streams and forests, gorgeous homes and pretty geraniums everywhere. I especially loved the little farms, where the animals lived on the first floor and the people lived above. So clean and refreshing. Thank you! 🌷💗🌷
Thank you for showing the delightful places Germany. They really are heart warming and beautiful homes and gorgeous green immaculate countryside. Stunning.
You bring back our memories of visiting Germany with my mother in 2013. We visited Titisee too for cuckoo clocks. Some clock cottages had them on the outer wall ! The country roads leading to it were like a dream, living in a fairy story, so lovely and peaceful. Have no words to express this. We are inspired by the beauty of Germany, you must be humbly taking pride in it.
Very interesting to see and learn how they lived so many years ago! Your dress is darling! Very unique with the birds , just lovely Thank you for this lovely tour!
Ich wurde in Hornberg geboren, ein paar Kilometer entfernt.Oh it remember me my Grand father , he took's me with him every where he go.Ich kann ein paar Tränen nicht zurückhalten.I live in France since 55 years but the memory of this time is in my heart for ever.
Dear Ones! You cannot imagine the tears of great joy when I see your beautifully presented videos - please always know you are so beloved by the world!
Thank you so much for the visit to the Black Forest now I understand the design of the cookoo clock my mother had. Her side of the family was German. Something I’m only now learning to appreciate
OMG you are in my favourite area! I’ve been to this museum about five times already and my kids love to go to the sommerodelbahn after. I will press pause and watch this with my husband later because it is a very special place for us! 💓 thanks for taking us along
This viog is an all time favorite. The towns were beautiful. I'm so happy that they live on after all these years. Your quiet enjoyment also put me into a trance along with the scenery/beautiful music. I felt I was floating on a magic carpet. I thought the Black Forest Cake/Gateau was so mouthwatering. Thanks for sharing this trip with us.
I have been so looking forward to seeing the Black Forest area. My grandparents visited a lot in the 1960s and had a very vocal cuckoo clock in their home which did keep me awake, haha. A very enjoyable video, stunning houses and scenery, and the animals looked very happy too!
Back in the 50s/60s my granddad always told me the story of Hansel and gretel I loved it those houses are what I imagined. You must miss Germany so much with all the beauty there
Absolutely stunning. The buildings and scenery are just so beautiful. Joerg I definitely have Black Forest cake envy. Kirsten you look so beautiful in these videos. What a lovely way to end my evening taking in such beauty of Germany.
My mum is from around the black forest. I'll have to show her this video. She came to Australia in the sixties. I was born 1965. The landscape and buildings are gorgeous. 🌻🙂🌻
You bring back wonderful memories of my husband’s and my trip to Bavaria and southern Germany in fall 2019. Afternoon coffee and cake was a favorite moment each travel days. We traveled with friends from Nurnberg.
These houses are built with love- in Germany and in the UK as well. You can see the soul shining through them. I think this is the reason for the joy to visit them.
My father's grandfather came with his family from Baden-Baden in 1857 on a sailing ship to Massachusetts. I just love your channel & especially your trips to Germany
So enjoyed this tour of the beautiful Black Forest and the living history museum that showcases traditions so well. I actually visited the world’s largest cuckoo clock this summer- in Sugarcreek, Ohio, no doubt. Thanks for sharing German glory with us!
What a beautiful place, Kirsten and Joerg thank you so much, I throughly enjoyed it! I don’t know why but it reminded me of Alice in wonderland, maybe because of the name Black Forest! Have a safe trip back home.💕
